Firstly I FCKING LOVE Sin and Kacey. I can’t even tell you how many times I LOL’d at their banter and witty comebacks. Their chemistry was off the charts! Who doesn’t want to be dominated and spanked by the hot FBI agent (am I right!?)
Secondly the twist. Let’s discuss that (sort of- coz no spoilers!!) Ok Sam, seriously!! you have some explaining to do. I did not see that coming. I was not prepared. My heart was not ready! Here’s me sobbing at 3am and now
I can’t go back to sleep.
I hate you…wait no I don’t. Just stop breaking my heart…not really keep Going because WE LOVE IT!!🤣🤣🤣

You get an insight into Sin and why she is so guarded with men. She loved Conner and that he didn’t know who she was, before everything fell apart.
Sin is definitely bad a$$ she knows what she’s doing will not only hurt her family but also the Memento Mori, but she will do anything to save her family.
When it comes out what Sin is doing, she knows her life is on the line, she cards Conner/Kacey determined to kill him, but she just can’t do it.
You see just how close the bonds are with the Memento Mori, and Sin who only has ever wanted her father’s approval, makes sure he knows that she’s grown up now and can handle things on her own.
Everyone thinks that Kacey has a death wish because Sin has unalived people for less and no one understands why he isn’t terrified of her, Kacey sees the side that no one else does, he sees the woman that is his world and loves him, they just have to make it through everything alive.

Well here is my review and honestly i don’t even know where to start 🥲
This book was incredible and an emotional rollercoaster you’ll definitely need some tissues 😶
But you’ll love this especially if you love this tropes:

Tropes:
•Mafia
•enemies to lovers
•badass FMC

So the story starts of with a flashback from the pov of Chanel aka “Sin”🤭
I love that we get to read this right at the beginning because this shows us why she is “sin” and why she is the way she is 🤭
Also you’ll get to read about a incredible hot and fantastic Love😮‍💨😮‍💨
I’ll tell you one thing … the Love interest is a FBI agent 🤭😮‍💨
As we know Sin is the daughter of a “Mafia man”, she’s trying her hardest to live up to her father and show him that she’s also capable to do badass things , well as I mentioned she is a real badass woman🖤
also there are some really good plots so be ready read a very captivating but also kind of heartbreaking story…

I’m broken……

OMG I don’t even know where to begin with this book. Sin isn’t the only one broken, I am too. This is definitely a rip your heart out book.

Once again we are shown the true loyalty between Royal, Sin, Havoc and Chaos. From the get go they’ve got each others back. Poor Son is heart broken after losing the love of her life a few year prior for him to return again. Only this time he is here to stay and prove his worth. I love how Kacey fights for Sin and stands up against the family. Unfortunately this book took a turn I 100% did not see coming and to say I shed tears is an understatement. I won’t spoil it but heartbreak comes and boy it comes hard. I felt like I’d actually lost someone too. I think this has to be one of my favourite books by Samantha, she just wrote it with perfection. I cannot wait for the next book, talk about leave us on a cliff hanger….

Warning you should go and buy the biggest box of tissues before reading this book because you will need them.
Wow where do I start? I was prepared to hate this book, as personally I didn’t like Chanel, but by the end I was reeling but so in love with the book. I thought I had it worked out for the plot twist but I was knocked over by the incident that happens. I was literally bawling like a baby. My heart still hurts.
I honestly didn’t think Samantha could write any better but with each book the stories just keep getting better. What is better than amazing? Perfection, Sammy you are one of my most favourite authors xxx
I still think we should be able to rate higher than 5 stars, 10 ⭐️ is more likely. I honestly can’t wait for the last book in this series.

Ok, so this book did a major number on me emotionally!!! But I couldn't put it down. Make sure to have plenty of tissues handy.

Sin is definitely one of my favourite characters so far. I loved that her story was outside of the box just like her. We know that she can kick butt but it was nice to see the other side of her as well, where she let her guard down.

Oh, I really did fall in love with Kacey even though he makes some stupid decisions at times. His character also goes through quite a lot & I loved seeing him accept that the world may not be as black & white as he thought.

Some of the tropes/themes in this book are:

*Mafia
*Hidden Identity
*Grief
*Enemies to Lovers

I was shocked by the twists & turns this story took & can not wait for the next book!!!

I was fortunate to receive an advance copy of this book, and this is my honest opinion.

