Sulwen:
I was once told this was not a game. No, it’s not. This is hell on earth, and I should’ve stopped it before it happened. But I was afraid…of what, I have no idea. I held the power to prevent this destruction. Weakness of mind and body paralyzed me from pursuing my destiny.

I am the one.

I am power.

I am their demise.

I live a life where I play many roles...as most women do when they are a wife, mother, and caretaker of a rowdy dog with an appetite for furniture. But when I'm not working my day job, or spending time with my family, I can be found glued to my laptop where I love to create worlds with sexy alpha males and brazen heroines. I'm also an avid fan of heavy metal and rock music, and regularly attend music festivals with my better half.

i was so excited about this book after reading kairos ( the first in the series) and it was well worth the wait. i loved this book. the story line keeps you wanting more. the characters are so lovable. there was passion, suspense, action to name but a few on the metanoia roller coaster of emotion! i cried while reading in a few areas of the book because i got so sucked in, and felt so much for sulwen and logan. the ending was awesome! the only problem i have now is waiting for my next enmortals fix!!! fantastic work by k.j.coakley! you smashed it again! xx

****** I was given an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review ******

4.5 stars for Metanoia! Kairos left us with many questions that were answered in Metanoia. Of course, there are are still some unanswered questions, but instead of frustration and confusion, I felt excitement, anxiousness, and anticipation for the next book in the series. Sulwen was left feeling tortured and traumatized at the end Kairos. This changed her in many ways and she dealt with these changes in extremely unhealthy ways mOf course, Logan is always there, showing her every day how powerful his love for her his and helping her heal. The relationship between these two only grows stronger in this book. K. J. Coakley weaves a solid story that mixes passion, mystery, and betrayal. She has drawn her readers into the story and makes them invested in what happens between all of her characters. A wonderful storyteller leaves the reader with a thirst for more. Well, K. J., I'm parched.

Metanoia
KJ Coakley
Am Immortals series novel

KJ Coakley captured me with this book. Her writing was amazing from the start of this one until the last page. I didn’t want to put this book down. I loved the more in depth characters and getting to see the different sides. The only down side is the massive cliff hanger at the end and waiting for the next book to release in the New Year. Kairos was good this one will knock your socks off!!

“I’m damaged. So damaged that I don’t even recognize myself any more, will I ever be whole again?”

Sulwen Macgregor- the star child had so much in her life change so couldn’t remember what a simple life was any more now everything was about the barrier coming down revenge on what had happened when the cop turned her. While her powers come to the fore front her need for Logan to be okay and forgiving her weakness was always in the back!

“I’m the last guy on the face of the earth who deserves to find love or happiness, But I’m too f*cking selfish not to grab it and run.”

Logan Thatcher- knew sulwen was his soul mate, but the guilt after not being able to keep her safe ate at him in ways no one could understand after being in a coma and not seeing her. He knew it was too good to be true. Can she forgive him for letting her be taken and God what had happened to her before she escaped….

Can these two find again what they had?

Can Logan except the power sulwen now has as the Star child?

Can they figure out the plot around them before the barrier ceremony happens?
Or will sulwen find out Logan’s last secret and destiny all they have overcome?

***I received this book as an ARC in return for an honest review****

I was dying to get my hands on Metanoia after reading Kairos, the first book in the series.
Let me say this book did not disappoint. Sulwen and Logan sucked me into there world heart and soul. I cried, I cheered, I laughed, and I even felt their frustration.
Metanoia answers many question from Kairos and leaves you with a ton more. Lets not forget about the sexy scenes they where perfectly placed and written. Bravo K.J Coakley.
Another aspect that really won me over was being able to learn a little more about the side characters that made this book just as great. Maybe there will be Novellas just for them in the future ;).

OH MY DAYS! I LOVED THIS! absolutely loved it. Following on from Kairos, and you REALLY MUST read that first, as much of this will not make sense if you dont, it picks up almost right where we left Sulwen and Logan, apart, injured and broken. But Sully has changed, she begins to harness her power, and the bigger picture comes a litte more clearer.

There are some changes to the way this book is written. Its still in the first person, present tense, BUT we get Logan as well this time! Each person change is headed, and usually occurs with a chapter change. We get all Sully's thoughts feeling and emotions, and Logan's too, and I love that we do. Some family secrets are revealed here, and some darker deadly reasons for Sully to strengthen the Barrier, for lives are at stake. Her's and Logan's included.

What I particularly liked about this one, it twists and turns in ways I didnt see coming, and thats always a good thing for me. We get some more history of the Barrier and Sully's family and the fact that Sully is an old soul. I'm not going to go into great detail, as what I've said doesnt give the plot away, but anymore might, and that would spoil it.

