I was raised by the enemy—built to kill, taught to lie, and trained to hide the monster I might be. But Raylen sees through it all. She shines light into my shadows, hears the truths I won’t say. And if this mission exposes the blood I fear is in my veins... She'll be the only thing that can guide me out of the dark.
I buried my past, along with the man who taught me fear. No one knows what I did. No one can. But Moe watches me like he already knows. He wasn’t supposed to matter--just a friend, just a fling--but now he’s the only one who doesn’t make me flinch. And if he finds out the truth… He won’t run... I fear he'll pull me deeper into the darkness I’m starting to crave.
This is book three in the interconnected standalone series Chaotic Love. Although reading the previous books is not necessary, it's highly recommended to better understand all the characters and ensure you have the best chance of getting the full picture. Hide From Me is a secret military society romance that explores darker topics, contains explicit content, and includes profanity. Recommended for mature readers only.
Loved this book! The chemistry between Moe and Raylan will make your heart pound. The adrenaline you get from reading and learning what Moe does and how he acts to "Sunshine" is electric. I loved how the MMC is willing to be what his Sunshine needs and doesn't force her. Even after finding out her secret! Amazing book!
Loved it! I was so intrigued on where the story was going and diving into the characters pasts and what made them the way they are. I laughed, I swooned, I gasped…it was wonderful! Definitely recommend!
I simply cannot rate this book less than 5 stars, because Moe deserves all of the stars in the world. I don’t know that there’s a single man on this earth (or the fictional one) that could ever be as much of a walking green flag as him. A literal angel.😭🪽🖤
I received this book as an ARC from the author and Book Funnel and I read this on my kindle.
OMG. What a book. @trinsavage you have done it again. When I finished Burn for Me, I just had to read another book from the author, so I’m so glad I applied for the ARC because my goodness what a book! As my first ever ARC, I am so glad it was this one, as the author knocked it out of the park once more and DELIVERED ART.
I love how this books are interconnected, it’s just makes the story even better and feels more realistic.
And I love how quick the characters meet and how Moe describes Raylen (well who I assume is Raylen), how “She's stunning, like the sound of thunder rolling over waves. No, she's beautiful like raindrops on wilted petals.” My goodness that description is gorgeous and just reallly shows how Moe fell HARD.
The story is about Moe, the adopted brother of Caspain (also known as Tide) who story can be seen in the book Sink with Me. I highly recommend reading the Sink with Me and Burn with Me since these books are interconnected, since Burn with Me involved Sam and Jasmine, who are mentioned in Sink with Me, the first book.
The synopsis is as follows:
He craves her light. She fears his darkness.
To me, it’s a story of he fell first and he fell HARD. It was such a beautifully written story and I’m so happy that the author @trinsavage has continued the story, from Sink with Me to Hide from Me. I hope she writes more stories like this, as I will always be reading it and I will always give it five stars!! She does not disappoint and since I am a huge Call of Duty girlie who loves the video games, I’m so happy I found this author. There wasn’t a lot of books that merge Call of Duty and literature unless it was fan-fiction and I just wanted something else to read other than fan-fiction. So when i found this author and read the synopsis of her first book, I was sold and I just knew her book was going to be on my five star list. So thank you @trinsavage for writing this magnificent piece of art that is your book and I look forward for any future books in the series!
I try not to play favourites when it comes to couples in interconnected series but when it comes to Moe and Raylen, they took my heart and ran.
I’ve loved the Chaotic Love series by Trin Savage but Hide From Me took it to a whole other level. The third book in this series follows Moe, Caspian’s younger brother who is desperate for answers regarding his biological father and Raylen, a cafe waitress that instantly captured Moe’s attention but keeps her walls up to hide her darkest secret.
They way these two grew throughout the book was done in such a beautiful way, Raylen was hesitant to trust Moe and Moe just wanted to show Raylen that she deserved the world. He slowly brought her walls down, brick by brick and the vulnerability that both of them showed was so sweet, I was rooting for them from the get go.
As the book progressed, we were shown just how much Moe struggles with his need to know his biological father’s identity and fearing that deep down, he’s a monster just like the maternal side of his lineage. He’s a beautifully written character that has so many sides to him, you can understand why he does what he does. From appearing as a sweet and innocent younger brother in book one, to an absolute badass out in the wider world as he takes on more responsibility for Seaborn.
