This book was amazing! In this world, vampires rule over humans and enslave them. The world building was so well done and the character development was spectacular. Zelda is the heir apparent who has been taught by her cruel father to take over but all of that changes when she meets Theo, a human. This book had me at the edge of my seat! I cannot wait for the second one. Thank you Breann Kyley for allowing me to arc read this!

I love that this book is in multiple points of view!
Imagine losing your spot on the top of the food chain and you’re forced into breeding, bleeding, or feeding camps for the new rulers of the world. Our MMC Theo was forced into the breeding camp after turning 16 and since then has been used to breed with other human women to keep up with the supply and demand of their new vampire rulers. After many years he’s just about given up and is ready to end it all rather then to be stuck in this breeding camp another day. That changes though when a friend of his lets him in on his escape plan. Both get out, but it isn’t long before they are found by two vampire princesses on the hunt. When our FMC Zelda sees Theo for the first time something in her stirs and she tells him to run while her sister feeds on his friend. There’s no saving him now.
After a couple encounters between the two Zelda still continues to save Theo from harm. Only one night she has to make a choice that will forever change her fate as the heir to the throne. Now on the run together Theo begins to trust Zelda more and realizes she may not be as much of a monster as he thought. He’s knows she’s keeping something from him but is willing to wait until they get to Europe for her to tell him. When she finally does it changes so much for them both as they now will fight for one another.
This book was written so well and had me begging for Zelda to tell Theo the truth about everything. Boy once she did I cried with her at Theo’s understanding and admitted love for her. But just as quickly my joy was ripped from me. The last few chapters had me feeling like I had whiplash. The choice Zelda made against her sisters for Theo was literally epic. The ending had me picking my jaw off the ground. I can’t wait for the second book to come out because I need it now!

Romantasy, slow burn, soul mates!
We are introduced to a world where vampires rule and humans are used in unimaginable ways. From breeding camps to bleeding camps. This story follows Theo and Zelda's journey with some twists along the way.
Theo is a human at the lowest point in his life living at a breeding camp forced into procreation to create more humans to serve the vampires. Zelda is our FMC who is a vampire.
Theo escapes from the camp and runs into Zelda who is discovered to be tethered to Theo from first glance. Theo and Zelda eventually come together and run off to Europe to escape a dangerous situation. Along their journey Zelda falls hard and fast but is afraid to open up to Theo due to his past.
The pair finally makes it to Europe where everything finally comes out, feelings, pasts, and what the future could be.
While I did love this tale, I am upset that the book ended with a cliff hanger just when things were finally coming together. I will be waiting with bated breath for the continuation of Theo and Zelda's tale!

I am not really sure where to start! I wish I could give more than 5 stars.
This book was AMAZING! Breann created a world full of action and romance!
I went into this book having no preconceived notion or idea what this book was about. I was immediately captivated and couldn’t put the book down!
The world building in this book was out of this world! The character development was top notch.
This is a slow burn romance. The development of Zelda and Theo’s relationship goes from enemies to friends to partners. The emotions that these characters feel was so deep and painful. They both had endured so many trials before finding each other.
I cannot wait for Book 2 and see how this story evolves.

If you love Vampires that rule, and humans are used like cattle, this book is for you. A wonderful book that takes you on a runaway journey with a vampire and a human. I don't like giving spoilers but..... Breann's writing is wonderful. The way she describes what's happening paints the clearest picture in your mind, as if you are watching a movie!! There is blood and violence, enemies to lovers and a well played slow burn spicy spice! Moments that make you heart flutter and a ending that made me pout!
P.s hurry with the next book, need answers!!

Acid is dark, brutal, and completely addictive. The world Breann Kyley built is cruel and twisted, yet so vivid that I felt like I was right there in the shadows with the characters.
Theo broke my heart, Zelda’s icy strength pulled me in, and the tension between them kept me turning pages long into the night. The mix of violence, politics, and forbidden desire is sharp and unforgettable.
Tabatha really stood out for me, I could see her so clearly in my mind that she felt alive on the page. That made the darker moments hit even harder.
If you love your romantasy raw, spicy, and unflinching, this one will grab you by the throat and not let go. I’ll be waiting impatiently for Book 2.

I love this book! This was a true enemies to lovers book. The world building was wonderful, It really painted an amazing atmosphere and picture in my mind. The characters were well thought out, had depth, and great banter. I enjoyed every aspect of the book and just when I thought I had it figured out there would be another twist. Then that ending….. book 2 please! Seriously, would recommend to anyone that loves vampires, enemies to lovers, slow burn fantasy.

This book was so good!! I absolutely loved the vampires vs humans and how detailed you made the world. The story line was so good. I could not put the book down! Theo is an absolute sweetheart that learned who he really is along the way. Zelda is a very strong woman who is not afraid to put someone in there place! The ending has me spiraling and I need the next book asap! If you want a slow burn wild ride I highly recommend this book! Acid is dark, addictive, and unapologetically intense. From the first page, the worldbuilding pulls you under like a slow-burn spell, blending dangerous alchemy, sharp tension, and morally gray characters you can’t help but obsess over. The chemistry crackles, the stakes keep climbing, and every chapter feels like it’s daring you to stop reading (you won’t). If you love dark romantasy with bite, atmosphere, and a story that lives rent-free in your head long after the final page—this one is a must-read.

I love me a good vampire book and this definitely didn’t disappoint. So many times i wanted to smack characters but in the best way lol the banter absolutely great and the emotional connection and talking between characters. I will say the ending made me sad for the fmc but the way this book went im sure its gonna get better and i can’t wait. If you love vampire and human coexistence and soulmates definitely give this a go!

Took be a bit to read it being so busy but I absolutely loved it! I had the honor of arc reading and I’m so glad I did because this had taken the #1 spot for my favorite read this year so far! The world building is amazing there is so much complexity and it’s so well written that it’s not overdone like some books can be! The slow burn side of it keeps you wanting to read page after page! And the story line itself is so good and intriguing! Absolutely love it!

For a slow burn this was action packed. I almost forgot about the romance. Great concept! Very original! Im super excited for more of this series. And i have not read anything like this in a modern romantasy. This has promise!!!

A brilliantly written book about how choices have a ripple effect not all can see. The buildup of the relationship between Zelda and Theo is expertly written. Eagerly looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I loved this book! Not only was it a fresh take on vampires, but it had so many good tropes and such a unique storyline that it was a hard to put down. I'm really excited to see where this story goes in the next book!!
