She swore she’d never trust him again. But now her life depends on it.
Zara Khoury’s reputation and heart were nearly destroyed when Finn Novak betrayed her trust seven years ago. Now, a ruthless enemy has returned, implicating Zara in dangerous crimes she didn’t commit. With her life in danger and nowhere else to turn, she must place her safety in the hands of the one man she vowed never to trust again. Finn Novak’s life changed when faith opened his eyes to his past mistakes—especially the one that cost him Zara. Dedicated to hunting the same enemy, he finds himself pulled back into Zara’s life, determined to protect her and restore what his actions once broke. Caught in a deadly game of espionage and deception, Zara and Finn must risk trusting each other again. Can they move beyond past betrayals, or will old wounds expose them both to new threats?
They loved each other 7 years ago but they’ve had big problems and parted ways. Finn still loved her when he came back, but she wasn’t having anything to do with him. She did not even want to work with them but he had the expertise they needed. Great awesome story. Enjoy.
This book has all the elements I’ve come to expect from the author: continuous action and danger, twists and turns, faith and a touch of romance. I enjoyed the character development, and the humorous group chats brought welcome lightness during multiple tense situations.
This is a fast-paced story with twists and turns, action, danger, faith, and a touch of romance. Zara and Finn are forced to work together. Zara isn't sure if she can trust Finn who betrayed her 7 years ago, but Finn has changed. Enjoyed the team's group texts as it adds a touch of reprieve during tense moments.
This is a well written book with well-created characters. However, the story line just isn't for me. I don't enjoy the "spy" type stuff and I just couldn't get into this story. I loved the other 3 books in this series.
Loved the book. Weaving through the cybersecurity jargon was quite a challenge. I found myself reading through several sections of the book just trying to understand the jargon. I think I learned something!
Most of these, in this series, are well written, entertaining and adventurous, and I enjoy each. They are clean, with undercurrent of faith through regular characters. Deep faith? Probably not, but growing faith. Enjoy!
