Serge is haunted by an unrequited love from his past. Living in boarding house with his work rival, he is a spiteful and bitter man who refuses to mingle with others around him. Vincent S. Coster began writing poetry seriously in 1996 when he set out with the very high faluting ambition of becoming the poetic oracle of the Irish race. However, he soon dropped this ambition and settled instead of being a poet who tried to tell the story of what it is to be human through various experiences. His first work was a psychedelic and surrealist work, influenced by the songs of The Beatles and The Doors. However, as he began developing material for his sophomore collection he started to change to a more story-telling mode which harkened back to the Bardic tradition of Celtic poetry. His poetry is eclectic in its style, subject matter, and scope.
He has published two chapbooks The Spirit of Youth (2012) Poems From Another Shore (2013)
Four collections of poetry. The Folk Hero Midget (2001) There Are Words (2009) Eat Not My Brother (2015) Little Paper Fishes (2018)
A selected poems anthology Subject Objectivity The Selected Poems 1996-2015 (2016)
And a short digital pamphlet of Gothic Poems which is no longer in print.
Nocturnes (2011)
He is currently working on a number of projects and has scheduled two books for release in 2019.