I can't remember a book that has made me actually ugly cry in a long time. Samantha Barrett wrecked me.
Sin is such a bada$$, and to be able to run with 3 very strong men and hold her own is impressive. Not to mention living up to her dad, the Bloodhound. I loved this book, and if you love a good Mafia read, then you will too!!

WOW! Just WOW!  What a book.  I have loved every one of the Murdoch Mafia series and didn't think this author could write any better, but I was so wrong.  The new Memento Mori series (the Murdoch Mafia second generation) is excellent and Broken by Sin, well let's just say the characters weren't the only ones left broken by the end of this book!
The main female character, Sin, wasn't particularly one of my favourites in previous books, she was hard, always with a point to prove, however her history is slowly unravelled as she becomes confused and broken when her father discovers her secret, in the form of her first love and FBI agent, Kacey who is trying to extract information from her.
Sin is dragged through so many emotional relationships throughout, from wanting to protect her mother, proving her loyalty to Royal and the twins, trying to obtain approval from her father whilst also juggling the emotional baggage and undeniable attraction and passion with Kacey.  I loved how Sin's character developed and the choices she made throughout this well written book, this mafia princess has a great moral compass.
Kacey is the reluctant FBI agent who remains head over heels in love with Sin, always trying to protect her, even when he was betrayed by both the FBI and his family.  Naturally FBI and Mafia relationships don't work and I love how Kacey slowly begins to trust and work with Sin's family to try and put the pieces of various puzzles together - when he works out some clues, Sin's family are more jealous than grateful!
There was a small amount of humour in this book, particularly when Kacey's two friends Xavier and Romeo were around and the passion and steam between our two main characters was excellent, Sin may be tough to the outside world but behind closed doors, it's another story! I also enjoyed the inclusion of the first generation, it was just the circumstances surrounding them getting together that was beyond sad.  I don't want to give away any spoilers but OMG, the heartbreak was unbelievable - I can't remember the last time I cried so much during a book.
The only disappointment you will have is if you don't read this book - it is beyond 5 stars.
Now I understand the title of the next book 'In Havoc lays Chaos' and I can't wait.

Let me just say this one is heartbreaking and I'm still not ok after that cliffhanger! Book Hangover Is Epic!

Wow, Samantha Barrett did a phenomenal job on this one with the twists and heartbreak making this an unputdownable read. I feel like I was punched in the gut on this one. I may have shed quite a few tears also. This book just hits differently than the rest.

I loved Sin/Chanel and how you see the array of emotions she actually has behind the cold-hearted mask she normally wears as the underboss of the Memento Mori. She is the perfect mix of her parents and her take-no-prisoner attitude has served her well in her job, but when it comes to the one man she should take out has her doubting herself now. She's a dominant enforcer but when it comes to Kasey she's submissive and lets him control her and her body in the bedroom. With the fear of her family finding out she's betrayed them for their enemy has her becoming a different person. With her lies exposed and her heart on the line, we watch this chaotic love story unfold and leave a few tragedies in its wake.

Kasey was a surprise character that I wasn't sure if I liked or loathed but as his story played out I couldn't help but love him by the end. Yes, he was manipulative at times but it was his way of keeping Chanel safe. He also fell hard for her and it broke in ways he wasn't prepared for which leads him back into her life and has him questioning if he can be the man she deserves. With all the tragedies they face, they find an undeniable bond that is worth the pain and unknown to face together.

If you need a mafia book that is action-packed, full of heart-pounding twists, spicy moments, and an emotional rollercoaster this is the book. Yes, it ends on a cliffhanger that will have you ready for the next one immediately. This was definitely a top 2023 read for me and probably the best book so far in this series. I'm still feeling the book hangover and heartbreak from this one so I definitely need the next to mend me that's for sure. Grab this book because it's truly phenomenal and will tear your heart out at times but leaving you wanting more.

Overall: 5+/☆☆☆☆☆

Review:

Broken by Sin by Samantha Barrett is a dark, emotionally charged romance that delves into the complexities of power, trust, and vulnerability. Barrett masterfully weaves a tale where the boundaries between love and obsession blur, creating a story that is as compelling as it is intense.

The quote, "Hate me all you want, Chanel, but you can't deny that I am the only one who you submit to willingly. You will let me do anything I want behind closed doors because you trust me to put you back together after I break you apart," perfectly captures the raw and tumultuous dynamic between the lead characters. Their relationship is a delicate dance between dominance and surrender, with trust as the fragile thread holding them together. The hero’s dark, unapologetic confidence contrasts with the heroine’s inner conflict, creating a dynamic that’s equal parts seductive and dangerous.