There were times I wanted to step in and tell Raylen to let Moe in, but I absolutely understand her hesitancy and her need for control in their relationship as it grows from a casual fling, into something more serious. Even though it terrifies her, she relents and lets herself enjoy the idea of Moe being more than just a friend with benefits. My heart bled for Raylen when her big secret was revealed, to know why she is the way she is when it comes to relationships and I couldn’t think of anyone better for her than Moe.
The way the last few chapters of the book had me feeling every emotion under the sun was insane. Trin absolutely knows how to give gut punches with her writing when she wants to and boy, does it hurt. But it’s what makes this story an absolute masterpiece to read, I didn’t want it to end and I was glued to my kindle as I finished.
Thank you Trin for allowing me to read an early release of Hide From Me. The characters and world you’ve built within the Chaotic Love series is one I will happily dive into as often as I can.
Ok, YUP! Loved it. One of the things I love about this author (I've mentioned it in a previous review) is that she has a really cool way of showing how characters are perceived differently when you're reading from their point of view compared to reading a different character's point of view. It's complex and interesting. People are never 100% what they seem on the surface and can also be different depending on who they are around, not maliciously just naturally. Her writing really makes that shine.
Seeing the growth in Moe as a character between the three books was really great! He felt like the sweet, younger brother previously. Sometimes like he was just too innocent for the faction world he lives in. But this book shows some of what he has gone through physically and emotionally over time and the new maturity he's balancing with his previous relationship with his family. Moe's interactions with Raylen were exciting. I really enjoyed seeing him straddle the line of being more feral and dominating versus making sure to respect her comfort levels and consistently check in with her.
Raylen was a great character too. She had so much going on in her life and seeing her struggle to figure out what it was she really wanted/needed whether physically or emotionally was relatable. Logic vs desire vs emotion...they don't always agree. It was also nice to see a true civilian react to the faction reality. It was messy, complicated, dramatic...it made it feel real.
We got some really cool answers to some previous questions and I totally hope we explore those more! Of course, we were also given lots of new questions. I can't wait to see more of this chaotic world!
Now excuse me while I go sulk about the reality of how long it takes to write a book. I need the next one....
Trin Savage does it again! After DEVOURING books 1 & 2 (and drooling over Sam), I knew I had to grab Hide From Me as soon as possible. I was so thankful and excited to be allowed into Trin's ARC community. I received this book as an ARC from the author and Book Funnel and I read this on my kindle.
Trin does amazing when it comes to giving us little "peeks" of the two former couples and how they are progressing in life. I love when authors do this and Trin does it well. So make sure to read the first two books in the series before this one (trust me, you WON'T regret it).
-"Hey There, Monster"- Moe is very different from Tide and Sam but I loved him as a MMC. Now granted, Sam still owns my heart but Moe was really trying. He is struggling with his own demons and truly trying to find himself. We love a good character development moment and Moe truly delivers. He is obsessed with his "Sunshine" and never gives up even though our FMC keeps trying to push him away.
-"Hey There, Sunshine"- Now for our FMC... She was okay. I'm being honest here; it was hard for me to like her. Now is that because Moe is a little cutie pie and I love him so I expected the same from her instantly? Most likely but girlie pop needed "space" and "time to grow into herself after a bad relationship". I get it girl. She does go through a lot of character growth (mostly at the end of the story) and becomes a character I enjoy. It was just hard to connect with her and enjoy her POVs. Now this may be a "me" problem since I like more unhinged, strong FMCs (like Jasmine in Book 2 LOL)
-"I was Following My Light Home"- Hide from Me is amazing; Trin is amazing... I will read everything she puts out because she writes the type of men I love and she writes WELL. This storyline is so enjoyable and different from anything I have read before. (This is my first review on Goodreads but I wanted to give Trin what she deserves by writing this. Her books are amazing.)
Moe “monster” “Mr.Creeper” whatever you want to call him is top tier. He’s been through so much pain and trauma that he feels like he will be in the darkness forever until he meets “sunshine” aka Raylen the girl that calms the noise and shines her light to kill the chaos.
Hide From Me is filled with rawness, passion, possessiveness, trauma, hidden past, secret identity, grumpy x sunshine vibes. It is so well written, @trinsavage.author draws you into these characters with the way she writes them.
I absolutely loved this story and I’m so glad it came out to be a happy ending because I was starting to worry it wasn’t going to be. I don’t know what book will come next but Laura x King would be a hell of a story 🤞🏻
Thank you to the author for allowing me to read the ARC of Hide From Me.
“My little ray of sunshine might be right because I fully intend to become the monster lurking under her bed”.
“I expect to see ten charges by noon,” I grin against her hair. “Wreck my bank account, baby. Make it worth it. I wanna know you’re out there living your best life on my dime.”
