I love these kind of books that you can literary go easily through its pages, over a cup of coffee.
yet you find extra useful and filled with so many lessons that you can't help but picking up your not book and write things you learnt down.
This book was such an easy read, yet it will always be one of the books that I will go back to every now and then to get an advice on life and love.
The lessons that are laid out in this book feels like having a one on one conversation with people that are wise.
truly enjoyable and easy to read.
I recommend reading this book and gifting it to people you care about.

Don't judge book by its cover! Well, awalnya saya ga tertarik untuk membeli buku ini. Kenapa? Karena covernya, ga begitu menarik buat saya and also it's shocking-pink, sedikit mengganggu mata saya. But then, my friend showed me the inside. Unlike what I was thinking. This book is awesome. Inspiratif. Ditulis sesederhana mungkin dengan ilustrasi yang benar-benar 'kiewt'. Am going to re-read this book.

Basically, this book contains some motivating quotes, which already have been said for hundredth times in facebook/twitter/tumblr/internet, with some pretty pictures here and there. The quotes are not interesting. I just thought that they're not that original. I've heard from different source about how good deeds bring you good result or you need to accept reality or how hard climbing the mountain is and blah blah blah. It's just boring to read it all over again in this book (which I paid! I could read those motivating thoughts for free in tumblr or facebook).

The pictures, however, are really great. And so are the composition and the colour. They're cute, fun, and easy on the eye. For me, they're the selling point of this book. So, kudos to the author and the illustrator for being able to produce a pretty book like this.

But that's just it, though. Pretty picture. No deep lines or whatever.

It was something I couldn't put down because it was good nonetheless. Cute illustration & a very inspirational book. I have seen similar books but not nearly as pretty. Every page of this book is uplifting and very pleasing to look at. Also, you can read it every morning for an extras of happy boost! I absolutely loved it.

Buku kecil yang nyaring sekali, terutama dengan sampul pink ngejreng yang pastinya menarik perhatian. Isinya sih kutipan-kutipan tentang keseharian dalam hidup kita yang selayaknya kita hargai dan syukuri. Yang bikin menarik yaitu:

1. Penulis menggunakan bahasa Inggris dengan kosakata yang ternyata sangat mudah dicerna. Ada sesuatu dalam bahasa Inggris yang menjadikannya lebih "catchy" dalam menyampaikan kalimat-kalimat motivatif.

2. Ilustrasi dan tata letak serta permainan warna yang memang girlish sekali.

Cocok untuk dibaca di hari ketika hati sedang lelah atau down. Buku ini terutama mengingatkan saya untuk menjadi orang baik dan orang yang banyak bersyukur. Mari temukan cara--sekecil dan sesederhana apa pun--untuk merayakan setiap hari yang kita jalani.

Got this book as a gift on 2015. 2021 just got time to read it 😂 it is a very light read that you can finish it in one sitting. Kinda inspring. There's a lot that you can relate to. The illustrations so cute! It also got 2 page stickers that I dont know if I will ever use. Because its so cute and I just dont know where to put em.

Setelah nangkring di rak wishlist cukup lama, akhirnya baca juga buku populer ini. Nggak nyangka ternyata buku ini ada di bookfair, padahal nyarinya di toko buku agak susah, hihi.

Tergolong buku self help atau self improvement, buku ini pas buat kamu yang ingin terinspirasi atau termotivasi lewat kata-kata yang nggak begitu panjang. Beberapa quotes yang ada di dalamnya mudah dimengerti (walaupun pakai bahasa Inggris) dan benar-benar nancep di hati (buatku pribadi sih). Bahkan rasanya buku ini tuh pengen aku bawa ke mana pun aku pergi.

Pas banget dibaca ketika kamu feeling down atau ragu tentang apa yang kamu lakukan bener nggak. Ilustrasinya yang lucu dan imut nggak bikin mata jengah. Selain itu, ada bonus beberapa sticker di halaman belakang, isinya beberapa quotes dan ilustrasi imut. Asyik, kan?