Barrett excels at exploring the emotional complexity of a relationship built on power and submission, while also highlighting the importance of trust. The intensity of the characters’ connection is palpable, making every interaction feel charged with tension. The hero’s ability to break the heroine down emotionally, only to build her back up, underscores the fragile yet deeply intimate bond they share.

While the novel is filled with steamy moments, it’s the emotional depth that really stands out. Barrett isn’t afraid to explore the darker sides of love, where pain and passion intertwine, and where healing can only come through vulnerability. The characters are flawed, but that’s what makes their journey so engaging—they are both searching for redemption, even if it’s through unconventional means.

Overall, Broken by Sin is a gripping, intense romance that isn’t for the faint of heart. If you enjoy stories that dive deep into power dynamics, emotional vulnerability, and dark passion, this book will keep you hooked from beginning to end.

Sin is Still a Baddie

Without giving anything away, I'll just say I did not see that ending coming...

Broken by Sin is book 2 of Memento Mori, and continues where book 1 (Reign of Royal) ended.

Sin has been given no choice but to work with the FBI. Considering she's the underboss to the Memento Mori, the new mafia that runs Miami, saying this is bad would be an understatement.

It definitely doesn't help that Connor, the man she fell in love with in college, is her handler.

Sin has always come across as a bad bitch, with a take no prisoners attitude. She's fiercely loyal and has walls around her heart so high, that only her family has ever been let in... until Connor.

Connor is a damn good agent, never compromising his morals, until he fell in love with Sin. And even then, it's a struggle.

The push and pull, love/hate relationship they have is a driving force in this story. I love that both characters stay true to who they are, and when that becomes too much, you can feel their pain and struggle.

It's hard not to say too much without giving anything away. However there is one last thing that I have to mention that I really enjoyed. Typically, for me anyway, when you have a series of books, where each book follows a different character, I find the characters from the previous book annoying. It often feels like those previous characters have become love-drunk and lost every aspect of their individual personality. That is not the case here. Royal is still very much I'm love with Erika, and it shows, however the essence of his character has not changed. He hasn't gone soft and he is still, very much, the Don.

I absolutely enjoyed this book, even though it made me cry. I'd almost say it was better than the first, but that's a tough call. Can't wait for book 3.

Chanel, aka Sin, has always come across as unfeeling, uncaring, and hard. Erika called her out in Reign of Royal, and we get to see the full extent of her feelings in Broken by Sin. Her family is all Chanel has ever known, and the one time she lets her walls down and trusts someone, he turns out to be her family's enemy—a federal agent.
This book was an emotional rollercoaster as we learned more about Chanel and also the fallout of her relationship as she tried to come to terms with the fact that she'd betrayed her family but that she still loved Kacey. I loved the character growth that Royal showed in this book, having Chanel's back and standing up for her feelings rather than just how she should act towards her family. The relationship between Chanel and Kacey isn't easy at all, and there are a lot of difficulties to overcome from all angles: the agency, the family, and themselves. But this book made her seem more human, and we got to experience the pressure she felt to make her dad proud, to succeed, and to be an integral part of the Memento Mori. Kacey also realises that the Murdochs might not be the villains they were portrayed to be.
The author did such a great job with the storyline and the characters; there were so many layers and levels to the characters that even those closest to them, like Royal and the twins to Sin, were shocked by her behaviour because she was showing vulnerability, something unusual for her.
This book ended with heartbreak, and I'm honestly unsure how I feel about it. Samantha Barrett pretty much ripped my heart out and stamped on it when it came to how the book finished, and it has left me both eager for the next book as I want to see it play out but reluctant as I don't want the series to end.

Yet again Samantha Barrett has out done her self with another tear dropping, heart stopping, sitting on the edge of your seat book. Broken by Sin is my all time favorite so far like I knew it would be. Where to even start. I want to say how much of a bad ass Sin is. Even with growing up with all the men around it never mad her back down from anyone or any challenge. She is the type of women who loves with all her heart and is loyal to a T. Her and Connors/Kacey's love story is one that had my heart beating out of my chest the whole time reading. How ever, I did get a little mad at her father and Royal for being such a hypocrite when they found out she finaly gave her heart to someone and fell in love/still loves him. Vicent fell in love with her mother and she was his mark to kill and Royal fell in love with his families enemy. Now yes he's a fed and lied but you can't help who your heart wants and their hearts wanted eachother. Now towards the end of the book in the fighting scene your gonna want to grab them tissue because I know I balled, BALLED my eyes out with the twist that was thrown in there. I have a funny feeling that Chaos is going to fall in love in his book. Hands down the best book out of this series. I can't wait to see what the next brings. Another phenomenal job done by this amazing writer.

