Living the Lord's Prayer: Walking in the Truth of the Prayer That Changes Everything

Rate this book
Living the Lord’s Prayer is not just a book—it’s an invitation to experience the Lord’s Prayer in a way that can transform your daily life. Too often, we recite this powerful prayer without truly grasping its depth. But what if it’s more than words? What if it holds the key to a life of greater confidence, inner peace, victory in life’s battles, and the experience of “Life that is truly life."

With forewords from Jeff Foxworthy, John Smoltz, and Ernie Johnson, as well as Joni Eareckson Tada (Joni & Friends) and Newt Crenshaw (Young Life), Chuck Scott and Dr. Doug Howe take you on a welcoming and refreshing tour of the prayer Jesus taught—not as a ritual, but as a roadmap for living. With humor, personal stories, and practical challenges, this book reveals how each phrase of the prayer holds hidden clues to a thriving life and faith. You'll discover why the word “Our” changes everything, why loving others starts with loving yourself, and how prayer unlocks supernatural power.

Whether you’ve never prayed the prayer at all, or prayed it thousands of times, or never really thought about it, this book will reshape how you see God, yourself, and your life purpose. Get ready to not just pray the Lord’s Prayer—but to live it.

This was a great step by step walk through the Lord's Prayer. A great reminder to slow down and pay attention when we are saying the words out loud and actually hearing what we are saying. It is written from a male perspective but the insights in the book cross gender lines.
