One Russian defector. One covert team. One extraction that goes off the rails.
When former special operations officer Luke Ryder is called back into the shadows for a high-stakes mission, the objective is extract a disillusioned Russian general and his mysterious companion from Sochi before the FSB catches on. What starts as a precise, covert operation spirals into chaos, forcing Ryder and his team into a desperate escape across the Black Sea.
But the woman at the center of it all—Nata Volkova—is more than just a defector’s mistress. She's a covert asset carrying secrets capable of igniting a global crisis.
Pursued by Russian operatives, cut off from command, and hunted through the streets of Istanbul, Ryder must rely on instinct, grit, and a team of black-ops specialists to survive. As betrayal closes in and escape routes vanish, the mission becomes personal—and not everyone will make it out alive.
When a special ops team is sent to Sochi to extract a Russian general and a covert asset carrying secrets, whatever can go wrong does. Dark Extraction is a well written thriller. The writing flows beautifully from one scene to the next. From Idaho, where Luke Ryder leaves his girl, to crossing the Black Sea, to the streets of Istanbul. All hell breaks loose and Ryder must rely on his instincts to survive. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next in the series. A must read!
I would follow Luke Ryder into battle any day of the week and twice on Sunday's. He has a cool head and the best leadership abilities to get out of scrapes.
