In short, this book offers some bite-sized principles to put in practice in marriage.
"No matter how serious you are about your marriage, if you don't know the reason why it exists, you will abuse it in some way."
No one enters a marriage hoping to divorce or meet frustrations, but with ignorance of purpose the odds are against us for sure.
Men and women are different in function, inherent needs, response to things etc, but these differences are complementary. The struggle is to get proper and full understanding of these differences and how they were designed to function in a marriage.
We have these subtle expectations when we enter marriage that tend to lead to disappointments when they are not met.

This was a relatively quick and easy read. Possibly because the book read as detailed bullet points surrounding key truths and concepts for marriage. There were some points that I would have liked greater detail or explanation on (hence the one star reduction). However, the truths that were presented were insightful and at times simple and seem easy enough to implement. I appreciate that with each presented “key” there was a Bible verse to support it.

I wish l had read this before l got married
I wish l had read this before l got married. Things would have been so much easier for me and l would not have gone through what l went through if l had read and fed upon the biblical principles contained in this little book. I highly recommend if you are considering marriage or are preparing for it, save yourself some trouble by reading and feeding on this book.

Wow, reawakening!
What an astounding and profound formula to understanding your purpose and position as an individual in your marriage. As ascension gift ministry, it’s not easy to come across material that is able to give your marriage a robust input of God’s view of marriage.

Simple.
Where there's no vision people perish thus have a purpose towards your marriage. Again Men and Women are different not in the sense that one is superior and the other is inferior but different by design.

I took a page of notes--and love his short perspective on a godly marriage. Easy read, completed 157 pages in less than 30 minutes.