When Chanel first started university she met Conor. She was madly in love with him until she discovered that he was an undercover FBI agent. He broke her heart and hardened her to anyone and anybody
Two years later and in the war against the Albanians, the FBI’s case and imprisonment of some key players, are in jeopardy.
Conor’s been forced to bring Chanel in to flip or the evidence they have against her mother and her family will be used against them. He isn’t doing any of this willingly and when he sees the images that Chanel has been sent, he’s convinced that they have a mole in his unit.
What Chanel didn’t realise was that her father had followed her to the meet. He is furious. She’s committed the ultimate sin against her own family. He will not listen to what’s going on, just insists that she turns the tables on him.
When Conor agrees to meet with Chanel at her request, two of his best friends. Xavier and Romeo turn up at the same bar. Believing that she’s his girlfriend, they fill Chanel in on allsorts of family information including his real name, Kelsey.
When Chanel warns Kelsey that the Albanians are about to make a move on both his brother, who was imprisoned during the Albanian raid, as well as his parents and younger brother, he desperately rings his partner Benny to get his brother placed into solitary. Chaos helps to move the rest of his family into hiding.
The Albanians are using their mole in the FBI to see that the wrong people get the blame. The war is nowhere near over and both the Memento Mori and the Murdoch’s are involved.
In amongst all of this chaos and corruption, is the fact that the chemistry between Kelsey and Chanel is still through the roof. He’s still in love with her and losing her is one of his biggest regrets. Chanel has never gotten over Kelsey and working together has just brought all her feelings flooding back. But mob and FED’s don’t mix….
This was a fantastic, fast moving, and heartbreaking follow up to Royal’s book. Both generations are interwoven but it’s the Memento Mori that are really making waves.
Chanel and Kelsey’s relationship is so wrong but their chemistry is off the charts. They are both still deeply in love and have to battle more than the Albanians if a relationship can survive.
A fabulous follow up.

This book was sinfully delicious! When I first started this book I did not think that Sin and Conner(Kasey) could measure up to Royal and Erika. I loved Royal and Erika and their interactions in Reign of Royal. And I admired how tough Sin was but she always showed the underboss side of herself and I didn't like how she treated Erika. After reading Broken by Sin, I think Sin and Kasey are one of my favorite book couples ever! Their banter and chemistry is incredible and they balance each other. Kasey recognizes that Sin is a total baddie and let's her handle her business as the underboss and take charge when needed. But when they are alone Sin let's her guard down and shows her more tender and submissive side. Kasey is used to always being in charge, following the rules, and that everything is black and white. Sin shows him that everything is not always how it appears and the bad guys are not always who you think they are. There is a major plot twist near the end that left me a heartbroken, sobbing, inconsolable mess but it does set us up for the next book. I loved this book, it was action packed and had amazing characters with incredible chemistry. If you have not read the books in the Memento Mori series you are seriously missing out!

Very well done and engaging story

Argh! This story was engaging and entertaining and well done. It had lots of twists and turns as they deal with betrayal and where things leave them. We see Sin struggling with her decisions and the man that broke her heart and figuring out what to do once they figure out who he is and what he does for a living. She was doing her best to protect her family and not give up much information but still a problem because she didn’t tell anyone. There is action and intrigue as they are tracking down the Albanians and the mole in the FBI that is coming after the Murdochs. Kacey has to figure out what he really wants and where his lines really are. I enjoyed watching the two of them come together and work it out but it is not an easy road. This story is definitely on the darker side as it is a mafia family story so it has murder and torture as a main part of it. I loved how Sin is such a strong female character and that the men all respect the women in the family. I loved getting to catch up with the other family members throughout this book. There is a huge twist at the end of the story and it definitely twists your heart and makes it hurt. Need the next one to see how it’s all brought back.

Cue the applause! 👏

WARNING! Box of tissues- MANDATORY!

