Anna is satisfied with the life that she has built with her husband, Chris. Her steady, but lackluster job, and their cushion-stain-free lifestyle give her stability, untouched by chaos. When an unexpected event occurs, it shifts her perspective completely, throwing her into a different life that she never knew she needed.
Chris, wracked with grief and guilt over the present circumstance, sits by her side as she remains in a coma. His anguish pushes him out of the placid comfort of his orderly life, and into the painful turmoil he had always avoided.
As she succumbs to her brain-swelling coma, Anna opens her eyes inexplicably to a life she would have once had. She finds herself married to a man she'd once met in Scotland, though she'd left him to pursue a more predictable path over a decade ago. He gives her life meaning and excitement, filled with the happiness and chaos that make life worth living.
Will the truth of her circumstances force her to confront her new life and return to where she came from? Or will she risk living a lie to preserve the dream she has created across the ocean?
Started of a little confusing but makes sense further in the book. Loved how it ask came together in the end. Anna goes through so much. I'm glad she follows her heart in the end.
I read this book in 2 days. The storyline kept me wanting to know more. This author has written four books, and this book is no exception. It made me reflect on my own life and decisions. A must-read. Next.
