This book deserves 5 stars, but since it's the second part of a series and I haven't read the first one, it wasn't the right fit for me. I received it as an ARC, and I tried to get into the story, but I just couldn't fully connect. However, if you read both parts, I'm sure it would be a very, very good story.

I was extremely elated when I found out I had been chosen to get an ARC of Catalyst, the sequel of songbird, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it, on this
So unique , and unlike any other books I have read. I breathed it in and consumed in 2 days.
Catalyst was Easy to read, and not hard to understand the world, it wasn’t overly complicated. The multiple points of view was easy enough to differentiate, and expressed the characters well. The inner dialogue’s were enthralling and again gave a more in depth understanding of them. I especially enjoyed getting the backstories of the MMC’s it helped to understand why they are so unhinged.
The story itself is super interesting, engaging and at times heartbreaking, with elements of mystery and suspense.
It kept my attention and I couldn’t wait to be able to pick it up at the next opportunity.
The way the author writes make it easy to imagine the setting, with the good descriptions of people places it was easy to immerse myself into her world. And the way that some of the scenes were described made my heart break, I felt I could really relate to the female character and felt a deeper connection to her.
The smut was hot and steamy, and the sexual chemistry and tension and desire between the characters was brilliant executed.
A solid 5⭐️ read.

Cassian- Jenna- Lucian
A hot brother sandwich with enough spice to wet your whistle if you know what I mean 😉
There’s a lot of action (no not just in the bedroom as to speak )twists and turns, and a few OMG’s & holy fuck’s but all in good reading 📖 I actually love this story and how it is dark Romance and then along the way the element of dark fantasy made its way in there .
Even though there are 3 pov’s it’s easy to follow. You get to really feel the character emotions & get to really know their personalities. Cassian is alll about th love for Jenna with a sprinkle of unhinged while Lucian does love Jenna he is much more unhinged than Cassian which Jenna needs at times! She gets the best of both worlds.
I was definitely NOT expecting that ending 😳 but I’m glad there was a bonus chapter so I wasn’t left completely distraught.
Amazing book, amazing writing, amazing author ✍️

I was not prepared for that ending.. 😭😭 like never liked Hilary. I appreciate she was under a mind control and all that jazz, but nah she gave me bad feels from the start.
One wish - is that Jenna would stop pushing Lucien away 🥺 he is grieving also for the loss of his brother and was ready to end his own life because he doesn’t feel he is good enough for her. How can she not see that he loves her? Everything he does is for her.
Excited for the final instalment. I have a theory that the blood necklace Cassian gave Jenna will be vital in bringing him back. Maybe all they need is a pumping heart, that blood as well as other blood bags going through his body?
Then the person Jenna saw at the start of this book will come back..??

My last wish actually.. is that Lucien see’s and realises he isn’t second best. He is genuinely a caring person that has never learned to heal from his trauma.

Oh, blimey....just wow. I loved it....I have to admit I didn't really fully get into it until the second half of the book, but I still couldn't put it down. I think it's great how original the ideas of this story are...it's like looking at things with a fresh set of eyes. The premise of the characters and how they change is unique and very refreshing.
Catalyst really did send me on a tailspin from start to finish....it broke my heart, and while it's not totally put back together, I hope it is in the next book. I genuinely can't wait to dive back into their world and read the journey these characters take you on!
I would definitely recommend. It is highly advisable to check the TW before reading as there are some heavy topics included. Totally worth it, in my opinion.

Erm thanks I know in the last review I was like hopefully jenna is given a break in the next book but you did me dirty ( Okay you gave me exactly what I asked for.)
But you didn't have to do me like that and the cliff hanger darn it.
Okay so they may have somewhat pulled through the carnage but the battle is far from over.
They have had so much pain and loss its hard to imagine any of these characters having any form of soul left to salvage at the end of these books.
I am hoping though that hillary dies at the hands of jenna or one of her children for what she done.
This authour for sure knows how to keep you captivated and annoyingly knows when to strike a true aim causing the most impact at the best times .
Thank you for the amazing book im looking forward to the next one 🥰

I don’t want to boast, but I may have found my new favourite series! ✨
My first ARC was absolutely bloody perfect!
The Thorne brothers are just something else and I’m obsessed! I’ve never read anything with a fantasy twist, but this was so well written it had me delving into fantasy like a woman in heat!!
This second book in the series had me hooked instantly, I couldn’t put it down and I just needed to know where it was going. The twists and the turns were exciting. The spice was 🤌😍
The ending had me shook, sobbing and just defeated (thank god for the little bonus chapter at the end!!)
I need the next book, I’m completely obsessed!

bonus chapter tells me this is not the end!! I can't wait for book 3..

The second book in the series.
i actually got this as an arc from the author and i'm so grateful!
The book was perfectly written at the perfect pace. A really great balance of spice and story.
There was mannnnny twists in this i didn't expect and the end?!???? Literal heart ache.
It put me through so much emotion but honestly its what makes the book 5 stars.
if your into dark romance / dark fantasy - dont miss out on this series !!!

Packed full of twists and turns. I couldn't put this book down. Would 100% recommend this book. Keeps you on your toes, full of dark and unhinged moments, and the spicy scenes are HOT!!!!! I love Eleanor crowes writing style she captures the moment perfectly, keeps the story flowing, and just when you think you know what's going to happen next, she throws in a spanner. Love the characters, the details, the story, the plot, and just an amazing read.

So I initially read the first book and had mixed feelings and after speaking to the author and giving feedback I’m so happy to see that she actually took everything into consideration and I would see subtle differences throughout the book which in my opinion definitely helped with the book. Thank you so much Eleanor for giving me the opportunity to continue reading your books 🥰
