Grandma's bedtime story: Christi the Journey

Rate this book
Christi’s new high school is beautiful, a majestic, mysterious castle on a hill full of adventures for her and her best friends. But, on her first day of her freshman year, two incredible surprises turn Christi’s world on its head: she meets Damian, who may just be the love of her life, and she and Damian are sent through a portal to another planet.
Separated upon arrival, the two learn very quickly that this world is very, very different from their own. Home to many magical creatures absolutely beyond description, Damian and Christi are separated and forced to learn the ways of a magical society, all while trying their best to find their way back where they came from. Yet, when Christi learns of a great evil, threatening the livelihoods of her new friends, she realizes she may not be able to escape this planet without having a meaningful impact upon it.
Christi’s Journey is the story of growing up and realizing the world is so much bigger than you ever thought it could be. Christi herself is a testament to the importance of unconditional love, kindness, and good nature towards others. Will this compassion be enough to save the whole planet from darkness? Will Christi’s new friends make it out unscathed? And when it’s all said and done, will Damian and Christi ever find each other again? Is getting back home a possibility at all?

It was a difficult read, (my English vocabulary is not that big), but good for enhancing my English. I missed more backstory around Damian.. I loved the magic in the book. And i think the little animals like for example the “onan” are very original! I managed to get my book signed, very gratefull for that. Thank you S. Van Loon. :)
