Siegecraft: The Combat Engineer’s Gambit: A LitRPG Fantasy Adventure

Rate this book
He wakes up on a beach of broken bodies and burning questions.
No name. No past. Only the memory of being burned alive—and hands that know how to build, fight, and survive.
In a world where magic is real and everyone is shaped by the Class they earn, a nameless man is captured by an invading army and dragged before their commander. The war isn't going well. The reinforcements have sunk. The siege has stalled. And the army needs a miracle.
They get him instead.

Though he remembers nothing of who he was, the stranger knows the language of war—trenches, tunnels, trebuchets. He sees weak points others miss and crafts plans with deadly precision. His unorthodox knowledge earns him a place among the commander’s trusted advisors… and eventually, a command of his own. But the war is only just getting started.

As he climbs the ranks, unlocking strange skills and fragments of memory, he becomes something a Combat Engineer. A builder of siege engines. A planner of assaults. A breaker of walls.
Will that be enough to turn the tide and secure the victory? Read Siegecraft to find out!

Lot of fun

So a good first book. likable story. A few twists it were less than expected. However, there's a lot left on the table so much as left unexplained. The MC enters the world with no memory of his name.Or where why he's there. .Language hasn't been explained yet and the world itself barely. However, however, the fun part is you learn when the MC learns. I'm not sure exactly where you go with combat engineer, but I'm sure the author does. So I look forward to the next book..

classic wish fulfillment

I’m not sure when enjoyment people get out of simplistic wish fulfilment books… Guy wakes up with no memory, is captured and treated like a slave, he smiles at the pretty woman, he helps them just happy to serve, but he still has his sarcastic wit ha ha. Who the hell would ever put up with being treated that way and then just be grateful to his pretty new masters ?

it was not for me

First off, the the MC. I was expecting more action and less droning on about the female love interest which was smacked into our faces at the get go. Turned me off to the whole story when every other paragraph was about her. I don’t know what is worse a harem story or forcing romantic bs on readers when all we want is an action book, leveling and gore.

I almost put the book down when MC said he was in love after 2 days. Lust I would believe but anyway. I don’t mind the fact that women run the world (they basically do here). But there’s no real description of the world. And very little action. I also don’t really like cliffhangers. I think I’m done with this series

good but not enough plot

The story was well written and very interesting but it also reached what seems like its peak too early. Hopefully the next book in the series will correct that though.

good fun!

Has all the right qualities- good mc, not overpowered and not weak, lighthearted energy aka popcorn marvel movie style, and moves everything along.

Cool Class

Nicely done. Interesting use of flashbacks and language. Good world building. Made for an interesting book, I can’t wait for the next book.

Good book one.

Good book one. Interweaving folklore with the story.
This book is worth rereading in my eyes.
Look forward to reading the next four books in the series.

interesting

I like the fairly unique class. ‘Amnesia’ is a useful tool for having the MC need to learn the rules of the world. Not sure how it’s going to continue, though.

Cliffhanger

I would rate this book 5 stars if it didn’t end in a cliffhanger. This should be clearly labeled as a Book 1 and is not.

Okay Read

It has a good premise, but he was a little too focused on Maeves' looks than trying to find answers.
