A Silly Story Of Bondapalli

Rate this book
There was once a prince who hated food. One day the royal cook gave him something new to eat... a hot golden ball, crisp outside, soft inside... a bonda! After that there is no stopping either the prince or this mad tale that rolls its jolly way to an inevitable happy, bondaful end. The jaunty illustrations pick up all the comic clues along the way, to make it a truly 'silly' story.

I kept reading and hearing about this book without reading it. The situation was remedied today. What a silly story! And a completely believable one at that. I kept thinking,' If you eat bondas, you will definitely become round.' A bondaful story with illustrations that make you giggle and chuckle.

A prince refused to eat and the royal cook serendipitously invented a new snack of hot golden balls that the prince thought were Wonderful which sounded like Bondaful with his mouth stuffed and that’s how the kingdom came to be known as Bondapalli.
An interesting story line giving a (silly) and plausible etymology for our very own bondas. The sing-song lines make it extremely enjoyable to read out loud to children.