Wow! This book wrecked me in the very best way. Love and heartbreak, loyalty and betrayal- you’re going to feel them all! Samantha’s creative mind never fails to keep me on the edge of my seat and coming back for more and this book is no exception! Just when you think you’ve got it figured out….. BAM! I can truly say none of Samantha’s books have ever played out like I think they will and that’s what I love most about this author.

I know I say it every time, but this is the best one yet! Chanel is my new favorite girl. She loves so hard and is fiercely protective of those she cares about. She goes after what she wants and she isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty like the big boys. I love that she is never intimidated or deterred by them and has the top spot by their side, which she has 110% rightfully earned!

If you’re looking for your next top read, THIS IS IT! Buckle up, because you’re in for one rollercoaster ride of emotions!

Storyline ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Main characters:
Chanel aka Sin- princess to the Murdoch Mafia and underboss to Memento Mori.
Kasey Vaughn aka Connor. FBI agent. Undercover when he meets MFC

I was not a fan of Chanel in Royals book. Just gave me weird creepy vibes on why she was so protective of her cousin. After reading the prologue- I felt for her. I mean she’s had to work twice as hard to prove herself in their world and the first time she lets her guard down she feels like she was used.

I love that both next generation stories have been similar/parallel with their parents own stories. Royal and Erika was enemies to lovers like bishop/kiera and both women ended up being heirs to some type of mafia/cartell. Kasey/chantel are informant/fed and Vincent/carlina were similar that Vincent was supposed to hunt and kill carlina.

I loved that Erika was there for Chanel when she definitely didn’t have too due the way she was treated by Chanel but their friendship turned out to be an amazing addition to this book.

The fact that we get to see Chanel really come into her own and know what/who she wants was amazing. It was also amazing to see her soften with Kasey. While this book was amazing, a part of this book broke me and hopefully Choas’ book can put me back together.

I loved getting to revisit with each of the original Murdoch family members.

If you love Kylie Kent then do not sleep on Samantha Barrett.

I received an ARC copy of this book.

I have absolutely no words to describe this book!!! Broken By Sin is book 2 in the Memento Mori series and was it heavy.

Broken by Sin gives Rook a run for his money. After reading Ruined by the Rook (Murdoch Mafia book 6) I didn’t think Samantha could break me. But then she said hold my cup and wrote this book and let me tell you this one broke me down!!

Sin and her guy wow. It’s refreshing to see the MMC get weak in his knees. Sin is a boss babe. The girl can play in the league with the boys and she does it well. Like I said this story was heavy. The story was dark but it made me fall for this family even more. The loyalty they all have for each other is something else.

But then Samantha decided to give us an ending we are not prepared for. I wanted to yell and hug her at the same time. It was pure genius….but totally unexpected. I balled my eyes out!!!

I’ve read enough books that Samantha has published to know they just get better and better. I cannot wait for book 3!!

Broken by Sin focuses on Chanel and why she became so cold-hearted. Two years ago, she fell in love with this guy Connor, who she met at college, who just so happens to be an undercover FBI agent named Kasey. When she finds out he's been lying and is supposed to kill him, she realizes she can't do it and walks out of his life. She gave him all her firsts, and he betrayed her. She vowed to never open up to a man like that again....fast forward to present, Kasey has incriminating evidence on Chanel's mother and essential blackmails her into helping him find a mole in the FBI.

What an emotional Rollercoaster Chanel and Kasey are. Chanel's heartbreak hit me HARD. She is such a badass character and tries so hard to prove herself in a male dominated profession.

Fair warning at the end, YOU WILL CRY! 😭

I feel emotionally broken after reading this book.
Sin, we learn how she got this nickname in the book, always seemed the most emotionally complex of those who make up the Memento Mori and I wasn't sure that I liked her. She was hard and abrasive in Royal's book and in this you find out why. Her relationship with Connor/Kacey and her family fractures and leaves her broken and confused. The interplay between her and her father was particularly good. We also learn about Kacey and how he fell in love with her and in his own way tried to protect her, but he is betrayed too, by his own family and the FBI. I wanted to punch his parents and younger brother. There is a little humour but there is a huge emotional moment that sets up the next book and left me reeling and broken. You will not be disappointed by this book.

