Jack Brown is a typical California teenager who wants to work for a private space company named Far Call Aerospace. Hoping to get a job as a summer intern, he drives to the company's launch site in Mojave -- and before he knows it, he's on his way to the Moon. But the journey is only the beginning of his adventures -- for besides his crew, someone else is already on the Moon . . . .
Not my usual read, space, crazy Russians and nuclear weapons. What's not to love? The characters are great, and the situation out of this world. Jack should really think twice about taking a job for no pay!
A great adventure from the beginning. Jack is a delightful character, full of enthusiasm and persistence. His interest in rockets fuels the setting at the start of the story. The rest of the story has a lot of unexpected turns that make for an exciting YA adventure.
