I’m loving this series so much! Small-town vibes and strong family ties along with edge-of-your-seat suspense...what more could I ask? I liked Robyn’s saga even more than Livy’s, though!

Warning, this book will keep you up late, reading!
I thoroughly enjoyed Patricia Bradley’s latest installment in her Logan Point romantic suspense series. It was fun to catch up on what’s happening in the lives of characters I met in the previous books, but if you haven’t read her previous novels, it won’t detract from the story in any way.

This is a compelling read about a woman who finds the courage, more than two years after her abduction, to help the police catch her abductor. I like how Patricia showed in well-placed glimpses into Robin’s backstory just how long and hard a journey that was. It convinced me that she’d agree to the police’s plans, even though I sure wouldn’t! (As an aside, the serial kidnapper that the hero and heroine are trying to catch is not sexually assaulting the women, which I was glad about. He was scary enough, and I really liked the root of his motivation that was slowly revealed. I found it very believable.) Not far past the halfway point, I was pretty confident I’d figured out who the bad guy was, and I’m ridiculously pleased to have been right.

But I have to say that in the last few chapters, Patricia did an awesome job of messing with my head and making me second guess myself. I enjoy books that keep the bad guy a mystery so the reader can vicariously enjoy figuring out whodunit along with the characters. The romance and the internal and interpersonal challenges the hero and heroine were each working through complemented the suspense plot nicely. Looking forward to the next book!

Not one, but two waitresses have disappeared from a popular Logan Point truck stop restaurant; simply without a trace. Robyn Martin's family has only received one disturbing correspondence from her in two years after the wife and mother of one mysteriously disappeared, Samantha Jo Woodson' s high profile family fears the worst after the young woman virtually vanishes after a routine Saturday evening shift at Johnny B's. Senator Woodson hires Dallas private investigator Alex Jennings to find his granddaughter, sending Alex literally flying from Texas to the small town of Logan Point, Mississippi to pursue the case. Upon arrival in Logan Point, Alex is ironically connected to Robyn's family while staying at Kate Martin's bed and breakfast. There he meets Robyn's cousin, Olivia Reynolds, a homicide detective on personal leave from her department, after suffering the effects of traumatic stress.

Teaming their skills and pooling their resources, Alex and Livy soon determine that the two disappearances are not only connected but part of a much larger circle of crimes. More than one local patron fits the description of a possible serial criminal and solving the case will demand risks on everyone's part to conceal what they know about the kidnapper before he strikes again. Ingenious twists and turns, coupled with a variety of suspects and a light dose of romance, make "Gone Without a Trace" a phenomenal suspense novel on multiple levels.

Gone Without a Trace is my favorite of the Logan Point series thus far. I was engaged by the story line right away...who doesn't love a cold case missing person mystery to solve? Along with solving the mystery, there was character growth for Livy as she worked through PTSD.

Well done mystery/suspense novel! I look forward to the fourth book of the series which comes out in the spring.

Gone Without a Trace is a thrilling, keeps-you-guessing romantic suspense! I loved the way the author started out the prologue to the story. You get a little glimpse at the villain in the middle of a horrible deed. This peek is not gory, but just gives the reader an understanding of the depth of depravity going on. This is one seriously messed up man!

The mystery that must be solved is very interesting and involves missing waitresses. I really enjoyed the storyline and the attraction that develops between the two main characters, Alex and Livy. Both carried some self-doubt and troubles from their past that they needed to overcome. The growth of their relationship was a nice addition to the story.

I liked the twists and turns that this plot took. It kept me interested from page one until the end. I kept changing my mind about who the bad guy was and the author truly kept me guessing. This villain was very well written. I liked how the reader got glimpses into his thoughts, but it was never enough to put it all together and ruin the “surprise” of who he is.

Gone Without a Trace is book three in the Logan Point series, but can stand alone. The author does a good job of filling the reader in about details they need to know from the first two books.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This has been my favorite of the set thus far. I enjoyed this mystery and was pleased to see a mystery resolved that had been mentioned in the earlier stories. I really liked getting to know Livy and Alex and the introduction of other characters. There were 3/4 solid suspects for much of the book and I wasn’t for sure who the bad guy would be till near the end. Great mystery/suspense read!

This book is the best in the Logan Point series so far. There’s one more to go, so we’ll see if it beats this one. That will be awfully hard to do.

