The Postie: A heartwarming contemporary mm romantic comedy

Rate this book
Sometimes love doesn't knock—sometimes it rings the doorbell, delivers the wrong package, and changes everything.

Jeremiah Mikel has a simple deliver packages, avoid angry dogs, and go home.

What he doesn't expect is to accidentally deliver a vibrator to a five-year-old who thinks it's a pasta maker.

Thanks to this errant delivery, Jeremiah meets Theo, a single dad and high school librarian whose carefully organized world gets turned upside down when the mortifyingly handsome delivery guy shows up on his doorstep.

What follows is a deliciously awkward dance of missed connections, canceled dates, and a golden retriever named Cuddles who's made it her personal mission to destroy every piece of clothing Jeremiah owns. There's Chinese takeout that arrives at exactly the right moment, Disney movie marathons that feel more romantic than actual dates, and a five-year-old who might just be the world's most effective matchmaker.

But when you're falling for a single dad, nothing goes according to plan.

Between babysitter emergencies, adoption paperwork, and a dog that treats you like a chew toy, Jeremiah has to figure out if he's ready for the beautiful chaos of instant family life.

Perfect for fans of TJ Klune and Eli Easton who believe the best families are the ones you choose—even if they come with a five-year-old obsessed with pasta accessories.

Another little gem from Casey Morales in his ‘Heartstrings of Honour’ series. I’ve read them all now and I guess that we’ll have to wait a good while to see if Casey will continue with this great series. It is full of all the warm and fuzzy feels, delightful Princess Debbie age 5 is a show stealer. ‘Postie’ Jeremiah will pull your heartstrings to pieces, he is so fabulous to everyone, especially Mrs. Chen and her fearsome Retriever who enjoys nothing more that ripping Jeremiah’s shirt off, even before Librarian Theo gets a chance to do it. 🤭

All of the previous MC’s and their friends, including the notorious Mrs. H makes an appearance at Shane and Mateo’s nuptials, nearly stealing the show from Princess Debbie. Wonderful Uproar ensues at a wedding that will be remembered by all.

‘Postie’ did have its sobering side when a certain someone turns up out of the blue to cause serious difficulties for Theo. Reading ‘Postie’ and how magnificently Casey captured the character of a 5 year old little girl, and her fascination with dragons etc. I couldn’t help thinking how great a Dad he would be, or even if he did have such experience. He did an excellent job anyway.

I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving my review of it.

Underneath all the humour, pathos and emotion of this story lies the classic theme of love in all its scary and beautiful dimensions. Debbie the dragon princess, Cuddles the part time psycho golden retriever and two men, who all absolutely need love in all its glorious forms.
The high school research project episode is too hilarious. The kids rock.
The dragon protocols are numerous and weighty as are the solemn courtroom procedures to get the young princess adopted legally.
The villain is truly heinous, a horrible woman who thinks that the princess should be adopted by her, to satisfy her traditional beliefs.
Theo and Jeremiah make it through, as exceptional parents and people.
Thanks Casey!

I have just finished this wonderful book by Casey Morales. Jeremiah, Theo and Debbie are truly what a family should be. The return of characters from other books makes this a great read. Highly recommend.

Laugh out loud hilarious. There is more to Jer than a pretty body builder with a pretty face and Theo shows just how smart Jer really is. Add in a Sassy yet precocious self proclaimed Dragon Princess and you have a must read story you won’t want to put down.

