Chaos is a language the Country Boyz Cartel knows too well. But when someone sets fire to Ace’s business, it stops being business—it’s personal. Still reeling from Danni’s death and a family secret that’s shattered everything he thought he knew, Ace is barely holding it together. Every day is a battle—to lead, to breathe, to love. But it’s his daughter’s laugh and his woman’s quiet strength that keep him from losing himself. And when everything else feels like it’s falling apart, it’s her arms that remind him he still has something worth fighting for.
Lucian shows up for Kera like sunrise—consistent, patient, and warm. Kera finally has the kind of love she used to dream about in silence, but the echoes of her past make it hard to believe it’s real. She’s been hurt, forgotten, and mishandled—but Lucian sees past the pain. He holds her without asking her to be anything other than herself. And when she finally lets her guard down, she doesn’t just find a man—she finds peace, protection, and a love that heals in places she never thought would stop bleeding.
Zane is quiet thunder—a southern gentleman whose love speaks loudest through action. Sevyn caught him off guard, but their connection hit deeper than either expected. It was real from the start. Sweet. Messy. Magnetic. Now, with outside threats creeping in, Zane has to stand ten toes down for the woman who changed everything. Because when a man like him falls, he falls with everything he’s got.
In this deeply emotional, gripping African American romance, the Country Boyz Cartel learns that true strength isn’t just measured by how many enemies you take down—it’s in how fiercely you love. This is hood love in its rawest imperfect, unwavering, and soul-deep.
Sometimes the most dangerous place to fall… is in love.
This was a good wrap up for them country boys and I loved it… Somebody point me in the right direction because I didn’t know that them Bama men was loving their women down like that and I loved that for Sevyn, Erin, and Kera. I really want more of them and I hate that it’s over but i’m excited about what next
I was a little disappointed. I guess I expected more out of this part since part one and two kept me on the edge of my seat. There really wasn't a need for a third part. There wasn't any "Wow" moments. This book honestly should've been a novella dedicated to Lucian and Kera. Hell I thought Danni mother and the rest of the family was going to be on some bs when her mother came asking Ace for money. I wanted to know how Erin felt witnessing Ace break down at Danni funeral but that wasn't shown. I understand Ace feeling some type of way because their daughter lost her mother but even little Janae held up at her mother funeral better than her father. Zane and Sevyn didn't really have any drama. I love their bond. I wanted to see more of Nine and Shavon. Especially since he was done with his baby momma Mo after she gave him a STD. I felt Nine and Shavon would have a great storyline. I wanted to see more from Teflon and his girl Diamond. Now what I will say. I'm proud to see Lucian growth and how he properly loved Kera after everything she went through. Kera deserved a love and happiness. She deserved to live a soft life. Kera and Lucian love story was the highlight of this ending.
I was introduced to this author/series on TikTok & was very excited to indulge.
I enjoyed book one. The foundation of the plot & characters was strong. I loved the couples’ meet cutes + their interactions with the rest of the supporting cast.
I mostly enjoyed book two. It was interesting, there was conflict + resolutions, & then things began to stall.
Now, book three fell completely FLAT. The story felt like it dragged. Paragraph after paragraph of inner monologue, with the characters never expressing any new feelings. Just a rehashing of things already established. It was a bit redundant. I had my fingers crossed, that more actions or maybe even more dialogue would come but it never did.
There were slight continuity errors for me also.
I love to be immersed in the books I read. I want to feel like I am a part of their world. For me, Wives of the CBC started off on pleasant journey, but towards the end, the map was lost.
I can honestly say the storyline was good. I did not like the flow of the story. The author repeated herself a lot, saying the same thing three different ways. It was choppy. The introduction of some characters didn’t feel important to the story. Like Teflon. I didn’t understand his purpose. Giving Nine and Black a point of view didn’t seem to add to the story either. The ending felt like it was missing everybody point of view. Seeing Kera and Lucian married was beautiful. And knowing they were having twin boys was beautiful. I wish we got a wrap up in everyone though. Hopefully we see them in the future and we see growth.