Sully and Logan are still hot for each other, but not so much in the early part of the book. The latter part alos deals with some topics that some readers may find difficult to deal with. I did, and I have first hand experience of said topic. Be warned.

Still cant quite stretch to 5 fangs, cos of the first person thing, so 4.5 fangs. and I know there will be a third book, I just hope its not too long a wait!

OH, I failed to mention that book one has a "OH MY GOSH" sort of ending. this one? THIS ONE??? it has a "ARE-YOU-FREAKING-KIDDIN-ME", a throw-your-kindle-at-the-wall sort of ending! So, like I said, lets hope book three isn't too long a wait away!

Sulwen learned the hard way that she has to take everything happening seriously. Now she is hardened and determined to do whatever it takes to protect her world from the danger most people don't even know about.

Logan almost died and its taken him time to heal, when he finally gets back to the mansion he realizes things are not quite to same and Sulwen is different from who she once was. Can he accept her as she is now and help her fight her demons?

With the time fast apporaching Sulwen has to learn not only to control her powers, but she has to also figure out who to trust. Things are never quite what they seem and with things having changed to much for her it's hard for her to keep up sometimes, but she does the best she can with what she's given.

Logan has secrets piling up on top of secrets and he still hasn't learned his lesson about that blowing up in his face. He is such a sweetie wanting to take care of his girl, but sometimes I just wanted to strangle him to help him realize he needed to always be up front and honest.

Sulwen has grown up allot and doesn't take anything for granted anymore. She has become quite the badass when it comes to fighting and it was great to see her come into her own.

The story not only continues, but evolves to show you more of this world and the different things that there are in it and going on there. There is also allot more steamy content than the previous book so be sure to keep a fan close by to cool down!

OMG!!! I couldn't wait to start this book even though it was late at night I just had to read it lol. Sulwin struggles to come to terms with what happened to her. She's the star child destined to save everyone. In this installment we find out more about Duncan's plans for Sulwin. Sulwin and Logan's love endures everything they've been through to make them stronger as a couple. The star child comes into her powers and in some circumstances it will have you laughing out loud about it Sulwin's training makes her a stronger more confident person to have fighting beside you in this battle they all will soon face.. I finished this story in one night because I couldn't go to bed until I finished it and it only left me wanting more. I can't wait for the next book in this series to come out to learn what will happen next. If you haven't read this series you should I loved it and will recommend it to all of my friends

Holy freaking crap!!! Talk about suspense. This book was the best book I have ever read (it was Kairos). The writing just pulls you in and takes you on a ride that is so unbelievable. I had times where I was yelling at the characters like they were real while also having "aha" moments along with some "I told you so" times also. Sully is trying to get on with life after the double trauma she endured in such a short time span. It was so emotionally gut wrenching. Not knowing how to deal with pain is so common amongst people with trauma but I never thought to use almost the same type of sexual pain to move forward. Logan's real self comes out so much in this book in so many different aspects that I want one just like him. The "bombs" that were dropped in this book about almost every character was so unexpected that I kept shaking my head in disbelief. I can't wait to read this again and future books to grace us with so much important knowledge. Great work K.J. Coakley.

The second book in KJ Coakley’s The Emmortals Series, I had to instantly read this book right after finishing the first one. Sulwen, aka Sullie, has been through so much in her life. Now that she has come into her powers she looks for approval and love from Logan. Yet, she is not the person she once was and can’t go back to being that scared little girl. Logan can’t forgive himself for not keeping her safe, so he pushes her away to protect her, thinking he isn’t good enough for her and she deserves better. My heart ached for the turmoil these two went through. But, the sexual tension and attraction pulls these two back together where they belong – even if it’s a different version of the relationship they once had

I love how Sulwen grew in this book and was no longer the wilting flower that she was in the first book from the series. She became a kick-ass heroine who could fight with the best and did she ever! Logan was the same alpha male who wanted to keep her safe, but he could see what she has become and knew not to stand in her way. LOVE THAT!

The author did another fantastic job with the writing and world building in this book! I can’t wait to see where this series continues and to read more about Sullie and Logan and their world!

This book picks up right where Kairos left off. And I will tell you I was holding my breath waiting for an answer to the cliffhanger. Fortunately Ms. Coakley did not break my heart.

This book has even more twists and turns and action than the first one and I loved every page of it. We learn that some characters are not who you think. Trust will be broken and friends may become enemies. Ms. Coakley weaves even more tales of the past into this story. It helps us see what Sulwen was meant to be. It was great to see her grow as a person in this book. She is also trying to deal with a dark side of herself.

I don't feel like I can do this book justice with a review. It is intense, nail biting, and full of suspense and surprises. I really can't wait until the next book. I will be crossing the days of my calendar and anxiously awaiting. This is a series that you will feel like you are invested in each and every characters lives.
