Essential reading to understand the contribution the UN Declaration has made to Indigenous Peoples' rights in international law. Xanthaki is insightful on the intersectionality of gender and Indigenous rights. Doyle/Gilbert provide a comprehensive summary of where we are on land rights, land expropriations and consultation/consent. And read Kymlicka if you want to understand how minority rights and Indigenous Peoples rights have arrived at such divergent places in the human rights regime. Many other highlights...
