This book covers a subject that is a huge hot button for Christians everywhere. Nearly every church that preaches Jesus as Lord will tell you that He came to set people free from sin. However, do we really want to get into issues? Does anyone really want to hear about demonic oppression in the lives of people who go to church every week? Can we admit that there are people who sit in church pews every week, hurting, in need of change that only comes from Jesus? If those issues make you cringe, then you will probably not be a fan of this book!
However, for those that are seeking out freedom from bondage or deliverance in their lives in any area, I highly recommend Rabbi Schneider's book on deliverance. His passion for seeing people set free from bondage really shines through in every chapter. I love the stories that he offers from years of experience in ministering to others, his insight from studying Scripture, as well as lessons learned by the Holy Spirit through prayer and seeking God.
This book is also not a creepy, flaky, touchy-feely, if you feel God then He's there kinda book. There aren't any fireworks or dramatizations included in the pages. The insights presented by Rabbi Schneider are rooted and grounded in Scripture, and they all point back to individuals keeping their lives focused on Jesus.
The truth is, the week that I received this volume from Chosen Books, I was in the middle of a serious situation in my own life. After reading the first section of this book, I was personally ministered to and encouraged about an area I was praying about. I would highly recommend this book to any Bible believing Christian who is praying through any kind of issue at the moment. It would also be helpful for anyone involved in the ministry in any kind of teaching capacity. My pastor read it and took notes!