The Postie by Casey Morales is the 5th book in his Heartstrings of Honor series. I suggest that you read the others first to learn about the characters (some of them are crazy!) that occur in this one and how they fit together in the story. This is about two men, a high school librarian with a daughter and a postal delivery guy from one of the big companies who both want connection and a family and find it with each other. Theo Jamison is the high school librarian who lives in Mt. Vernon and has a 5 year old daughter. He got Debbie when her parents were killed in an accident when she was 1 and no one in her family wanted her. They loved each other unconditionally and would always be together. Jeremiah Mikel is a postal delivery man and enjoyed meeting people and doing his job. He met Theo and Debbie after he had a run in with Cuddles, a vicious golden retriever, and then he delivered a package to their house instead of the one it was supposed to go to and when Debbie opened it, they discovered it was a female toy which Jeremiah covered up by saying you used it to make pasta. That is how he got his nickname of Willie Wee. Both Jeremiah and Theo were embarrassed but introduced themselves and then couldn’t get each other off their minds. Jeremiah tried to make up for it by bringing them an expensive whisk which leads to a kiss and then he runs away but he goes back and they plan a date. This is the start of many get togethers for them of which some Theo has to cancel because Debbie was sick or the babysitter couldn’t get there. Theo is worried that this will cause Jeremiah to not want to see him any more because his daughter has to come first, but Jeremiah is beginning to love Debbie and wants Theo and says he isn’t going anywhere. Jeremiah has been alone for several years. He’s not the smartest man but he’s kind and caring and wants a connection and most of all a family. He senses that maybe he can have this with Theo and Debbie. In the meantime, Jeremiah has a wonderful friend group that includes some clearly crazy people and 2 of them work at Theo’s school. They confront him about what his end game is with Jeremiah and soon bring him into their group. They are falling for each other when some issues come up, one with Theo adopting Debbie and another with Mrs. Chen who owns Cuddles. They work through these things and Jeremiah is especially helpful because he tells Theo he isn’t alone and means it. When Debbie is invited to an overnight birthday party, Theo invites Jeremiah over to his house for another kind of party which leads to an amazing dinner and a hot love scene. After some encouragement from Mrs. Chen and their friends they finally say I love you and know that when you find something good you hold onto it and they intend to do just that. They have become a family of 3 and are looking forward to the future together. I really enjoyed this book as I have all of the others in the series. There were times I was laughing out loud at some of the outlandish and sometimes embarrassing things that were happening to this couple. Theo was a wonderful man who loved Debbie with all his heart and always put her first, even if it meant he couldn’t be with anyone else. Jeremiah was kind and steadfast and knew almost from the beginning that he wanted to be with both of them and hopefully form the family he always wanted. Debbie was a very fun character and a typical 5 year old who wanted her way and bound them together as a family. Their friend group was often hilarious, caused chaos, and got into their business, especially Mrs. H., but they were there for them when they needed them. I highly recommend this book, especially if you like stories about a single dad who inherits his daughter and wants the best for her, a postal delivery guy who just wants to find a connection and a family that can love him for who he is, and some fun situations that bring them together so they can make their dreams of a family come true with lots of love.

THE POSTIE
By Casey Morales
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was supposed to read this as an E-book ARC edition of this novel in exchange for an honest review but was very late. It Is available NOW on Amazon & Kindle Unlimited! (cover created with AI)

This is a 493-page Fast Paced, Single Father, Himbo/Nerd, Instant Connection, Found Family, Rom-Com MM Romance. This is the fifth & final book in the Heartstrings Of Honor series that is best enjoyed if read in order as all characters are ensemble in each others novels.

Written in dual 1st person POV, this story starts off with a hot muscular blonde man with an embarrassing package incident at the wrong address. This kicks off an instant connection with not only the Father of the house, but also with the Dragon Princess that commands to have her tiara complimented.

Jeremiah is a postal worker with a third-party company and loves what he does because he gets to make connections along his routes. But he hasn’t had the best of luck in his personal life as all people see is a hot body with no brain. Theo is a librarian at the school and is a single father to his 5-year-old daughter Debbie, her royal highness Dragon Princess. Their life is going great with Theo thinking it couldn’t be any better except for the wish he could have a partner that he knows will never come true.

