Chris Wright thought he finally had it all figured out.
He’s moved into a new home, his relationship with Mia and Zooey is solid, and the movie adaptation of his debut novel is finally in production. Then he meets the actress playing the lead role.
She’s quiet, mysterious, and impossible to pin down—and her arrival brings with it a request that throws Chris completely off balance. What starts as a simple introduction quickly spirals into something deeper, something stranger… something he never saw coming.
Now, with new responsibilities piling up and his carefully balanced life starting to tilt, Chris finds himself caught in another story—one he didn’t write, but might change everything.
The second story was a little better than the first, so when I saw this while searching for other reads I thought maybe I'd try it after all.
When you're worrying an intimate scene, it's important to remember where everyone is positioned, especially if it's more than two people involved. I had to go back and re-read a part twice before I realized no, I didn't read it wrong, the author described something anatomically impossible.
Part of me bent I should just remove it from the library and not leave a review, but honestly I hope the author fixes it, but for myself, but for wanting to do better.
As I noted in my review of book 1 and book 2, I think the series is experiencing a bit of an odd shift. While book 1 was very cozy and slice-of-life, book 2 had more conflict and stress, and book 3 goes even further.
There's a lot of angst, uncertainty, doubt, misunderstandings, etc., a lot of it coming from the protagonist. And while that's understandable and in some ways relatable, it makes for a very different sort of story.
It's still fun, there's a happy ending, it's fine. But it feels like it belongs in a different series to book 1, and I didn't enjoy it quite as much.
I waited to review this until I finished all 3. Enjoyable easy read with a very likable MC. We should be as lucky to surround ourselves in any situation with people who work together like this. All relationships are not this smooth, but it gives us all a sense of awareness of what we do and how it affects those around us
JT Knight gives us an inspiring tale that’s so realistic as a slice of life romance that when I’m reading the story I can actually see myself as Chris; then I wake up realizing I have experienced a GREAT read!!! On to part 4 hoping this story will continue so I can vicariously live this “slice of life”.
Another great entry into the series. Conflict made sense like it happens. Burning the candle at both ends, and being stubborn are just things people do. Cant wait for more! 100 more books!
I really liked all the subplots in the book. They made it feel very real, and Echo was an amazing addition to the group. I look forward to the next one!
The series is a good.read ,some.pf.the characters did.not have.much background. I did enjoy the most pf.the story.as.itmwas.well.written but I have.to.say that I have never in my 80/Years seen so many people.with negative.feelings about themselves, especially then main male.character . He had so.much negativity he could have been the destruction of the series .......read the story ,if you think.you have it bad read this one . He is up then down . He is actually smart a.D t!enter but no matter wht he does he can't do d faith in his self .After 3 ,I am not sure if I will.read the 4th,. This guy will die wondering why he can't be as good as everyone thinks he is
