I both like and dislike these stories..the guys are just to much..a bunch of men getting in each others business all the time leaving little to no privacy would make me run screaming for the hills no matter how hot they where..
and cut-offs on a man... this is what I see
it's just NOT sexy..either he looks like an idiot or he's gay
The bare chest and open jeans I can live with
I like the chemistry between the characters but they are just to perfect an butting in all the time... I'm not a big angst lover but a few flaws don't hurt and while the ust was pretty good the overall steam factor was mediocree
These were easy reading novellas and quite enjoyable. They were all formulaic and the premise was the same. Boy meets girl, boy wants girl, girl wants boy but neither want anything permanent. Love blossoms. Not terribly complicated but fine for an afternoon read.
I didn't find myself loving any of the characters. Don't get me wrong....they were all very likable but with such similar characters it became very repetitive.

And they make love, and come up with a plan to ‘flush’ out her tormentor… and then accidently, when Casey retrieved her music tapes (not country western) so that they could listen to ‘real music’, she finds a tape, where her ex-fiance is talking with 2 men, contracting with them to kill her father and to then to kill her, so that he would inherit all of the money…. What the thugs were looking for.
They spring the trap, and when her ex-fiance sends the thugs in the middle of the night, the brothers are ready… though Honey was supposed to stay in basement with Gabe and Casey, she can’t see the others risking for her, so she joins in the fray… and gets hit in the face, and Sawyer goes berserker, and all is well. And they finally are able to exchange words of love, and plans to marry.

Characters: Gabe Kasper – the least ‘focused’ of the brothers. The baby – his father had an uphill battle getting mom to accept his courtship, and he shamelessly used the other 3 brothers to get on her good side – they’ve been married 24 years, and retired to Florida. The women love him, he loves all women – young and old… He loves the water… Story begins with him lounging on a dock over the lake, while 3 women giggle and swoon over him…. : ) He’s handy – and helps out wherever needed, but in a relaxed, unstructured way… He helped Morgan build his house, he mows lawns, he fixes the restaurant’s plumbing, he can tune up boats and cars.. etc. His income is close to his doctor brother’s.
Elizabeth ‘Lizzy’ Parks- at 12, she and her mother were run off the road by a truck, her mother trapped in the car while Lizzy thrown free… and she sat by the road side, not knowing what to do… and the news and the doctors made it out that the traumatized little girl let her mother die by doing nothing. Her father, though missed his wife, did his best by his daughter, but she never quite fit in with the others. She is red haired, freckled body… and thinks she’s ugly, and dresses in shapeless, formal clothing. For her master’s thesis she is studying what makes a hero… and comes across a news piece of Gabe, and how he rescued a mother and 2 children in the lake, with a boat without driver ‘circling’ them (boat’s driver drunk, and fell overboard)… She wants to figure out what makes some a hero and not others, and to help the nonheros.
Summary: Gabe doesn’t understand Lizzy… but she is persistent. He refuses to let her interview him, but when she starts talking to everyone else, he makes a deal with her… he thinks she needs to loosen up, so if she goes swimming in the lake with him, he’ll answer one question…
And her shyness, her lack of confidence, her innocence her gorgeous body in a swim suit, her turning him down but then bit by bit enjoying his touch, and he becomes overwhelmed with desire for her… He agrees to answer a question for a kiss… he takes her to a drive-in movie and teaches her about sexual 1st, 2nd, and 3rd base… and for the month she’s on vacation and finishing her thesis, they are together – she becomes embroiled in his family and in his life. She finds a sense of confidence… Gabe helps her to forgive her 12 year old self… She tells him he loves her, but he doesn’t answer it back… and she accepts with the intention of enjoying their time … but as her time to leave comes near, Gabe realizes he wants her… and Morgan and Sawyer encourage him to tell her how he completely feels… and to formalize his business… and he tells her he loves her, and wants her to come back to him… ahhhh just the words she wanted to hear…

Theme: love, obligations, family
Characters: Jordan Sommerville – a few years have passed – 3 married brothers, one new niece (Misty) and another on the way (Honey)… # 3 brother - his father was only married to mom for 5 years… at first happy, but when he lost his job, he started drinking and she divorced him. Georgia Barnes – mother of 2 young children, moved them and her mother to Kentucky to get away from her vindictive in-laws – who drove her husband away from her and the kids, and threatened to take her children. They put on a downpayment on a house with the money dad left mom. She got pregnant and married at 16… she loved dancing… and the only job she can find that makes any money is by working waitress at a sleezy bar (next county over) and dancing on the weekend. Summary: Jordan and a few others go to the bar to ask the owner to cut off people who are drinking too much, (and causing trouble in their dry county)… and they step in just as Georgia begins her very sexual and energetic dance… Jordan is immediately drawn to her… and when 2 men grab her legs, he steps in and a bar fight ensues. And his brother is sent for to take him and Georgia to jail…
And there is incredible attraction between them… and he finds out she is a mother, and when they get to her home, her mother is ill so Morgan and Jordan step in to care for her, the kids, and mother… getting mother to the hospital… and 18 year old Casey comes to deliver a change of clothes for her, and Jordan takes her and the children home… and he realizes that he can’t leave her…
And with bits of persuasion from all the family, Jordan worms his way into her life… and Georgia is overwhelmed with all of the support – foot rubs, repairs to her home, her kids being accepted with the rest of the gang… but still they haven’t made love. And Jordan, looking for options for Georgia, comes up with the idea that she could teach dance… and he buys a warehouse for her, just as the bar she’s working at shuts down… and the brothers counsel him to give it up, to tell her how he feels – and of course she does… and his mom and stepdad arrange a grandkid sleepover in the living room, and he gets to spend the night with her… and his fantasy, for her to ride him and move like she does on the dance floor. … and she accepts the warehouse, and accepts his proposal… and he moves permanently into her house. Ahhh