“Maybe it helps me too. Because when you’re on top of me—when you’re choosing me—I don’t feel like my DNA is some fucking death sentence. I feel like I’m more. Like maybe I can actually do something right and not lose a piece of myself with it.”
Just another phenomenal book in this series! I finally got my story for Moe and I couldn’t be happier about how it turned out. My sweet Moe, I only wanted him to have the freaking world and by the end of this story he got exactly what his emo boy soul needed.
I actually rate this book 4.5/5 and the ONLY reason is that sometimes it’s hard to read in the beginning. I felt like I got lost a few times but I also attribute that to being in Moe’s head. My sweet boy had so much anxiety and it really bled through onto the page. So honestly if I was a little lost and had to re-read a few pages I’m not mad, we got the rawest form of Moe and I wanted every bit of it.
Raylen. She drove me crazy! lol in a good way most of the time. I wanted to scream “he didn’t lie!” So many times 😂 but understanding her background made it A LITTLE better. I still have the softest spot for Moe and I just wanted her to be nice to him.
Such a great addition to this storyline. Sharkie loves Moe like I do. It’s so emotionally melting to see their haphazard family come together 🥹 AND that little bombshell at the ending! I’m sobbing 😭
Trin has a habit of humanizing characters that struggle with past demons to the point she makes me cry! I’m sobbing over fictional couples over here!
That said, after having the framework that these stories are loosely based off COD, the world building, the conflict, the politics made so much sense and I could focus more on the individuals.
I’ve been waiting for Moe to get his chance in the limelight since he was first introduced and he didn’t disappoint. Raylen was complex, layered, and relatable. I cried over these people, remember?!
I definitely recommend reading all the books in order so you can have a better grasp on the world but also the dynamics between the characters. You’d be losing a layer of complexity otherwise.
I ate this up and I cannot recommend this enough to people that enjoy angst with their military romance.
Trin just knows how to make me feel all the emotions with her words. This book did not disappoint, because her books never disappoint. I loved this story so god damn much. I cried.. I screamed.. I laughed. I broke.
It’s not a Trin Savage book if you don’t go through an emotional rollercoaster and cry through half the pages. These characters stole my heart from page one. And I don’t want them to give it back. I have been so obsessed with this world since the very first book and I can’t wait for more!!
Navigating through this emotional mind fuck if a book world is like trying to rip your own heart out and shove it back into place every single day. This author always has my emotions all over the place and always has her characters breaking me into millions of pieces… I can’t wait for more and I can’t wait for book 4!
I need more of this world. I need more by Trin and I can’t wait to see what comes next!!!
ARC REVIEW Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice:🌶️🌶️🌶️ “She’s stunning, like the sound of thunder rolling over waves. No she’s beautiful like raindrops on wilted petals.”
Omg trin savage you have done it again bestie I’m so proud of you I appreciate you for letting me be part of team and the journey to read chaotic love series the military romance I’ve been hooked since I read the first page both Raylen and Moe are my favorite people like the had me smiling blushing giggling kicking my feet and each characters from each book reminded me of all the call of duty guys since I love those games so much I can’t wait for more of your books in the future and happy release day.
“I need my sunshine a little closer so she can help keep the monster inside me at bay.”
I really enjoyed the military aspect of this story and series. I also love the grumpy x sunshine trope, especially when the male main character was the sunshine, golden retriever character. This is my first book by the author and I will definitely be checking the other books in the series. I love that the characters are complex and over just very well written. The conflicts that Moe and Raylen have build upon their love story and make it so much better. I’m very thankful that I was gifted a copy of the book.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / Out of 5 Stars ⭐️
Genre/Tropes ✨ grumpy x sunshine, she’s the grumpy one, golden retriever MMC, soldier MMC, military, secret military, friends to lovers
Raylen & Moe - a Chaotic Romance This is the third book in the Chaotic Love series, and it didn’t disappoint. Like before, thé love is raw and the characters have incredible depth. I love the banter between thém, sometimes hilarious! I’m already missing Mr. Creeper. And there hé lays… This is another recommendation beyond a shadow of a doubt. Though the side characters make sense only if you first read “Sink with Me”, followed by “Burn with Me”, this is a worthy stand alone. But I wholeheartedly recommend reading the books in order to understand stand thé background story and how it impacts this book greatly.