Jeremiah never knew what hit him. Never thinking he could be good enough to become a partner or a daddy to a child until the universe pulls him in to this duo of a family. It is a really sweet story about two men that won’t let the other talk bad about themselves, coming together to not only to complete a family but to care for others in their lives. It has humorous postal service stops and little girl chaos that keeps the plot moving as well as our found family fiascos that help complete the series and gives every one of our couples one final time to be together. I loved the ending for Jer, Theo & Debbie so much. It was so cute and the most perfect way to end their novel.

The spice is minimal! 1/5🌶. Don’t expect to see Jer’s hot body much… I mean, when you have a protective single father to a daughter… it doesn’t leave much time or chance to get down. But I was ok with this. This story wasn’t about that and didn’t need it. It was about being a family.

The ensemble all made appearances! Whether at the school since we now have 3 of them working there, at Mrs. His house or during the finale where the photographer couldn’t even keep up. This series gave careers a spotlight that normally don’t get noticed and not only made them interesting & funny, but gave them meaning.

The last book in the Heartstrings Of Honor series is really touching even with Rom-Com aspects. It show the true challenges of being a single parent, not only in the gay community, but in general. It didn’t gloss over it with fluffy content. I mean, fluffy content was included, but it didn’t take away from what is real. It also showed what the life of what a postie used to be like. You used to hear stories all the time of posties getting to know the people on their routes and doing good deeds all the time.  Not so much anymore. So this was a breath of fresh air all around.

💜Happy Reading🫶

“I think I’ve forgotten how to people. Dating is a foreign language.”
“Do what?”
“Date. Be a normal person who goes on dates with attractive men.”
“You think I’m attractive?”
“I think we should go inside before I say something even more embarrassing,”

The Postie by Casey Morales is the fifth book in the Heartstings of Honor series. It’s become my new favourite in it. Casey has this amazing way of writing that makes the characters feel so real, like friends you’d actually want to hang out with, share a coffee or a tea, and just relax in their warmth.

This book had me laughing, tearing up, and grinning like an idiot more times than I can count. Jeremiah and Theo’s story is so sweet and down-to-earth. From the moment Jeremiah gets ambushed by that menace of a dog, Cuddles, to all the adorable and chaotic moments with Debbie, I was totally hooked.

I totally fell for Jeremiah. He might not be the sharpest guy in the room, but his heart is huge, and he knows Theo is worth it. I loved how he goes all in, even when life threw them one setback after another at the start.

“You know, for a librarian, you’re really bad at maintaining a consistent narrative.”
“And for a delivery guy, you’re surprisingly good at literary analysis.”

What really got me is how real their relationship felt. It’s not smooth sailing, there are doubts, insecurities, and messy moments, but they keep showing up for each other. It’s love in the middle of everyday chaos, and it’s beautiful.

And the humour? Spot on. I found myself laughing a lot, but right after, Casey hits you with a moment that just melts your heart. The mix of comedy, tenderness, and found family vibes makes this story really special. Jeremiah and Theo totally deserve their HEA, and together with Debbie, they’ve become a beautiful family.

“Family. That was a punch to my chest.”

“This felt like we were building something, the three of us, something that mattered in ways I was still trying to understand.”

The Postie is warm, funny and full of love. It’s the kind of book that stays with you long after you’ve finished. The cameos were also enjoyable. Highly recommend this one.

I wish I knew what Casey Morales secret was, how he manages to write with such authoritative humour, with such honesty. Then again maybe I don't, if I knew that maybe the books wouldn't be so much fun. And this one? The Postie. It blew me away.

Not only is there a High School Librarian (someone I can relate to very precisely being one myself) but there is the delivery man, the evil, but really, deep down, truly friendly dog, the nosy neighbours, the even nosier friends and of course 5 year old Debbie! There are books, dinner dates with books, there are parcels, deliveries that are very much not meant to be for pasta and just so much more in this book.