I was very impressed with Lori's writing because it gave off tiny vibes of Linda Howard but obviously, the erotica part of the book could never be like Howard's because she's the master. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it immensely. Gabe, Sawyer and Morgan all were amazing but my favourite has to be Gabe's story. Ehk!❤️❤️
This bundle brings all the brothers together in this sexy as hell box set. The Buckhorn men as so damn sexy, sweet (yes even Morgan) you'll fall for them in a minute.
As always Lori Foster has a great series, read this one a few times. Sawyer my favorite ( sexy as hell doctor) but Morgan although tough as nails ( or thinks he is) is lovable too. Love the closeness of family with all brothers and of course Sawyers son Casey! Who wouldn't love a house full of men (haha). Both Sawyer and Morgan love being single but know with their hometown reputations their not aloud to cut loose but when Honey breaks down Sawyers fence and Sawyers defenses he can't help but fall for this beautiful strong women. Then in comes Misty Honey's sister and when she comes to visit Morgan can't help but strong arm her into loving him. Sawyer is sweet, sexy as hell and romantic and smitten, Morgan is so hot for Misty, he can't get enough, I loved the part where Morgans Naked in the kitchen and Honey makes him dress...too funny.
For both Honey and Misty the men break down their defenses and builds them back up, even though all claim to love being bachelors they get a case of the love bug. Another great series to follow. Can't wait for Casey's story
Gabe/Jordan although liked Sawyer and Morgan in buckhorn beginnings more, this sequel is good. Very sexy men, courageous women. Fun and loving family. Great read but wasn't as good as the first book. Even though Jordan and Gabe sexy as all their brothers it wasn't as sexy a story, they both felt almost pushed through to get their happily ever after. Gabe and Jordan are both well sought out bachelors but once they catch their ideal women their as lost as their brothers. It just felt too quick and rushed I pared to Sawyer (my fav) and Morgan (so sexy)
This group of novella's encompass a family of gorgeous men that are so unique. Beside total hunks they have a strong sense of community, love, compassion for the weaker sex and animals. What is there not to like. Each brother is a bachelor. I could not say which brother is my favorite or which story was my favorite but the first story with Sawyer and Honey was adorable and then the next story with Morgan and Misty was just so sweet. The love they find goes beyond the normal love situation. Then youngest brother Gabe and his sweetheart, Red was a love story about a prim woman and a wild, beyond gorgeous man. He wrestled to maintain his freedom but as each story maintains once love has you there is nothing a man can do. Red is so sweet and goes from plain and prim to slowly allowing herself to be claimed by this sexy hunk. And finally the story of Jordan and Georgia was so funny and very sexy.
The stories of each brother and their fall from bachelorhood are heartwarming and erotic and humorous. As I read each short story it taught me how men perceive things especially after living solely among their own sex. They lack restrain when talking with their women and just let it all hang out. So instead of easing into the 'I want you' statement it comes out as 'I am so dam hard for you'. This whole book is so funny you cannot wait to get to the next page.
Loved this book and found all my pleasures within the confines of these pages, love, romance, sexy men, beautiful women, humor and erotic language/scenes. I recommend this book to all.
I love Lori Foster!!! I love her alpha male characters, and how when they fall head over heals for a woman nothing in the world matters to them but the girl. I have been having trouble with a lot of the female characters in romance novels today. They seem to always take backseat to the male characters. This bundle proves different. All of the females in the bundle are strong, witty, and have a personality that just grabs you. The stories and characters were awesome, therefore I gave it a solid 5 stars. Some stories are more catching than others but I am rating as a bundle.
Lori Foster tells delightful stories of love. Yes, she does follow the "standard" romance plot lines, but does so in a very delightful and gentle way. And skillfully prepares the reader for the next book in the series without giving all away while provoking interest in seeing what the next book will bring.
This family had me from the first word. They are four GORGEOUS FUNNY MEN! Each book is about them and at the same time you keep up with the family. That is a complete winner for me. Thank you Lori Foster. Sawyer, Morgan, Jordan and Gage deserved every thing they got.
This was a wonderful collection of stories about strong, honorable men and the wonderful women they fall in love with! I love how lori always adds animal characters to her stories, it so enhances them for me, and the collection of critters in these stories is wonderful as always. You can check out my reviews for each book here on goodreads!
I enjoyed reading it... those 4 brothers are almost perfect. Handsome and ego-less, caring and really have good values. I love the kind of brotherhood they share... and of course the Buckhorn legacy too... I just love the way they were raised and how they raised Casey... How can one not fall in love with these brothers from Buckhorn.
I quit reading halfway through "Sawyer." I just couldn't take anymore discussion of "delicate," "tiny," and "feminine" the female lead was. (She's named Honey. Gag.) I was creeped out by Dr. Rapist Sawyer getting all hot and bothered looking an unconscious victim of a car accident. Kinda ruined the whole romance scenario for me.
I love how old fashioned this family is - they see someone in need and they reach right out to help without thinking about it. It makes me miss the old days. Each of the brothers are very sexy in their own way and I enjoyed reading about each one fall - and fall hard - for the love bug!
Loved all four of these books and it was nice to have them all in one package. Each story was good on it's own. Character development was good. Even though all four guys and their respective women are very different, they seemed to fit nicely together.
Lori Foster has an easy writing style that I enjoy. All in all an entertaining read that keeps you into the book. Although it didn't keep me up at night reading. It was a steady flow of good story telling.