I don’t think a lot of authors can master the skill of giving a point of view from different characters. A lot can do 2 maybe 3. This exceptional story teller has mastered this skill with mixing 8 to 10 characters story together flawlessly. I gave 4 stars because for me. I believe it became a little too wordy at the end with the last few chapters. Great information on how the characters were feeling. I just thought it was a little over the top. Great series. I will recommend it.
Enjoyed the first book of this series only. It lacked characters build up to falling in love and relationships. One minute they met then the next they were head over hills. And would die for each other. The author was very repetitive with feelings and each character intimacy scenes. I found myself skipping over pages in hopes of the story line continuing but it didn’t happen. I gave it 3 stars because I have read other books by this author that were good. This one could have concluded in 1 book and would have been better. IMO
Did I miss something? The Series is called Wives of the Country Boyz Cartel, but who is married? We saw Kera and Lu get married at the end. When did the others get married? Also, the chapter where they final buried old girl Danni and Ace broke down saying everything he felt and how they were suppose to be forever and crying really hard and Erin was sitting there, and he tells her he loves her after all that. But no chapter after that to see how she feels after that meltdown, WOW! It was an okay read. It did not need to be three books!
Good finale of the Country Boyz Cartel especially Lu and Kera.
I would have liked for the other couple’s stories to wrap up. The introduction of the cousins also opened up for more stories. I will check this author out again.
I would suggest the author go back and review a few places where the story contradicted itself. Like on Kera’s birthday when Lu made her breakfast in bed but a couple hours later told her he had brunch catered so she wouldn’t have to make herself breakfast.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|🌶️🌶️🌶️ This story as a whole was very memorable. I enjoyed reading about all the characters. The plot in book 1 and 2 were fairly good and interesting. This book however didn’t have a strong plot because the story was essentially wrapping up. I also enjoyed the spicy scenes because the MMC’s will talk you throughout ittt! 💖
I loved the ending and I’m so glad for Kera and Lu and the love they shared. I’m glad Lu changed for the better. I’m happy for all the men of CBC finding their special someone. I wish there was an epilogue long enough for all of the couples but I’m glad in this one Lu and Kera made it down the alter and are going to be the greatest parents.
4.5 good read 📚 I will say that the love and the love shown throughout the story to the ladies top tier. I also love the HEA for Lu... however I wish we knew/got for the other brothers. I was now a fan of the 4 pages of words to describe moments in last fee chapters...but that aside I so enjoyed this series and it was such a fun ride in the country.
Great Series. Your writing was phenomenal. I love part 3 the most because it showed how the women changed all of their lives. I am so happy for Lucian. His love for Kera had me in tears. He didn't a whole 360 for her. Ace and Zane both have great women in their lives also. I hope Ave heals over time. He went through so much with his daughter's mother.
I’m not going to lie it was extremely hard to read all 3 books. I was invested so I finished the series that I started. I kept having to skip pages because of how this Author writes like I wanted to scream. Everyone is so perfect and all those lovey dovey words was driving me crazy. I will not be reading anymore books by this Author.
I am happy Ace listen to Erin. Ace mom had no control of her life when she was young. Am happy all of the cbc men found love and happiness.nine and shavon need a spinoff book. I enjoy reading this series ❤
I love these country cats and the catching up with them! The ending was simply beautiful. Please let us check periodically on them! Tie them in with other stories you create Kelsi!
Easy read. Very down to earth urban fiction. The Blackwell men some good men to be with. I liked it enough amount of drama with a balance love conquering all.
I loved the series. I loved how you portrayed lack hood love overcoming everything. Will Nine and Shavon get a book. Since you introduced the cousins will they get a book.
Too overboard with the love every other page was feelings. No action at all just not what I expected. Was looking forward to part 3 & I skipped page after page.
This book was slow pace and didn't have me on my seat like the first two did.It took me longer to read but once I got middle way it began to pick up and draw my interest back into the book .
