Having claimed a new home among the stars, the clan now looks outward—ready to strike, settle scores, and carve their mark into a rapidly changing universe.
As tension rises across their young universe, they strike out against their enemies—navigating delicate negotiations, taking part in a grand auction, and recover Nivareth, a realm of boundless possibility that will shape their future in ways they have yet to understand. From brutal sieges to surgical retaliation, they take the fight to those who stand against them, cleansing the stars of rogue cultivators, accord-breakers, and syndicate loyalists one battle at a time.
A whole universe to explore, alliances to make, villains to purge and monsters to defeat.
The nation building (maybe more a large city, the Reyser Clan has only a million people, so it’s a little more populous than San Francisco for all it claims a few solar systems for its small but mighty empire) part concluded, Alastair and Riseth get back to fighting space slavers, necromancers and other bad guys.
They luck into a few more major treasures, including a divine flower from a higher realm that can make customized dungeons for people it likes.
And they make Grade 7, but alas we need to wait till the next book to see if they get dragonborn as an evolution option (ha, maybe they can evolve into a wyvern and go hunting more dragon hearts to ascend higher).
While the initial premise held a certain intrigue, the execution fell short, primarily due to an incredibly slow and dry narrative. The pacing felt glacial; plot points unfolded with agonizing slowness, leaving me struggling to maintain any level of engagement. The authors universe started to feel bleek and for me, and it has turned into a might makes right story. The foreshadowing that there is no way for them to survive the opening of the few bridges means there is going to be a lot of plot armor and dues ex in future books (there is already a lot). DNF
I absolutely adore the Beshin and Ryser clan. I kinda want them to morph their plants together so their people can live in peace and all that good stuff. That's just all sorts of complicated but a reader can pray... lol
I am on my toes for the fifth book of the series. I absolutely love the Ryser clan along with their clostset ally the Beshin clan. I hope the leadership of the Ryser clan OP everyone and can protect everyone in their SPACE. This shit is so serious bruv... I am so concerned.

Overall the RPG style of writing is new and interesting to me. The world building for this series is really impressive but I would love to see the characters and relationships go deeper. A lot of information is thrown at you but sometimes it seems for no reason. Looking forward to see where this world goes.
This story of a guy who bails on earth when the system takes over was a very interesting entertaining read. This story ends as the MC was going to evolve to the next grade.
The problem with growth based series is always needing a bigger villain. Your protagonist needs progressively stronger and larger whetstones to polish themselves on and improve. Bainin is keeping on top of it in their books. I look forward to developments!
