I love books about hot, sexy Alpha Russian mobsters & this one definitely delivers. Lauren is a 20 year college student who tries her best to be perfect for her Father who is a Federal Judge, even saving herself for marriage. Nikolai is the Enforcer for Anatoly Petrov, a Russian mafia boss. Anatoly's son has been arrested & is being held for trial without bail & Lauren's Father is the presiding judge in his case. Lauren is out with friends at a club when she meets a handsome man who buys her a drink that has been drugged. When she wakes up she is in a strange apartment with several Russian men including the man who bought her the drink. Nikolai is very attracted to Lauren & doesn't want anyone else around her so he takes her to his home to be kept until the court date which is only a few days away. Lauren gives in to her attraction to Nikolai & gives him her virginity, when the time comes to go home she doesn't want to, she wants to stay with Nikolai.

I really liked the story and it was well written but am a bit angry that it isn't a complete story. It's only half or maybe a third, who knows. There was no indication in the description on Amazon that this was only the first part. If I had known the book wasn't complete I wouldn't have bothered. By the time the next part is published I'll have moved on. When are authors going to realize that they are losing readers (sales) by publishing parts without warning. Such a shame too because if I had the complete story I'm sure it would have been close to 5 stars. As it is I'm feeling generous giving it 3 for leaving me hanging.

I like the story line until the end where there is no ending until the next book with no future title or release date. Like many series I will loose interest by the time it is released.

Lauren is taken by the Russian mafia to influence her father to free one of their men. Nikolai has been an enforcer for years and Lauren is so innocent until he comes into her life. When he becomes more than her kidnapper, Lauren falls for him even though she knows the kind of man he is and can't help herself. All kidnapping aside these two are scorching hot together, but then there is the whole taking her against her will thing they will have to deal with.

Great read. Nikoli and Lauren are strong characters. This book is one I do recommend as the story is strong ok it ends with a what the hell? What happens? Etc. One hell of a cliff hanger. Makes me need to read the next book. Nikoli is an alpha bad boy which I love. Lauren seems timid but oh what sass she has !