It bursts with joy from the first. There are moments of tension, of not knowing how things will work out but this is the Heartstrings of Honor series. All our favourite characters are here and more besides. I loved getting to know Theo and Debbie, seeing Jer battle the latest attempt to get past the dog, discover what it could be like to date a librarian, battle to get legal custody and simply learn to navigate dating, friends, families and so much more besides.

Casey Morales describes a town, a neighbourhood, a school, a community that could be the one any of us live in. These could be the people we see every day and now we can imagine what their lives are like. That is what makes Casey Morales books so readable, they are so very real. They are also incredibly funny so keep the tissues nearby, you'll be needing them after all the laughter tears. Grab this one, grab the series and binge read. You'll catch up on the love lives of all the characters and not want to stop reading.

This is book #5 in Casey's "Heartstrings of Honor" series which focuses on all the hard-working regular guys out there that keep everything going for us. This time it's package-delivery stud Jeremiah (Jer) and Theo, the gay dad librarian at the local high school. This book can definitely be read stand-alone. There are lots of side characters from the earlier books, but Casey does a great job integrating them into the storyline so you don't feel lost. I CAN'T SAY THIS LOUD ENOUGH - THIS IS MY FAVORITE BOOK IN THE SERIES BY FAR.

You've read Casey's blub and enough other reviews, so I won't waste time rehashing the plot. This book is about all the gay dads out there - some with full custody and some that share custody. It's about how hard it is for them to form meaningful relationships since their kids come as part of the package. And how most gay guys back away from anybody that they have to "share." We get Theo's point of view (why would a hunk like Jer want me and the baggage my kid adds?). And we get Jeremiah's pov (who comes first, me or his kid?).

Casey does a masterful job of inter-twining both guy's perspectives into a really compelling love story that will have you laughing, crying, smiling, sighing, and turning the pages as fast as you can to see what happens next. There are plenty of bumps in the road, along with a precocious little 5-year-old girl, a homophobic relative villan, a great neighbor, wonderful friends, an insightful judge, and a golden retriever that keep things real. I gobbled this one up in two sittings. Guaranteed you will too. Get your hands on this one ASAP! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Postie by Casey Morales is the 5th book in the writers Heartstrings of Honor series of MM romances set in Atlanta Georgia USA. Where one of the male characters is doing things for the community.

In this case we have Theo who, as well as being a school librarian, is in the process of adopting his god child after the death of her parents.

With the love interest, being Jeremiah Milkel, a postie who only aim in life is to deliver the correct parcel to the correct address and not fall out with the local dogs.
.
The postie was a really enjoyable romance which did not forget about one of the couple being a single dad, as this really did affect a number of dates between the two of them.

The problem of being a single parent on the dating scene seemed to be a significant part of the romance, which is not always the case in single parent romance where being a parent affects just a couple of dates, but after that it is all plain sailing.

The only slight issue I have with The Postie, as a novel, is during the adoption scene it mentions Georgia not being the best state in the USA for being LGBT.

Which in the 5th book of novels was surprising as none of the previous novels even hinted at any issues of being LGBT in this US state. While I understand why the Writer Casey Morales did this in this situation and left it out in previous books from the series.

It just seemed to jar with the novel being a romcom, however this is only a little issue with this novel overall.

Making The Postie by Casey Morales well worth reading.

THE POSTIE

Okay, so there is Theo, the librarian with glasses, a cardigan, and hair that looks like Albert Einstein’s on a good day.
And he is also Debbie’s dad.
See Debbie is this adorable 5-year-old girl with missing front teeth and a huge love for dragons and unicorns. She also owns everyone’s hearts, even the dog next door, Cuddles, who’s not a fan of a certain package delivery man’s shirts.
But hey, who hasn’t had that dream with a hot delivery guy & ripping the shirt off with your teeth. Hahaha
And now there’s Jeremiah, or Jer, the package delivery man with blond hair, blue eyes, tanned skin, massive arms, chest & a Thor like body.
And how they met had me laughing so hard the page went blurry. See it all started when Jer accidentally delivered a package to the wrong address. And when the package was handed to Debbie it started moving & vibrating against the sides of the box. The with those tiny little fingers started tearing the box apart, asking if it was a puppy or a unicorn.
I started laughing so hard I nearly fell out of my chair.
Holding the vibrator above her head yelling for her dad to come & she what the nice man had brought. OMG LOL. You are going to die laughing when you read what happens next. I laughed for 2 days.
Oh, and then there’s Cuddles, the neighbor’s Golden Retriever, who has a particular fondness for ripping Jer's shirt off while he’s delivering packages. But seriously, who hasn’t had that same dream once or twice?
PpOMG, they have these friends that are so emotionally twisted that is too funny.