This is the second book in this impressive series.
Where the card is dropped you are marked!
Chanel / Sin is the daughter of the Don of the Memento Mori, and niece of the Don of the Murdock mafia, and she will do whatever she must to protect her family and keep them safe. Connor / Kacey is off limits and is oblivious as to who Sin actually is. In this story we get an insight into why Sin is as guarded with men as she is.
This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster, which is dark, raw, gritty, intense, and intriguing, with family, loss, lovers / enemies, enemies / lovers, heartbreak, grief, betrayal, secrets, and love, which leads to an entertaining, twisted, unpredictable, and thrilling addictive page turner.
I cannot wait to read the next book!
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

O. M. G!!!!!!! What did I just read????? Broken by Sin by Samantha Barrett is the most agonizing, devastating, gut-wrenching, rip-my-heart-to-shreds book I’ve read all year!!! And yet….I LOVED IT!!! This is the story of Kacey and Chanel (Sin). The most unlikely of matches….on opposite sides of the spectrum. One using the other…families at odds…threats of a dangerous war bloom on the horizon. Can one betray family for something more?? This story just ripped my heart out over and over and over again!!

I think I embraced Sin more than any other character I’ve read by this author. What a horrible dilemma…feelings strewn everywhere…no solution…only sadness. Kacey makes one bad decision after another…but, his heart is golden! Then, there’s the shocking ending…OMG what will happen with the Memento Mori now???

You know what?😂you didn’t have to break my heart like that 🥲I don’t know what to do right now because heart is shattered into thousand pieces 😩😔

I loved everything about this book gosh I want more of it🫠I loved the 3rd breakup usually I hate it because it hurts like a bitch and the mmc never grovels enough or they get back too quickly without solving issues then the author never mentions it again which I hate so much but here I loved it because I wanted to see Sin in her emotions or having feelings and I did enjoy that so much.

Havoc???my heart is beyond repair at this point
Did you really have to do that?🥲🥲my heart breaks for Chaos and their parents I cried so much reading that part
Anyway I’m trusting the process and see what happens in the next book

Overall this book was great a solid 5 starts is what it deserves ❤️

Broken by Sin

When the card is dropped, you are marked.
There is no escaping them, they come for their prey and will hunt until your blood soaks the ground beneath your cold lifeless body. They are the new generation and they have something to prove. They are hungry to show the OG’s that they are ready to lead, except, the princess was tired of waiting to be seen, she showed them all that she alone can bring a swift death to her enemies like no other.

Sin is the daughter of the infamous Bloodhound, Underboss to the Don of the Memento Mori and niece to the Don of the Murdoch Mafia. She is surrounded by powerful men who treat her as an equal, allow her to take control and they come to her for advice, Sin bow's to no man… Well… except him.

I honestly did not know what to expect from this book as I didn't warm to Chanel (Sin) in the previous book. Sin met Kacey under false pretenses two years ago and they fell in love until secrets were revealed and it tore them apart. Sin is a bad ass and even the men in her life know not to cross her. Kacey loves that about her and when he gets a chance to make it up to her he does all he can. This had some hot and spicy scenes that I was down for. Then we got a scene that I never imagined possible, and it absolutely broke me and I could not stop the tears from flowing, I do not think I will be prepared for the next book.

These Murdochs are worse than the OG’s, they cannot and will not be controlled by their parents.

Broken by Sin is an absolute 5 Star.
Emotional roller-coaster with such passion and pain.
Sin -Chanel Murello is the daughter to the Bloodhound. Sin is the underboss to her cousin Royal part of the Memento Mori.

Murdoch Mafia family and the Memento Mori have both earned the reputation as cold blooded killers, fierce protective and loyal the the family above all else.

Sin's journey throughout will rip your emotions to shreds.
As these characters develop and become more advanced in their objectives, the more they are feared throughout.
The storyline is written with such passion and paced beautifully.

The heartbreaking journey will have you wanting to scream cry and hurt.
Tissues are required.
I need more.

With every book that Samantha puts out, i claim that it is now my favorite. I swear her books get better and better. I truly love Chanel. She gives Rook a run for his money as my favorite character. In this book, we get to see a new side of Chanel and get her back story as to why she is so closed off. I love how Chanel holds her own not only with her cousins but also her father. Chanel love interest Conner/Kasey is the perfect fit for her. He goes after exactly what he wants, even if it is not the smart thing to do. He refuses to back down from the Murdock family, especially Chanel's father, Vincent. This book is an emotional roller-coaster ride. The twist that Samantha puts in here had me throwing my Kindle. I can't wait to see what happens in book 3 of this series.
