Matthew Cartwright lost the love of his life. Watching her twin sister live her dream with a found family, he always felt like he was on the outside looking in. He decides to take a position in Texas, returning to his home state.
While bidding his time for the transfer, he has a fling with Rachel Foster, the one woman in town no one likes.
Rachel is a pampered, spoiled, and petty rich girl. Everything that turns him off about a woman. At the rehearsal dinner of her ex-fiancé, she creates a scene which prompts Matthew to give her a ride home. It turns out to be a surprising night for both of them. After casually seeing her for months, he’s ready to start his new life without her.
Following him to Texas, Rachel demands that he give her a chance. When she gets embroiled in a dangerous secret, Matthew must admit his secret fling to the team and save the woman he loves despite her stubborn and willful ways. When she threatens to tell the secret, can Matthew find anything to redeem Rachel, or will she be the death of him?
The ending of the Serenity Mountain series gives us a glimpse at Rachel who has caused turmoil in the past and no one of fond of. She turns to Matthew for help and we see the hidden depths of her character. It was a well written read full of emotion, banter, humor, lies, danger and misconceptions. I am sad to see the end of this beloved series but am excited to see where Cassie takes us next! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is the final book in the Serenity Mountain Series, and it has all the feelings. Just like with each book in this series, we do get to see the other characters. I'm sad to see this series end but I love the banter between Matthew and Rachel. This book is full of emotion and laughter. What a way to end this series. After everything that Rachel has done in this series up until this point no one in Serenity liked her they just tolerated her, however after a drunk night to got close to non other then the techman Matthew. She is drowning inside from how her father treats her, she is hurt when Matthew didn’t say goodbye before he left. Her father puts her in a predicament that she doesn’t want. This book is Matthew and Rachels story and it is one that you will want to read. I didn't want to put it down. I wasn't so sure if Rachel was redeemable, but Cassie proved me wrong. If you want all the details you are going to have to read it for yourself!
This is a standalone but would be easier to understand if you read the whole Serenity Mountain Series. It has 14 books including this one.- Kristina
This was truly amazing. For a longish book it really tugged me in. Fast paced and not just action but a romance that is intriguing and makes you wonder if they will ever make it work.
Rachel a politician's daughter is forced to marry a Senator, so she runs to the only man she loved, Matthew who she has a love hate relationship.
There were several laugh out loud moments in this book which I truly loved. It was great as it really showed the characters of those involved. Not giving it away but several truly special moments.
The chemistry between Matthew and Rachel was always there but they couldn't get out of their own ways to get it to work. The steamy moments were excellent and not too explicit, but that wasn't their issues. It was the lies and misconceptions that got in the way.
Loaded with romance, action, drama galore and exceptional characters that made this a special book for me.
Well written, just a perfect blend of so many aspects i couldn't ask for more. So good! Loved it!
I wasn't convinced that Ms Colton could redeem Rachel but once again she has proven me wrong and left me warming to the not so pampered rich girl she has been portrayed as. I'm sad that this is the final book in the Serenity Mountain series and whist I'm sure we shall see more of our Serenity family in the future, Matthew and Rachel's story is a good ending and beginning to a new chapter.
Matthew has always been on the periphery despite all that he has been part of and just like Cassie, I was desperate to see him happy and move on from his own demons. Rachel has been a bit of a character and though I didn't see it coming, they absolutely fit so well together. You will have to read this fantastic story to see how Rachel, and Matthew really, are redeemed and I'm positive you will see just how perfect they are for one another.
From the hints and side stories playing out throughout Redeeming Rachel, I'm sure we will see more of these two as the ranch gets up and running and more characters turn up and I for one can't wait.
A good ending of what has been a fantastic series.
What a way to end this series!!!! After everything that Rachel has done in this series up until this point no one in Serenity liked her they just tolerated her, however after a drunk night to got close to non other then the techman Matthew. She is drowning inside from how her father treats her, she is hurt when Matthew didn’t say goodbye before he left. Her father puts her in a predicament that she doesn’t want!!! What does Rachel do? Who does she turn to knowing no one in Serenity likes her? Does she do the unthinkable? Does she show the real her or does she continue to be the Rachel that no one likes? This final book will have you all in your feelings. Definitely a must read… way to go Cassie!!
This is the final book in the Serenity Mountain Series, and it has all the feelings. Just like with each book in this series, we do get to see the other characters. I love how Cassie gives us glimpses of the new characters that we will be meeting in the new series she is working on. I'm sad to see this series end but I can't wait to see what else Cassie has in store for us!
This book is Matthew and Rachels story and it is one that you will want to read. I didn't want to put it down. I wasn't so sure if Rachel was redeemable, but Cassie proved me wrong. If you want all the details you are going to have to read it for yourself!
The end of the Serenity Mountain series. So wonderful how, even though the book focuses on one couple, we get updates on everyone. I have to be honest, I had a hard time with Rachel. Matthew was a bit of a jerk too at times. But there were reasons and communication issues and I found myself rooting for them. Such a well written story that I was immersed in it even when I wanted to shake them. I am looking forward to the new series. A great book that reminds you to look beneath the surface.
This is Rachel and Matthews story. A great ending to the series. I loved this series. Rachel has been a thorn in everyone's side on Serenity Mountain, especially Kassies. Rachel finds herself in trouble so she seeks out Matthew. Matthew asks his friends to help. They are a little skeptical because its Rachel. But because Matthew asked they came to help him. This story pulls you in from the start. Full of emotion, banter and mystery. A great ending to the series. Definitely would recommend reading. I was given a copy and I voluntarily leave this review.
The path to redemption for Rachel & Matthew is long, painful, & achingly frustrating, pulling you through a whirlwind of raw emotions at every turn. Their struggles, choices, & the push-pull of their hearts leave you reeling. Along the way, the team’s trademark shenanigans & the ever-present acts of fierce love shine through, lightening the heaviness with warmth & camaraderie. The finale delivers a rush of danger, uncertainty, & hard-won clarity that ties everything together beautifully.
Yes, Rachel is redeemed! Cassie does a wonderful job in redeeming her. I love the banter between Matthew and Rachel. This book is full of emotion and laughter. I love the way Cassie closes the Serenity Mountain series and a smooth move into her new Texas series. We see all of our favorite characters from the series and we also get to meet new characters from Texas. I’m sad to see this series end but excited to see what she has in store for us next.
I wasn’t sure how this was going to play out knowing who she was to the rest of the group but I enjoyed the story line and how she came to know herself better.