And that’s just the beginning of why I loved this book.

Who would have thought you can accidently deliver a vibrator to the wrong house and have a little girl open it only for you to realize your mistake and awkwardly meet her dad and eventually fall in love? Well Casey Morales showed that anything can happen when the right people are involved. Jeremiah is beautiful and one of the sweetest men in the world. I'm not too fond at how he's portrayed in some parts of the story and that he can be seen as air headed but I fell in love with him so much that I'll defend him to anyone! Lol He meets his oposite in Theo yet he's just his type. They don't meet in the most conventional way as Jerimiah shows us the dangers of delivery service especially when dogs get territorial but there's a spark right away. Now they can't stop thinking about each other but Theo has a little girl to take care of and dating with a young child isn't always ideal (ask me how I know). But from canceled dates to pivoting plans and dinners with Disney movies and snuggles on the couch Jeremiah proves that he's all in for the long haul. All Theo has to do is believe it. Together they navigate dating, sex and love and in the middle of it all you meet great friends (even when they meddle) and a life you never thought you could have. Jeremiah and Theo show how love can be patient, kind, understanding and safe as well as chaotic and stressful. But with the right person by your side the hard stuff seems that much more bearable.

Librarian in Love

This is part of a series featuring main characters who do physical labor (e.g., power lineman, carpenter, etc.). No billionaires or hidden royalty here! There is, however, a golden retriever who hates delivery people, an elderly neighbor plotting romance, and a high energy little girl with a penchant for dragons and tiaras.

Here, high school librarian Theo meets delivery person Jeremiah when a package gets misaddressed. Theo is always busy, managing to evade the teenage Lolita of the high school and parent his energetic 5 year old girl. He’s attracted to Jer, but sees no way to have a relationship and be a responsible parent. Jer has some self-esteem issues, but his circle of friends encourage him to pursue Theo. The relationship has difficulty getting off the ground because of Debbie getting sick in the middle of their first attempted date. Little does Theo know, though, that Jer admires Theo’s parental devotion.

Little by little, they manage to get to know one another better. Jer totally impresses Theo when Jer takes him to a special restaurant that’s also a sort of library/store of rare books. There are a number of sweet moments, including a wedding of characters from another book. The slow burn romance works, and the HEA is satisfying.

SO HEARTWARMING AND SWEET!💕

“And that it all started with a misdelivered vibrator and a golden retriever with anger management”

“A dog who lived across the street from the man I was falling for and his daughter, who’d stolen my heart. What in the world had I just gotten myself into?”

I really enjoyed this series, especially Jeremiah and Theo’s love story and heartfelt bonding with their precocious dragon princess- Debby!

“love isn’t about the risk of losing someone. It’s about building something together that’s stronger than fear.”

Oh I absolutely loved these two sweet, beautiful souls , and their dragon princess stole the show together with Cuddles- the golden retriever with anger management issues!

Mateo and Shane’s wedding chaos was amazingly beautiful with the chaos demons, Mrs H and dragon princess- Debby adding entertainment to the mix with hints to Jer and Theo’s anticipated future…

A court case, prejudice, dog shenanigans, sweet, cunning old ladies matchmaking, Mrs H’s Haggis, chosen family all wrapped up in sweet chaos, laughter and steam!

