Halloween comes to Valdier. Cara, Abby and the other ladies make some fun for their young dragonlins. We all know that Cara invention leads the way for mischief and mayhem. The playground she wanted/intended for the draonglins and their friends become a testing ground for the much older children they married. The introduction of Halloween and the haunted house makes for lots of laughs, a few mischievous goddesses, demonic symbiots, missing children, and an adventure full of more goodness.

Narration provided by David was another complement.

An excellent addition to the Dragon Lords world.

This one was even better than the Easter Egg Hunt. There is something so freeing reading about all the kids and the big kids having just as much fun.

Vox is completely hilarious. All of the dads are funny. I am so glad that the goddess's got to interact with the kids and also with the parents. I enjoy the theme of family and friends are what's most important in life. I love the dragonlings and I cannot wait to get more of them. I really need to figure out what is happening with Phoenix. I also know that in the The Dragonlings' Very Special Valentine that was released earlier this year we get to know more about Phoenix because S.E. Smith told us that would be happening.

Chock full of dragonling adorableness. Their younglings are beyond cute and the Halloween playground they’ve been given sounds like worlds of fun. However, I’m getting a little frustrated by the characterization of all the human females being high-maintenance, conniving, and manipulative. I’m almost as tired of seeing all the alien males being consistently painted as nothing more than overbearing, protective alphas. The thing that drives me the most batty is that after all this time, and this many books, still nobody seems to have the faintest understanding of one another.

The earth women are hiding a secret. They are converting the dungeon into a Halloween attraction park. The men are obsessed with finding out what they are doing. They have never heard of Halloween , so Trelon puts a tracker on Cara. When the men sneak out in the middle of the night to explore, they freak out when weird things start to happen. Of course the dragonlings are there and cause more havoc.
Nice novella to add to the many great books about the Valdier!

Halloween and beach day stories

Enjoy the revising of previous stories of mated pairs and their offspring. Both stories were wonderful and I snickered throughout them.
Look forward to more. Recommend they have engineer’s build amusement, entertainment parks with their culture themes and other worlds. Make it new way for income and tourism.

Delightful

I love the dragonlings and their friends. They are the cutest! And such precocious little things. Lol.

But man, the guys experiencing these Earth holidays is priceless! Full on hilarious! These families are too cute and I look forward to more stories with them.

Imagine a Halloween rollercoaster ride through a haunted forest for the aliens who do not understand what Halloween is about. This is laugh out loud funny. The different reactions between the the dragonlings and their fathers had me laughing so hard. I loved it.

LOL

I's couldn't stop laughing at some's of the antics these shape shifting children got into. This was such a good book reminiscent of O'Henery's The Ransom of Red Chief. What a delightful book.

What a wonderful Halloween Treat! A short story that is not short on entertainment. If you love this series you will love this holiday novella.
Back in the wonderful world the Princesses create not just a playground but a full amusement park for all the young dragonlings, shifter and magical babies (who are quickly growing into mischievous toddlers). The unused basement of the castle has been converted into an entertainment park that would rival Universal, additionally enhanced for the upcoming Halloween festivities the women have planned. Of course that means lots of trouble their hunky alpha mates get into when their curiosity gets the better of them.
It was so enjoyable seeing most of the heroes, heroines and their children all together and I also loved the new "golden characters", that belong to the "goddess". I hope to see more of them in future stories.
This was a fun filled romp that will have you smiling, chuckling and yearning for the next full book in this wonderful series.

It was a magical book that brought a smile to my face. I loved the fact that the men thought they could get one up on the women! I hope that there will be a Christmas book as well!

I loved the book, love the series' (Valdier, Curizan and Sarafin), love the author S E Smith's wonderful and futile imagination with this world. The book was a delight to read and I felt that I was hearing from some wonderful well loved and respected friends as I read this book. Characters including the children revealed new parts of their personalities and these short stories in which S E Smith brings all the characters from previous books together are a delightful interlude, which keeps you in touch with loved stories. You feel that you can continue the relationship with them without having to say goodbye.
Wonderful work S E Smith.
And to be cliche but completely honest, I can't wait for the next book!

Dragonlings of Valdier

The story line was FANTASTIC! All the mates remind me living on base how the men were more of a handful then the children when it came to the holidays. It was funny and I love how she threw bits of of possible story lines out there without showing which one she's going to follow. The only negative is I believe she should have charged more, because her work is well worth it. She should get more credit. It was a funny loving story, with a great plot. It is neat to see how she explains our holidays to someone who's never experienced them, but you want to share those wonderful memories.

Must love the Valdier Dragons!!!!
I truly enjoyed this short story. It is like I cannot get enough of the Lord dragons and their mates. The children are sweet and they match their patents.
I loved to see again each one of them and I am glad Susan keeps writing about them.
Sara has decided that after a successful Easter celebration a Halloween celebration it's a must. She enrolls all ther sisters in law including Riley (Vox's wife) and Emma (Ha'ven's wife).
Now the Lord dragons, Vox and Ha'ven find themselves in trouble when they discover the Halloween set up but their wive's are there to rescued them.
Loved it! Loved it!
I am looking forward to a Christmas celebration.

Absolutely adorable. I dare you to read this without giggling, snickering or laughing out loud. The mates are hiding something and it's driving the men batty *grin* and of course they go snooping, trying to discover what their mates have been up to. The dragonlings are having the time of their lives (even better than Easter!) and when the men discover the secret, they can't resist exploring, with comical consequences.

I love the Valdier dragon books but these holiday short stories focusing on the dragonlings are pure gems. I can't wait for Christmas :)

I laughed till I nearly wet myself at the antics of the grown up men in this book.
Cara has built a mini Disney playground under the palace and when Abby laughingly mentions the new playground would be the perfect place to have a Halloween party, Cara goes into super drive and creates a Haunted House adventure for the dragonlings.
The fun really starts when the men decide sneak down and test the playground first. Having never been or seen anything like this before they are soon out of their depth.

Released today, and I have bought and read it already. Loved it!!! These short story tidbits from S. E. Smith's Valdier world are truly wonderful. Getting a chance to see into the family lives of characters that you have read about leaves you with a warm feeling inside. Of course, it is always a toss up as to who acts more like children, the babies or the big tough alpha men...lol. PLEASE Ms Smith, keep sending these tales our way.

Another fun short read from S.E. Smith, I must admit I was starting to tire a little bit reading this story line but after reading this book I now want to read the book on Vox and I'm once again ready to see where the author is taking the story... she added in a teaser and I bit.

So if you like cute little stories this is the book for you... read the stories in order and you'll be fine with this book.

My favorite part of these novellas is seeing the men deal with Earth holidays. And this one didn't disappoint. Here, the girls have created one hell of a playground for the kids and have decked it out for Halloween. Determined to figure out the secret that the girls are keeping from them, the guys sneak down to where they have been working and discover so many things they don't understand. And the funny ensues.
