There are some events so special or so sacred that only a white dress or a white shirt should be worn. In these two new gift books, White Dresses and White Shirts, author Deborah Rowley shares the tender experiences of a dad and his daughter or son during the most memorable events in a family’s life. From baby blessing to baptism to entering the House of the Lord (and, for boys, receiving the Aaronic Priesthood), including many spiritual experiences in between, these picture books will allow parents and their children to reflect upon the importance of sacred ordinances and look forward to the time when families can be together forever.
This book is about the white shirts a young man wears in our church at his blessing, baptism, wedding, on a mission and receiving the priesthood/passing the sacrament. The illustrator is married to a distant cousin on my mother's side. I think it's quite good and I teared up at the end as well.