A sweet, endearing epilogue will follow with tearful moments!

I want to introduce you to the Heartstrings of Honor series, book 5. This delightful saga features some of the most eccentric characters you'll ever encounter, including Jeremiah and Theo, who set the perfect stage for hilarity.

Theo is an intelligent librarian, doing his best to balance fatherhood with his work while raising his spirited 5-year-old daughter. On the flip side, we have Jeremiah, the lovable but not-so-bright package delivery guy. Their worlds collide most embarrassingly when a mistaken delivery leads to a cascade of comedic moments that keep the pages (or rather, the hearts) racing!

While the laughs may come quickly and abundantly, the story navigates deeper emotions of self-doubt and affection. As the usual cast of characters makes their raucous appearances, they add further chaos, weaving together a narrative brimming with love and family ties. In the whimsical world of Heartstrings of Honor, each misadventure brings our characters closer to their happy endings, ensuring that readers will have plenty to chuckle about—and root for!

This series masterfully blends humor with heartfelt emotion, and Jeremiah and Theo's journey is one you won’t want to miss.

Do not read in public. I laughed so hard, I startled my dog. I cried as well, and all within a few pages of each other, so unless you want to look like an insane person, do not read this book in public. I loved the pace, how their love is built over time, over little things, with acceptance of each other. They help the other be better, and it’s a beautiful journey to behold. I loved how Willie Wee (yes, that’s what he’s called) loves Theo and his dragon princess, and adapts to fit their lives. I loved how he took a risk with Theo, and how well it paid off. I loved how Theo accepted his postie for who he his, not simply because he looks amazing, and appreciates his incredibly big and tender heart, and takes such good care of it. I love Mrs. H and the gang, I wish she would adopt me into her ragtag family, and we could cook disasters together. And Mrs. Chen is gold! This book is full of those little monumental moments that create a solid foundation for a lasting love. And I an have been part of this journey.

This story had me laughing one minute and crying the next and then laughing some more. And I loved every minute. It opens with Jeremiah trying to deliver packages and being assaulted by a dog named Cuddles. Cuddles destroys Jer's uniform, and it's not the first time. Next Jer delivers to the house across the street where a 5 year old rips the package open only for Jer to realize the package was meant for another house. I'm just going to say I'm going to giggle uncontrollably every time I hear "pasta maker." The child's father appears and cleans up the scratches that Cuddles left, while eyeing the hot delivery driver. And this is just the beginning.

Characters from other books in the series appear. Theo, a librarian in a high school, dodges students who want to flirt. There's a wedding. There's also bagpipes, tatties and neeps and haggis. So much is packed into this book and I was thoroughly entertained. Watching Jer and Theo fall in love was lovely. And steamy.

This book was well written, unpredictable and lovely.

Video and Jeremiah are the cutest. When I read coach, I had hoped for more Jeremiah. So I was delighted to be able to read his story. I think the love that they have for each other and for Debbie is delightful and heartwarming and gooey. I love that they stop each other from being self deprecating And only ever strive to lift the other up. At one point, Jeremiah thinks to himself “this was exactly what I’ve been hoping for not perfection, but something real and warm and absolutely, uniquely us“ and I think that is the most accurate description of their story. It is uniquely them. It’s not perfect, but there’s no questioning that it is real and them. I love the supporting people in their lives. Something that we have met previously and other books in this series and some that are brand new. I absolutely loved this book and I am so glad that I had a chance to read it.

Postie (Heartstrings of Honor Book 5) tells how Theo and Jeremiah meet and how their relationship builds within the Heartstrings of Honor universe. They are surrounded by the characters from the earlier books plus Theo’s ‘daughter’ Debbie, Mrs Chen and her evil dog Cuddles. Postie stands up well on its own but having read the previous books does work in a reader’s favour.

