This book feels like a breath of fresh air for anyone who's ever wanted to grow their own food but didn’t know where to begin. It’s warm, funny, and full of hope, like getting advice from a patient friend who genuinely believes you can do this. It doesn’t matter if your plants have all died before or if you’ve never even touched soil. This guide meets you exactly where you are and gently walks you forward.

Everything is explained in a way that’s easy to follow, without any confusing jargon or intimidating steps. This book is like a mini bible of greenhouses, guiding you through choosing, buying, and setting up your own greenhouse, even including a section on how to build one from scratch. It would have been wonderful if the author had included a blueprint or diagram of a classic greenhouse to better visualize the instructions. There’s also a great section on timing, the seasons, and what types of plants to start with.

The section on myths is eye-opening, clearly explaining why they’re misleading and how you can do things right without breaking the bank. I also loved the part where the author encourages a bit of introspection to help you figure out how to carve out 30 minutes a day for your hobby. Now that’s what I call the right mindset!

This book is amazing. It is written so clearly and covers all the bases, from choosing a greenhouse size and shape that fits your space and budget, to options for construction and materials, and all the details of managing the inside.

I am someone who has worked in greenhouses and gardens, but there is so much I didn't know that this book provides, with easy-to-understand solutions and approaches to maximize productivity and maintenance.

This book is truly comprehensive. It is also written in plain English without jargon, and in a supportive and friendly style.

Absolutely beginner must have

I absolutely love this book! There’s humor, simplicity, down-to-earth advice, and examples of what not to do. This author covers everything needed for building and filling a greenhouse. There are several options for each step. Questions are presented for you to answer to help figure out what will work best in your situation. This makes it uniquely specific to the reader. It’s written in a way that is very easy to understand. After reading this book I have no doubt that I could actually build and effectively use a greenhouse.

The highlight is the easy read due to speaking style of the book which enhances the very detailed and informative with clear explanations. From the build to the tools, soil, environment, bloom, harvest and beyond this book has pretty much everything covered. Pest and Disease management rounds it out to be a handy go to learning/reference guide for any level greenhouse gardener. As a greenhouse gardener myself I learned something new and will definitely be keeping this handy.
