Deity features a strong, dominatrix Circe who is hired by submissive mafioso with a secret, Gio. She is the top earner in Inferno, the underbelly of the D'Angelo family sex club for premium VIP members. The book starts out with a bang and doesn't take the foot off the gas throughout the entire story. She is reluctant but he is desperate for her affections and wants to take things to a deeper level than she can handle emotionally and I love seeing the internal conflict in the FMC and not the standard grumpy MMC who can't express his emotions. She is able to give him things that no woman ever has and it has him hooked on her and he moves heaven and earth to convince her of the connection she knows is already there. He quite literally worships the ground she walks on. Lots of dom/sub action and the spice is arguably the most devious in the entire series so far. R. Collins continues to push the boundaries of dark romance in the best ways imaginable. Be ready for backdoor, group activities, CNC, voyeurism/exhibitionism, and check your triggers because this story is a no holds barred journey that I couldn't get enough of.