"Jadi kenapa empat bintang fem? Kok nggak lima bintang?"
Menurutku ada beberapa quotes yang maknanya diulang di beberapa halaman. Selain itu, bukunya kurang tebeeel :p Dan harganya yang menurutku agak overpriced (bikin bolong kantong #theperksofbeingastudent :p)

Kurasa itu saja review pendek dariku. Ditunggu buat Kak Diana Rikasari untuk karya-karya berikutnya :)

Shockingly, bukunya (ternyata) kecil dan tipis. Buku ini lebih seperti kumpulan quotes yang dihias ilustrasi-ilustrasi cantik. Beberapa diantaranya cukup memotivasi dan menyadarkan. Tapi sayangnya, bagi saya 88 terlalu sedikit. Bacanya kilat, beberapa menit udah beres. Jadi quotesnya kurang merasuk ke dalam sukma *halah* :p

Sorry I have to compare, tapi untuk buku sejenis, Staying Strong-nya Demi Lovato (yang 365 quotes) agak lebih helpful.. Tapi #88lovelife unggul dengan visualisasinya yang kreatif.

And, oh. You will get the stickers too, by the way. Its cute ;)

buku yang sangat bagus dan menyenangkan untuk dibaca. memang bukan buku yang penuh tulisan panjang, namun kutipan kutipan inspiratif Diana Rikasari sangat menarik untuk dibaca. ilustrasi cantik dari Dinda Puspitasari menjadikan buku ini sebagai buku yang paling bagus untuk properti foto hihihi. buku yang baik sebagai hadiah, karena cantik. dan apabila kamu sempat sejenak mendalami apa yang dituliskan, buku ini menjadi food for thought yang sangat sangat baik. tidak menyesal sudah membelinya. aku berencana membelikan buku ini untuk orang spesial di cetakan ketiganya awal tahun baru nanti :))

It’s kind of book that you can read it all over again without even have to spare time. The book itself circulates issues regarding self-esteem, confidence, courage, being kind and most importantly how to live our life to the fullest. I will definitely go back to it when I feel like I lose or doubt my decision, as if the book (and the author indirectly) gives you a boost of support in the form of words. And as the author’s note, I enjoy myself reading it slowly, while also admiring the lively and colourful illustration.

However, I didn’t quite sure whether it is part of motivational or self-help book (as the author put “thoughts” on the title?), for the diction is readable, light and daily-related, so it seems like giving you a daily motivational power for straightly 88 days (if you want to read one page per day), but to a greater extend, some quotes let the reader thinks how important to swift your perspective on something greater, and practically it takes time (e.g. the one which taught us to not always listen the audience, but believe in ourselves).

All in all, 88 Love Life is a light reading material I enjoyed while I’m home after a hectic long day. While I’m going through pages, it is as if the book tries to communicate with me, with all those positive words I could remember easily and apply them on my daily life. Great!

Saya akui buku ini berbeda dengan buku kumpulan kutipan atau kata kata lainnya yang beredar. Buku ini memiliki ilustrasi yang bagus tapi tetap enak dipandang. Menggunakan bahasa inggris sehingga dapat sekaligus meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa inggris. Kata kata motivasi yang cukup sederhana tapi memiliki makna yang cukup mengena di hati. Pokoknya saya suka deh❤️ hehe

For every lovers of quote books, this should definitely be on your shelve. It is enlightening to have a quote book written by a fashion blogger. Hence, not only the author gives her perspectives on life, she also shares her personal thoughts on the world of fashion (the idea and concept of it). So, her thoughts were very refreshing. It has stickers in it too XD! I've read the first and the second volume, I'm definitely getting the third volume !

This book is full of inspiring and positive quotes/short stories indeed, but they are quite basic that you cand find them anywhere such as tumblr or pinterest. It has a really cute visual like colors, illustrations, and compositions. I think this book is good for anyone with aesthetic purpose, if you need some self-help or deeper motivational things for love and life I myself do not think it will be the right choice. You will get cute stickers as well at the last pages of the book! :)

88 Love Life is a compilation of the author's thoughts on love and life in the forms of notes and quotations with oh-so-pretty illustrations. It's a light reading that can be read anytime and anywhere, and I guess, even in any situation. Such a happy, motivating, positive little book!

I would say that if you like to read motivation quotes with beautiful graphic design go for this book. But if you think that the price is too expensive for book with motivation quotes with beautiful graphic design, do not buy this book. Well, for me I never regret any books that I'd bought because I always obsessed of having my own library room. LOL

It was motivational and pleasing to look at. Plus, it was incredibly easy to read as well.
I finished it in one sitting.

Loved the illustrations but the writing, not so much.
An aesthetically pleasing book nonetheless.

I got this book as a birthday present, but I actually wanted it like for several times I wanna bought it. This book is good for building up our trust to ourself. At first, I thought it was about quotes book. And then I realised that the author wanted to share her stories of life and get some lessons from it. It was too much pictures and illustrations for me, I like it better with more narration.
