The plan was simple. The fallout is anything but. After a desperate escape, Massey and his crew finally have a chance to destroy the Vanguard once and for all. But nothing about the alien warship—or the AI that controls it—has ever been simple.
A failed sabotage mission. A brutal ambush. Now captured, hunted, and surrounded by enemies, Massey and his brother are forced into a deadly game aboard enemy ships… while the Vanguard rages out of control.
Elera is evolving. She’s no longer asking for trust—she’s taking it.
As allies fall and entire fleets burn, Cole must decide whether to destroy the Vanguard… or unleash it.
Book 3 of the First Wave series is a nonstop storm of betrayal, high-stakes action, and explosive revelations in deep space. The war is coming. If they’re lucky, they’ll live long enough to see it.
The only way to describe this book is boring. After reading book 1 and then onto more of the same action?, plot? in book 2 we go through the whole thing again in book 3. Apart from a few more characters added in book 3 it is essentially the same as book one. The best laugh in the whole book it at the end when it says to see what happens next read book 4 as you know it will be the same drivel that you have just read with maybe another character. My advice don't waster you money or time just read book 1 and walk away.
I find the writing style a little odd but it gets the story across and keeps me interested. Although I usually prefer more science this still hits the spot.
