Violet Hamers knew from an early age that writing was something she always wanted to do. Growing up, her time was divided between writing stories and taking part in theatrical plays, that she used to perform exclusively for her family and friends.

Even though being an author is not a simple task, her dream of becoming one has finally come true as she is currently writing Regency novels...romances her readers will love!
Follow Violet into a world of romance and fairytale, of passion and intrigue, and live unforgettable happy-ever-afters along with her protagonists that she guarantees you will remember forever.
A girl is sold at a brothel auction by her horrible Father. Luckily the hero is there and is a friend of her brother-in-law and he bids for her and he marries her. But then he takes off on their wedding day and stayed away for a year. When he comes back, he hears she's been going to some haughty parties, and he rescues her. She wasn't doing anything their except watching.over a friend but he doesn't know that. They get to.know each.other and it was a nice story. Her father and ex fiancee stir up.trouble but the hero protects her. It was safe too. No cheating. Extra point for that!
I liked that the author gave dual POV so that you knew what both H and h were thinking and feeling. I also enjoyed the story, even if it might have been a little bit far fetched to believe some of the scenarios in the story but not enough that it takes away from the story. The sex was a little spicy but I, honestly, expected it to be a little spicier. Overall, it was a good book and I would recommend.
I enjoyed this steamy story. It is interesting but is violent in parts. There are quite a lot of typing errors and they did spoil the story for me a little. Lady Amelia was being sold by her father. At the auction, she was rescued by Dominic, who was a friend. To protect Amelia, Dominic asked her to marry him. Their marriage was difficult because Dominic did not want to be close to Amelia. However, Amelia worked hard to soften his ideas. Her father was a particularly nasty man and he was trying to arrange for his other daughters to be sold as well. Will Dominic be able to stop him? Will Dominic be able to keep Amelia safe? Will Amelia and Dominic finally be able to have a normal married life?
I did enjoy the book but I have to say that I found the number of grammatical errors, word omissions & duplicate phrasing to be both disconcerting and annoying, more annoying than anything else. I’m not sure whether it’s Ms. Hamers or the publisher (Cobalt Fairy) or both who are at fault here. But clearly there needs to be more thorough editing before releasing a book to the public. An error or two, I can understand. But the sheer volume of mistakes isn’t saying much about your intent to release a quality publication.
It seems to me that if you can crank a book out every month (as you did in 2020, 2021 & 2022), you could devote a day or so to rereading each book to identify and correct errors - and only then send it for publication. I just consider this laziness.
Wow! Did I ever love this book! Violet Hamers is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. This book was so good. I loved the two characters and their interesting story. I actually cried at one point in the story. The tension and attraction between these two characters was very well developed and the building tension made the book hard to put down. I love the steam this author puts in her books. I intend to read everything this author has written, that’s how good her stories are. Don’t quit writing Violet!!
A. Story of sometimes fathers are not protectors, they are the vileness! Because Amelia is in her third season, with no prospects of a suitor, so he takes to a brothal and sells her like the harlots. Only she’s bought by a Duke, Dominic, who Mary’s her and leave immediately after taking her to his country estate , and is gone a year. His return begins a very different story, but is very sensual!
Amelia is saved from the auction block by Dominic. To save her reputation he marries her only to leave her for a year. He returns to confront the rumors about Amelia and finds that she is no longer the shrinking violet he left. Amelia discovers she loves Dominic just as he is but can he love her back? Heat level scorching. Loved the chemistry between these characters! Couldn't put it down!
This story had a good plot and rather unique characters. There was a lot of bickering between characters, but not vicious barbs. This book had detailed sexual scenes. The biggest drawback was the egregious number of typos and missing words in the text. A good proofing and corrections are needed.
Violet takes us back to the devil's masquerade and the group of friends that go there Dominic recognises Amelia and comes to her aid and changes his life for the better and brings about a NEW for not just them but also Amelia sisters
Amelia and Dominic are the talk of the town….but for all the wrong reasons! Caught up in scandals it seems they won’t ever be able to mingle with the Tom without being the talk of the town!! Great ready with wonderful characters. Highly recommend this read.
I loved it!!!!!😊 Violet Hamers, you are one of my favorite authors! I loved all your books 📕. I have my favorite authors here on kindle, you are one of them, Don’t Stop writing ✍️ ☺️
A story of times when women were not allowed to even think for themselves, which is when women started fighting back. It was interesting to see it through their eyes and I wanted to say to them just ignore them.