Jeremiah is the postie in the title and Theo is the librarian at the same school Mateo and Mike from two of the earlier books work. Their first meeting revolves around a wrong delivery and results in Jeremiah being nicknamed Willie Wee by Debbie. They go on to date and support each other as Theo goes about adopting Debbie, his niece, who he is guardian to.

The book is full of heart, sass and humour with fun characters and a few moments where the outcome my be uncertain. All in all a great read.

This book is an ode to love, family, and... dragon princesses! If you love dragons, this book is perfect for you. You'll discover all there is to know about dragon princesses from the foremost expert on the subject, Miss Debbie!

I loved discovering Jeremiah in this book. We get to know him a little in the previous volume of this series. And it's a pleasure to find him in his own story and see him fall in love at first sight with Debbie and Theo

----

This was not my favourite book in the series but it still a really good read. There are lots of people who disagree with me so obviously I am in a minority.
I think that my main problem was that I really didn't identify with the characters. The book actually had everything that I wanted but it just missed the mark as far as I am concerned. I loved the idea of a single dad who is a high school librarian, the postie who gets into all sorts of trouble with the dog and the dog itself.
The book has the single dad who has to fight for his child when he is trying to adopt. The child, by the way, is actually the daughter of his late best friend and her husband who were killed in an accident. He wants to adopt but the evil aunt is objecting. This is only a minor part of the story, by the way.
I will continue to read books by Casey as he tells a good story and he knows how to tell it.
Recommended.

The Postie completely won me over with its mix of heartfelt moments and lighthearted rom-com charm. Theo, a librarian raising his five-year-old goddaughter, was an instant favorite, and the scene where he asks her opinion about adopting her was absolutely gut-wrenching. We see plenty of proposals in romance novels, but a godfather asking a child if he can become her parent? That moment hit hard and stayed with me.

The overall tone, though, is warm and funny. Jeremiah, the delivery man, and Cuddlies the golden retriever are a comedy duo I didn’t know I needed—Cuddlies chasing Jeremiah and leaving him showing up at Theo’s door with a half-torn shirt was hilarious. Theo's and Jeremiah's awkward first meetings and slowly growing chemistry were adorable to follow.

This is an easy, feel-good MM rom-com with a single-dad trope that doesn’t overcomplicate things. A genuinely enjoyable, sweet read.

Jeremiah Mikel, a delivery guy with a simple routine and a knack for dodging angry dogs, finds himself tangled in the beautiful chaos of Theo’s world. Theo, a single dad and high school librarian, is meticulous and reserved—until Jeremiah crashes into his life with a smile, a golden retriever named Cuddles, and a trail of chewed-up clothing. It’s messy, hilarious, and deeply tender. The five-year-old matchmaker steals the show, and Cuddles deserves her own spin-off. But beneath the comedy is a story about choosing love even when it’s inconvenient, unpredictable, and wrapped in adoption paperwork. Jeremiah doesn’t just fall for Theo—he falls for the whole package: the kid, the dog, the chaos. And Theo learns that love doesn’t have to be perfectly planned to be perfectly right. This book is a warm hug, a belly laugh, and a gentle nudge to embrace the unexpected.

‘Daddy, look what the mailman brought us!’ – A warmly wonderful novel!

Florida author Casey Morales sails forth again with this clever (and hot and hardy) novel THE POSTIE - a romance between a delivery man (Jeremiah) and a single dad (Theo) and a superb cast of unexpect4d treasures! Casey’s magical way of arresting attention with just a few lines is evident even as the book opens: ‘I was twenty feet from freedom when Cuddles sank her teeth into my shirt and tried to drag me down like a gazelle in a nature documentary. “Let go, you ribbon-wearing hellbeast!” I shouted, bolting up the cobbled walkway with the town’s most deceptively named golden retriever snarling and frothing behind me, her not-so-precious teeth latched onto the back hem of my uniform shirt.’ A winner on every level. This book is rich in hilarious moments and in the terrific tension that builds relationships.