The missing persons and kidnapping angles of this story made it so incredibly intriguing to me. The tension throughout and the plot reminded me of a couple of my favorite episodes of Criminal Minds. It was fun to see if I could figure out the clues along the way and sort it all out before the leads in the story did. This was a very entertaining suspense novel that kept me guessing throughout.

I have to admit I got way confused. It was a complicated mess until about halfway through the book. Then it started clearing up. I don't know if many would make it to the middle but It's worth it if you do and it will make sense eventually. Pay attention, I think that was my downfall at first. The end was definitely worth the finish line.

I enjoyed the suspense - it was interesting and kept me guessing. I liked also the kidnapper’s POV and following the clues to find out his identity. There was some things in the end I could see coming but this was definitely a thrilling ride.

Enjoying this series.

Missing women, a seriously messed-up bad guy, and moments of pulse-racing suspense will keep you riveted to the page in Patricia Bradley’s latest contribution to the Logan Point series, Gone Without A Trace.

Wow! Don’t plan on sleeping until you finish this book! This is movie-worthy suspense, folks. At times chilling, at others heart-stopping, but never too easy to solve. I didn’t nab the bad guy until just before they did. Ms. Bradley is extremely skilled at writing suspense that holds your attention (translated: make sure you have no pressing engagements before you start reading her books) and keeps you guessing.

There are really two love stories going on in Gone Without A Trace but the main one is between Livy Reynolds, a Memphis cop suffering post-traumatic guilt after a fatal shooting, and Alex Jennings, the Dallas P.I. who reminds her too much of her flighty dad. While Alex is drawn to Livy pretty much right away, Livy is more hesitant due to what she perceives as similarities between him and the father that abandoned her after her mother’s death. As they work together to solve the disappearances of Samantha Jo and Robyn, Livy softens under Alex’s steady presence… with a little help from her cousin’s precocious matchmaking daughter Abby. I really liked the two of them as a team and as friends, and their growing mutual affection for each other was sweet to read. (Side note: It’s always fun to see the characters I loved from the first two books show up in the other books in the series. Ben, Taylor, Kate – all back in book 3.)

Another main theme in Gone Without A Trace revolves around Livy and how she is affected after fatally shooting a young suspect who appeared to have a real weapon. Her career suffers, her faith suffers, and her relationships suffer. I think this is something that everyone faces at some point in their faith journey – what do we do when God “lets us down”? A tough question. A real-life, rubber-meets-the-road question. And I thought Patricia Bradley did a good job of very gently addressing the answer.

Riveting suspense, sweet romance, and real faith are all on the menu in this third book in the fantastic Logan Point series! You won’t want to put it down once you start so make sure you have plenty of time carved out to finish reading it. Highly recommend the whole series for readers who enjoy romantic suspense. Hoping a book 4 in Logan Point is on the horizon for this author!

*My Thoughts*

Suspense is not really my thing. I enjoy it every once in a while and am ADDICTED to every NCIS and NCIS spin off they have but it's not my favorite. I'm more of a Historical/Regency Romance kinda girl. I must say I enjoyed this one, more then I thought I would!

I read Patricia's "A Promise to Protect", the second in the Logan Point series and left not really sure what I thought. This one left no doubt in my mind that I loved it!

Patricia has a way of leaving a trail of bread crumbs that sends readers in circles trying to figure it out. A few simple sentences in a Bradley story can suddenly through yet another suspect in the mix until you don't know who the good guys are! I sometimes think of it as chasing your tail. Just when thought I nailed the guy in my mind, another guy would send me into a tailspin.

Throughout the story, I loved Alex and Livy's story. Patricia's characters can become very in-depth with more under the surface then you can imagine. I adore a story where the characters have to work through their inner turmoil to be together and this does not disappoint!

If you are worried about being lost in the midst of the series, don't be! I started with the second in the series and was not lost a bit!

Fabulous suspense and I, along with many others, hope this is not the end of the Logan Point series!

*My overall thoughts*

Gone Without a Trace by Patricia Bradley is the third book in the Logan Point series and even better then the second! Skin chilling suspense, in depth characters, and a fantastic plot make this one a winner!