Reading the first book I fell in love with Moe and he was my favorite character (and I think a lot of other people's too) so I have very excited to be able to read this book. I loved it! This book was everything I was hoping it would be and more. Even though these books are interconnected standalones I would highly reccomend reading them in order I think it really enhances the experience and you are able to better understand some of the things mentioned in the story which are big plots in the others. I loved Moe and Raylen and I cannot wait for the next book! Also check your trigger warnings on this one. It's a bit more heavy in this one.
I’ve been waiting for Moe’s story since we met him in the first book. His relationship with all the characters and the banter between them is great. I love how the author keeps all the characters from each book a huge part of every book. The side characters are great as well. Jack, who is Raylen’s friend and coworker is hilarious and pushes her to get out of her comfort zone with Moe. My heart hurt for Raylen and all her trauma from her past. Moe is amazing and patient with her. He’s a real softie on the inside for this woman and his family. This was a great read and I can’t wait for more from this author. Her writing continues to get even better with every book.
This book was an absolute 5 stars! I didn’t read the first two but I definitely will be now! Trin has easily earned her spot as one of my top authors! Hide from me belongs as one of my top reads of 2025! If you like a golden retriever burn the world down touch her and die kind of man then you will easily fall in love with Moe. this book has all kinds of small twists and turns that will keep you coming back wanting more and more and more. Honestly I’m sad I’ve read it this fast 🤣 ! If you haven’t read this book?! What in the world are you doing!!!
I’ve been highly anticipating this book, and Trin delivered! Throughout the first two books, I stayed curious about Moe, and now that we have his story, I’m delighted and left feeling like he was well worth the wait. He and Raylen very much compliment each other, and had me kicking my feet and giggling throughout my time reading. Great spice and really makes you feel for both characters. I enjoyed my time with this book! And it was great to see our friends from previous books as well- definitely going to have to go back and reread this series and get another taste 😋
“Hide for Me” is raw, intense, and beautifully written.
Trin Savage delivers again with a story that’s equal parts emotional and electric. Moe; deadly, haunted, and unexpectedly soft; and Raylen, who sees right through him, are a match I didn’t know I needed. Their chemistry hits fast, and the writing? Stunning.
If you’ve read Sink with Me or Burn with Me, this ties in perfectly, but Hide for Me stands on its own with gritty romance, deep scars, and serious heart. Five stars; easily. Can’t wait for more.
ARC Review I went into this book blinded not having read the first 2 and I have to say I absolutely will be reading the others this hooked me in straight the story line was so good and I love moe and raylens story and the sunshine leading the monster home was beautiful but most of all I loved the chaotic messy family dynamics with all the characters it felt real and right i honestly loved this book and can't wait to read all of them
Book 3 in the series and we finally are getting Moe’s book!
Moe (MMC) and Raylen (FMC), this is their story and it was full of twist and turns and plot that kept on giving. I was not very crazy about “Sunshine” but i understand why she was written the way she is and it’s what the story needs to work so it’s okay. Our MMC has a mouth on him that can make anyone blush and ooooweeee. I love that we get previous characters still in this book.
*I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review*
4.5/5 ⭐️ and 3/5 🌶
I haven't read books 1 or 2, but Trin Savage did an amazing job! I already bought her first 2 books and can't wait to read them too. I will be buying the paper back of this one as well.
I would recommend it to anyone who wants a military romance with Call of Duty Vibes, a stalk3r "sunshine" mmc, grumpy fmc, and wants some spice.
All in all a good read. Moe dancing on the table to get raylens attention was such a fun romcom moment. the chemistry between the characters was good and the overall plotline kept me reading. only taking off a point because there were times where I wanted to shake the fmc and the mmc having the name Moe just didn't give off the vibes I got from the character but it was a fun story and I'll definitely continue reading the series when the next book comes out.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This was so good!! I absolutely devoured this book!! Moe and Raylen were such a captivating couple! The mouth on Moe? DISGUSTING in the best way possible. I absolutely loved Trin's descriptions when describing things and / or people, and I absolutely adored the grumpy x sunshine trope! 10/10.
I need to read the rest of the books and come back to this book, but I’m not ganna lie I was hooked by the end of chapter 1. It helps I think of soap from cod too. I will definitely but the physical copy of this book.
This was so well-written. You can really see Moe and Raylen's character development, and it's paced very well. The spice was the right amount (for me at least) for a dark romance.
This is probably my favorite one in the series so far. Absolutely loved Moe and Raylen. The way Moe is towards Raylen, the way he cares and understands, perfect!!
There were still several mistakes in the book (typos, sentences or words being written double).
THE BEST BOOK IN THE SERIES OH MY GOD. I have fallen in LOVE with Moe as a character and absolutely love the integration of non-military characters and Raylin!