We’re back in the Heartstrings of Honour world, this time with beefcake postman Jeremiah and the nerdy librarian Theo.

This follows in the same vein as the prior books, wordy and descriptive with some really sweet and emotional moments too. And of course - the humour.

Jeremiah’s a giant teddy bear. I loved his vulnerability and his emotions. Theo’s geeky and cute. I loved these two together and the inclusion of a precocious 5 year old.

The usual crew from the earlier books is here, though I didn’t find the humour worked as well with this instalment as it did in the 2nd and 4th. But there are some new characters that also bring some frivolity and it is a fun read.

A good addition to the series.

In true Casey Morales spirit. This was supreme.
All the banter, nervous rambeling and sweet moments makes the characters come alive. I love that about his writing and It's exciting when I know there is a book of his to get lost in.
This was sweet and hilarious and the characters are so adorable.
Jeremiah, a deliveryman and Theo, a single dad, library worker and history lover meets over a delivery gone wrong. It leaves both men embarrassed, laughing with sparks in their eyes. This read is full of missed connections, but also happy moments with a sweet princess, disney movies, meals eaten together, memories made and two wonderful men finding a happily ever after.
And don't forget Cuddles who makes life very exciting or expensive.
If you want to know more about Shane and Mateo, check out "Coach" which is another wonderful read worth your time.

Jeremiah Mikel is a big golden retriever Gym Bro package delivery guy. A delivery to the wrong address brings him face to face with nerdy high school librarian Theo and his adorable daughter. Jeremiah falls head over heals with them both. Theo doesn’t believe such a gorgeous guy could ever be interested in him, especially when he is raising a precocious five year old and has no time for dating. The rest of the story is a dance of all that could go wrong and those special right moments.
The Postie is book five in the Heartstrings of Honor series which features five gay couples finding their HEA. Slow-burn, laugh-out-loud MM contemporary romance packed with hurt/comfort, found family, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after. The couples carry over in the stories, but all can be read as standalones.

Jeremiah, the hunky, golden retriever of a postman tried to deliver a toy of the carnal type to Theo, the high school librarian and his adorable 5 year old daughter. Mistaken address but awkward first impression. Both tongue tied, but stumbling in words and captivated by the other. I enjoyed their fumbling attempts to date. The daughter, Debbie is funny with gems like "you look like you are trying to poop!" You fall in love with the " glitter-covered postal fairy" and the overwhelmed, insecure librarian Daddy. It's a warm, romantic, enchanting, completely lovable treasure of a book that will become a favorite. I can't get enough of this series and all the characters, Casey excels at these contemporary stories. I received a copy of this through BookSprout and this is my voluntary opinion.

All the stars!!!

Oh my gosh, this book is hilarious!! I’d give it 100 stars if I could! From the very. First. Page, I laughed my butt off! It’s the fifth book in the Heartstrings of Honor series and I’ve loved every single one but this one far and away outshines the others and, if you’ve read any of them so far, you know that’s not an easy thing to do. I honestly don’t know how Mr. Morales is gonna top this one but I wouldn’t have thought he could top any of the others either but look where we are now!

This can totally be read as a standalone so PLEASE start here but then make sure that you go back and read the others too because you definitely don’t want to miss out on this series, it’s SO. GOOD!! All the stars!!!.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The best of the series in my opinion

What a wonderful story in this series. I really loved Jeremiah’s introduction in Coach and truly appreciated his expanded story here. The introduction of Theo and Debbie and their first meeting with Jeremiah will be forever etched in my brain - talk about absolutely priceless! The slow build of their romance and appreciation for each other was an aspect that I really enjoyed. Mrs. Chen and Cuddles were wonderful supporting characters in their story. The through line with Theo’s and Debbie’s story - how he came to be the father of this precocious 5 year old with her dragon and unicorn fascination - was a great part of the book. I enjoyed this one so much I almost wish there was a follow up focusing on this group of characters as their future unfolds. A guy can wish!