Gone without a Trace is book three in the Logan Point series by Patricia Bradley. It is the first book I have read by Patricia. The book stood alone and I didn’t feel lost that I had not read the others.
Livy is a homicide detective that is dealing with some issues from a shooting incident. She takes some time off after feeling like she lets her partner down.
Alex is a private investigator. I found it hilarious that Livy looked down on him for his occupation until she got to know him. Very good chemistry and dialogue between Livy and Alex.
The mystery portion of the story was the 2 year disappearance of Livy’s cousin. She finds some similarities between a case Alex is working and her cousin.
I would recommend this book for a good mystery series. I look forward to reading more by Patricia.

I've come to expect an excellent book when I see Patricia Bradley as the author. I'm not the least bit disappointed with this, the third in the Logan Point series. Bradley's writing is very well done, well edited and intelligently written. The plot threads weave with near perfection through the book. I love the characters and how they interact. They are well fleshed out with flaws and depth, just like a real person. It is easy to connect with the characters and feel for them. Overall this is an excellent series and one I can easily recommend. I received an ARC through the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This is one of the best suspense books I've read in a long time. Patricia Bradley writes a gripping story, that had me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails until the very end. I was kept guessing right along with the characters, and I really loved that about the story. It was fast paced and exciting from beginning to end. I kindly received a copy of this book from Revell publishing via NG in return for an honest review.

This book was awesome! but first, let's discuss the plot:

Olivia 'Livy' Reynolds has a problem,
a big problem that as a detective could mean life and death.
She's traumatized by having shot a 17 year old a few months prior and she has a serious case of freezing when someone pulls a gun.
It was fine...
Until someone she loves got hurt because of it.
Ashamed. scared. hurt.
Livy is asked to take a break to try to find herself again and as she does, she stumbles on another case...
a case that may or may not be related to the disappearance of her beloved cousin.
Now more determined than ever, with God and gun at her side, and with an especially handsome Private Investigator,
Livy is determined to set things right and find the psychopath of Logan Point.

I really, really, really liked this story!

It is a CLEAN read which made it all the more awesome and the main man has made it into my book boyfriend list.

Seriously though, this was such a pleasure to read, I was engaged and once you get hooked in it, there's no way you can just walk away from it.

There also a lot of suspense! There's about 3 different stories going on in this book but I love how in the end they all intertwine and make the plot thicken!

Also, just...Alex Jennings! He's essentially everything young man ought to be! I love it.

The characters in here are not perfect, they're hurt and bear invisible and not so invisible wounds. Some have major daddy issues, while others deal with depression or anger...etc. It was great to read about characters that actually struggle with things and aren't the paragon of virtue you know?

"I can't unscramble egg...but maybe we can learn how to make an omelet together."

Also, the romance is very sweet! If not a bit quick but to be honest, i enjoyed it too much to nit-pick it.

well that's that! If you're a fan of christian-suspense-romance novels then this is the book for you!

Stay awesome!

Gone Without A Trace is the third book of Patricia Bradley’s Logan Point series, and I’ve been privileged to read all three. While each stands alone, the return of characters from previous books makes this story feel like coming home. And Logan Point is a wonderful place to call home, even if, like Livy Reynolds, you haven’t called it home for years.
Reeling from an incident on the job as a homicide detective, Livy heads to Logan Point for respite. Instead, she find herself tangled in an investigation that threatens everyone she loves—and her own life.
Alex Jennings has some secrets of his own, but as he works with Livy, his last-ditch effort to prove himself as a private investigator challenges him to his core.
Author Patricia Bradley’s writing is tight, suspenseful and yet full of heart. I loved her previous two books, and this one fulfilled all my expectations. Gone Without A Trace easily earns five stars.

#3 Logan Point

Another great suspense from Patricia Bradley. I'm really enjoying this series, although #1 is still my favourite, and getting to meet up again with familiar characters as well as meeting new ones. Lots of twists and turns again to keep you guessing who the kidnapper/killer is.

Looking forward now to reading #4 about Bailey when it comes out next year.

“Gone Without a Trace” is the second book I’ve read recently that featured a female detective and a PI who she immediately disliked. Fortunately the plots were anything but similar and I enjoyed both books.

The perpetrator in “Gone Without a Trace” was one messed up guy and the reader is given glimpses into his mind at various points during the book. I found it impossible to settle on the guilty party because every time I thought I had it figured out, a little more information was given about another character that directed suspicion in his direction also. I thought the author was genius in misleading the reader and the conclusion is both surprising and horrifying.

“Gone Without a Trace” is an exciting read from the beginning to its end. I thought the characters were strong and realistic and the suspense was broken by a developing romance (of course). I loved the way one disappearance was resolved earlier in the story and how that character helped solve the other case.

