Trapped With A Billionaire: An Enemies to Lovers Sweet Romance

Rate this book
I got stuck in a hurricane with the grumpy billionaire trying to take my home… and somehow, I ended up falling for him.

Asher Grant rolls into Magnolia with a deed in one hand and plans to sell everything in the other- including my family’s inn.

He’s gruff, distant, and way too calm about bulldozing the place I’ve spent my life building.
I meet him with sass, charm, and a spine that doesn’t bend.

Then the hurricane hits.
Evacuation orders come in, but we’re already trapped.

The inn becomes the only safe place left—for both of us.
One creaky attic.
Nowhere to hide from the man who drives me crazy—and makes me feel something I never expected.

He boards windows.
Fixes the generator.
And when I can’t sleep, he holds my hand like it means something.

Somehow, the billionaire I couldn’t stand is becoming the one I can’t stop thinking about.
But when the skies clear, he’s still holding the deed—
And maybe my heart too.

Coming Home . . .

Asher Grant gets an email entitled “Grant Estate Asset Reallocation – Immediate Action Required”, referring to the fact that his grandfather has passed away and he inherited everything, including a crumbling estate in Magnolia, North Carolina. Not wanting to waste any time on this, Asher tells his business partner he will assess the property, sell it, and be back by Monday. Then Linda tells Asher about Emily Turner who owns the bed-and-breakfast that is technically part of the property, so his visit may last longer than he planned.

Asher arrived at the mansion his grandfather had built and sees the bed-and-breakfast snuggled next to the main house. He gets out of the SUV and a barefoot woman with hands on hips and chin in the air tells him he is trespassing. So he told her he will have this property on the market by the end of the month. He did offer to pay her for the B&B to start elsewhere even though he legally owns it, but she tears up his offer. He walks over to talk to her the next morning as she works on the roses. A tropical storm warning came from her phone as she tells him they need to prepare for the hurricane. Asher follows her inside the Inn and offers to get the gas for the generator while Emily and Charlotte work on the rest of the preparation list. It doesn’t take long to notice every task goes quicker with Asher around. He is efficient, skilled, strong, and quiet as he gets the tasks done, even crawling under the porch to check the generator connection. He asks why she doesn’t go elsewhere rather than endure the hurricanes. And when she says, “This inn isn’t just where I live—it’s who I am,” he understands at last. When he starts to return to his house, Emily and the others at the Inn tell him to stay, and seeing how everyone, even the townspeople, help and support each other, he starts to see things differently. But is he ready to make major changes in his life to accept the woman he is falling in love with?

I really wanted to like this book, but unfortunately, it just didn’t work for me. I couldn’t get invested in the story or the characters—the emotional connection between them felt shallow, and their motivations didn’t make much sense. The timeline also felt inconsistent and confusing at times, which made it harder to stay engaged.

About halfway through, I realized I wasn’t enjoying it, but I pushed through anyway. I ended up skimming the last 100 pages just to finish it. It had potential with the setup and tropes, but overall, it didn’t deliver.

This might work better for readers who enjoy light romance and don’t mind glossing over plot details or timeline inconsistencies, but it wasn’t the right fit for me.

Thank you BookSprout for the ARC.

When Asher arrives at Turner House Inn, he becomes Emily's new personal nemesis. She wants to protect her Inn. Through the hurricane they find themselves working together and now are also unite forces for protection of the estate. The past and the future meets in one place. And they are protecting both. Together.
Wonderful characters, great local community. There were some inconsistencies in timeline and actions, but it didn't bother to enjoy the vibe.

Emily and Asher are totally opposites, and he has blown into town and turned everything upside down. When a hurricane hits, they are forced together, and she sees a different side two him. Will their close proximity bring them together and lead them along the path to romance.

I liked the plot and how it was written. However, there were times when I was a little confused on the characters. Sometimes, there seemed to be things missing in the story line. Otherwise, it was a good book.
