Just an Aussie girl who loves to daydream ✨
I’ve never been great at talking about myself or making bios, but I have an imagination the size of Australia and while I may not have enough time on my hands to be writing every second of everyday like I’d like to - thanks to my tornado toddlers - I had enough time to write my debut, Shades of Smoke and Shadows which releases in July, 2024 as the first instalment of the Crooked Crowns series. Here’s to being an author, the faerie world I wish I could live in and so much more fun to come!

Celia warned me this was going to hurt and she was 100% right. I knew it would get worse before it got better but goddamn it was a wild ride.

We were lulled into a false sense of security because the story made it past the 80% mark and it really felt like our heroes were going to get everything they wanted, and then oop EMOTIONAL! DAMAGE!

I really appreciated all the different POVs, not just from Clara, Beau, and Isobel. It provided a lot more perspective on the various goings on throughout this world and the final battle. It also made me wonder if we will get more in this world or if it really js the end/

This story was a bittersweet end to the trilogy but the way Celia wrote it was so hauntingly beautiful. I’m not known for being much of a crier but I had silent tears running down my face from like 86% onwards. I’m so grateful my friend bullied me into picking this series up bc I feel richer for having it in my life. I absolutely cannot wait for the day in which I can finally meet Celia, and give her the biggest hug before having to gently throttle her for causing all the trauma.

If you want a fantastic romantasy with badass females, a precious found family, and is guaranteed to make you scream, shout and cry then you could not have picked a better series for it. Just don’t try sending your therapy bills to Celia because she is an evil genius and would probably just use them to wallpaper her library 😂 I cannot wait to see what she has in store for us next!

This was the end of an era, one I started a year ago with Celia when I won her giveaway in December 2024 and a book that floored me, Shades of Smoke and Shadows. This week I finished the series with book 3, Rumours of Rage and Revenge - and what a ride.

I am so sad to say goodbye to these characters and world (with tears shed too...) but ultimately I've been lucky to have found Celia and her words, to have experienced the highs and lows of Clara's story and come away with a new appreciation that although not all endings are HEA for everyone, endings can also be the beginnings of something special and different and that the journey can be more important than the end goal.

This book will give you all the feels and then some.

Without giving anything away to those who haven't started this series yet, we pick up where book two left us, with futures uncertain, an arranged marriage to organise, a war on the horizon and fate no longer creeping up behind our main characters, but running full pelt at them.

The introduction of new POVs (but not new characters) adds another layer to the already rich world building, and gives the reader an opportunity to see the whole picture and moving parts as a whole.

Celia has written the absolute hell out of this book and gives us a conclusion that's full of heart, pain, hope and a little 'F' you that is so Clara coded.

If you love:

- why choose
- fated mates
- impossible choices
- feminine rage
- arranged marriage
- morally grey main characters
- touch them and die
- possessiveness
- elemental magic
- lgbtqia+
- crying

Then this book and series has it all - and more. I read this one prior to official release day.

OMG that hurt. 😭😭😭. But it was so beautiful to read. Celia pulls no punches when writing and you will fall in love with the world, the characters and the heartbreaks along the way...... and still ask for more.
Clara is such a strong amazing female character and she surrounds herself with people who support her fully, yet be kickass on their own as well.
A beautiful heartbreak of a trilogy that will take some time to heal from.

Celia does it again with the emotional trauma. What a way to finish these characters stories.
I’m so heart broken that this is the end. I have had the privilege to arc read this whole trilogy and I feel so honoured.
If you want a good cry this trilogy is for you. I have never sobbed so hard for a fictional character then I did for Beau

I actually need a moment to process what happened in this book because I’ve been left speechless once again. I am not okay.

Aussie Indie Author!
Final Book in Trilogy 😭

Celia 👏👏👏
This has been an incredible debut series and I can't wait for more eyes to be brought on this!

I was not shocked to see yet again more twists and turns in this final book as well as a healthy dose of heartache. Celia loves to keep us guessing and then crush us when we least expect it.

The characters in this series are so refreshing and I aspire to have to confidence of Clara 😂

The 3rd book in the trilogy. I absolutely loved! Although I must say I wasn’t happy about what happened to Beau. I was an emotional wreck. Loved the series and recommend to all if you like fae, magic, romance, humor and action.

Ya'll are going to be in so much pain-

Full Review:

Ya'll are not ready for the SERIOUS pain this book caused me. I sat there SOBBING but can confirm, this book is literally the most perfect way to end a series. Celia ties up necessary loose ends, deals you emotional damage and then wraps it up in a neat bow and delivers it nicely in a tidy lil book that makes you feel warm and tearful.

10/10 read, make sure you have tissues on hand and remember to send a video to Celia with your feelings.

thank you Celia for sharing your world with us. I'm so glad you allowed us to join you on this journey 🥹