I highly recommend “Gone Without a Trace” to anyone who enjoys a good romantic suspense.

Series, this being the third and final book of the series.

Suspense/mystery is my favorite genre', and there is a lot of great books on the Christian market in that genre'. One of my favorite parts of a suspense/mystery novel is when there is a bad guy and I can't figure out who it is, and this book really kept me guessing as to who the kidnapper/killer was.

Bradley brought back several characters from the first two books, which is something I like. There were also some new characters which only added to the already roster of liable characters. The suspense was top notch, and the romance angle not overdone or mushy. I had no trouble getting into the book and read past my bedtime because I couldn't put it down.

The author can be proud of this latest effort of hers. It is a great conclusion to a great series, and is a standard to which other Christians suspense authors can look to.

I was excited to read this, and it did not disappoint. It was fun to return to Logan Point and to catch up with a few characters from previous books.

This book goes on a twist and turn journey to find a missing girl and ends up with a host of disappearances that need to be solved.

I really enjoyed this read and appreciated the characters and the story.

Since book one, I’ve always wondered what happened to Robyn. I was thrilled to see that question answered in Patricia Bradley’s newest novel in her Logan Point series. Gone without a Trace is full of danger, intrigue, and mystery, not to mention romance. Bradley’s characters breathe off the page and the plot kept me turning pages. Loved this story of hope, forgiveness, and second chances.

Oooh, I really liked this story! I didn't guess the bad guy (per usual) and we get a wrap up of a minor storyline from the first two books.

Robyn Martin disappeared about two years ago. Those that know and love her don't believe that she left of her own accord.

Samantha Jo Woodson goes missing and Alex Jennings is put on the case. His search leads him to other similar cases and he ends up in Logan Point. Livy, Robyn's cousin, is a cop on a leave of absence and she agrees to help Alex, hoping that it might turn up clues on her cousin.

They do find Robyn and then hatch a plan to catch the man who is kidnapping waitresses. He was a trucker who had been abused by his mother - a waitress- growing up and wanted to spare other kids the pain. So when he met a mother working as a waitress, he'd send her notes telling her to go home to her kid and if she didn't, he'd kidnap her and convince her to quit before letting her go. It's crazy and sad how broken pasts can lead to crime.

On another note, I think I finally figured out how everyone is related!!! I know, I know, I'm weird that this bugs me, but in case you were wondering too...

Kate Adams and Jeremy Reynolds are brother and sister.
Jeremy's girls are Olivia (Livy) and Jennifer.
Kate married Charlie and their girls are Robyn and Bailey.
Robyn married Chase Martin, who's sister is Taylor (now Sinclair).
Ben Logan must be the son of Jeremy Reynold's sister, because Olivia and Ben are cousins.

Ta-da!

Third installment (I thought this was the final of a trilogy, since the first three are on my Overdrive/Libby app from the library, but apparently there is a 4th one) in a good series set in fictional Logan Point Mississippi. We were introduced to Memphis detective Livy Reynolds in the first two books, and now she has some issues at work that cause her to take time off. She teams up with Texas PI Alex Jennings, when he comes to Logan Point searching for a lost young woman. The circumstances of the case are very similar to Livy's cousin Robin, who disappeared a couple of years ago and left behind a husband and child. This one got a big eerie for wimpy me, but still a very good read. I am hoping to read the fourth installment, depending on availability.

This was a very good story with plenty of suspense and mystery. Once again I liked how the romance was gradual and did not take away from the main story.

There were several suspects but I kept it between two and leaning heavy on one which I was right.
Some of the story was a little over the top. Main characters not being recognized due to changes in their appearance but I went along with it. I guess it could happen.

All of the characters were well liked and I always love when children are a part of the story. Abby was great.

I recommend this book however I strongly recommend starting with book one. Enjoy!!

Good read

While Livvy is trying to recover from shooting and killing a young thief as he was escaping from a robbery, she decides to help a private eye investigate the disappearance of a young waitress. The waitress worked at the same restaurant as her cousin Robyn, who disappeared over two years ago. Was there a connection. We’re the 2 young women still alive? All this leads to a suspenseful ending.

Really enjoying this series. The writer does a good job of setting up the story line. However, in this book, it may have been a little overdone. Good beginning; good ending, but the middle ran a little slow with too much detail that really added nothing to the story. One more to go in this series. Looking forward to it
