The next books of the series! The Healer’s Way (Book 17): The Healer’s Way (Book 18): The Healer’s Way (Book 19): The Healer’s Way (Book 20): The Healer's Way (Book 21): The Healer’s Way (Book 22):
In a world full of secrets and intrigue, Mikhail Bulatov is playing a dangerous game, and the rules are constantly changing. True, the opposing players are the ones who have to worry, although they don’t know it yet...
Really, though, danger is no stranger to Mikhail—his life in this world has always been marked by clashes with powerful enemies, magical creatures, and rather strange allies, but he doesn't allow anyone or anything to stand in his way. And when it comes to his people, Mikhail will do whatever it takes, even if it means the beginning of the end for his enemies.
Of course, while they go about plotting to take him out, he might as well enjoy a little vacation, one that lands him in prison. Why not? A guy has to have fun somehow!
I’ve been faithfully following this series mostly with glee but I’m deeply disappointed in this book. The first two thirds of the book was gratuitous violence and humiliation. How boring can you get? This is followed by ego strutting primary characters and finally a storyline hook. Goodbye
These books while entertaining are too short for the price. This book is essentially two short stories that drag on with filler humor. It seems like the author is dragging out the story to sell more overpriced books!
The Emperor sent Mikhail Bulatov on an outworlder mission not even giving him the low down, in part as punishment, but also to see if he could parse out Mikhail's abilities! Really just how strong is he! But his plan was foiled, when the team Mikhail was with were all captured. They ended up in a torture prison the Sinners Throne. And since they couldn't break him as Mikhail could heal himself as fast as they could insert pain! Mikhail treated this like a Luxury Resort. Using a glib tongue he turned the tables on them actually practicing his own form of mental torture, breaking down the guards and torturers ability to cope!!! Healing the innocent along the way... So yeah AwesomeSauce grab the book to find out what happens when Mikhail Bulatov goes on vacation!
Here's a quote:
What could be more romantic than sitting with her like this, on the roof of an armored car, and watching our artillery shell the enemy army?
I received a review copy of this book. The Healer's Way is a long running series, and it seems that every book adds another wrinkle to the problems of the main character and his attempts to have a relatively fun (but calm) life. In this particular situation, trying to infiltrate an enemy stronghold through yet another portal proves interesting for all involved, including the four top rated agents sent with him on the mission. Of course, things never turn out as expected when the main character is involved, so you can imagine just how "wrong" things go during this mission. Truly one of the more funny adventures happening to those around the main character in this series. Highly recommended, even if you're not really a fan of the series.
After 16 volumes, the main character has been reduced to an overpowered main character with ADHD. He says he supports his family and followers, but he often tortures and overworks them “for their own good.” He can’t sit still long enough to do anything consistent, bouncing from war against Persia to infiltrating an off-world prison to fighting other nobles. The adventures have been fun but after a dozen volumes, one would expect that a larger goal or purpose would emerge, but nothing yet. So is he merely an immature adult who likes to play and kill his enemies? That is not enough.
I was laughing for hours as I read Michael’s vacation in the Sinner’s prison tower. The best was the werewolfies listening to him like good doggies and the torturer who kept cutting into Misha to no effect and then eventually killed himself cause he thought he failed his gods. It was uber hilarious.
The Sinner’s Throne was the location for most of the book. It was different in a good way. Mikhail is quite the saboteur. Very creative and innovative storyline. I enjoyed it! Great read. Another enemy appears, blatantly. A secret enemy is outed. Cannot wait for the next book.
Just not worth the read anymore. Time is better spent searching for something else or just staring at a blank wall. Quality has taken a nose dive and that is something that cant be afforded since the books were already skirting the edge. This goes not only for this book but the latest offerings in the authors other series.
The first half of the book was really funny as the MC finds himself a special spa where he finally can "relax", build himself a new career and work on his reputation with his team colleagues #rofl#.
In the second half he struggles with boredom until he finds himself a new enemy by accident..
This book finishes the prison take over. Then he fights some gypsy people that his horse handles almost by himself. Then this book ends as some super planes try bombing his school. Great Stuff
I think every reader needs to start doing this to force authors to write a quick Recap chapter, which readers can skip if they remember, and those who don't won't stop reading the series.
