I skipped some chapters as I am preparing only for hill walking leadership. But has a lot of useful information to keep in mind while in the mountains.

*****
Well written and covers most of the skills necessary to walk around the mountains. The chapters are well structured and pictures very helpful. Some sections about using GPS are outdated on the third edition as it was published about a decade back.
