I escaped everything. Except for the truth.

Almost five years ago, my life changed forever.

The horsemen—the men I loved—abandoned me.

I survived, and with Anson's help, I was able to make a new life for myself.

One where I performed in sold-out arenas around the world and lived my dreams with him and Evan by my side.

Of course, with fame came pressure, and that pressure took the form of a box filled with nightmares… And body parts.

Now, with a stalker after me, that freedom I’d craved is now a distant memory.

But one night would change it all.

I was protected by some of the best bodyguards in the world, and yet, HE got to me.

And now?

It’s about more than survival.

It’s about shattering the lies I’d been told and learning the truth about my horsemen.

Whether I wanted to or not.

Shattered Lies is book one of the third series from Rosalie and the horsemen in their dark, no-choosing story. This is their adult story. This is a dark romance, and it’s part of the Chaos Universe, a dark why choose crossover world.

I. MOTHERFUCKING. CALLED. IT.
I KNEW IT WAS GOING TO END LIKE THAT, BUT I STILL WASN'T READY!!! BECAUSE WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE WOULD DO THAT?!?! AND JUST WHAT WILL HIS REACTION BE WHEN *EVERYTHING* IS REVEALED?!?!

OK, that deserved all the shouty caps, because Y'ALL. What a ride this was! I can't really get into too much because it's all a spoiler but just know your jaw will drop, new figures are uncovered and new alliances and friendships formed, Rosalie is an absolute QUEEN even though she feels like a part of her is still missing even after all these years. There's new dangers and vendettas, and absolutely everything is connected!

Just you wait, my friends -- the emotions are strong with this installment, and it's an absolute MUST READ. KG just keeps getting better and better, and there's so many crumbs for not only the rest of Chapel Crest and the Kings, but for the next gen spinoff! Just read carefully and be prepared to have your mind blown in the best of ways!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions**

Definitely didn’t see that twist coming even though I should have. Now I need book 2 to see what happens. I love how we get a little bit of everyone from the other books and see everyone 5 years later. Definitely was hooked from page one.

Let me tell you, I'd been waiting on bated breath for this book, so when I heard we were getting it, on my birthday no less, I actually squealed so loud, my hubs came running to my rescue, thinking I was hurt or something. Needless to say, he pretty much scowled at and chastised me when he found out my inner teenager came out over the excitement of receiving Shattered Lies. Lol.

Anyway, on to my review. And, beware, there are spoilers. You've been warned, so don't read this review if you don't want them.

Here it is, nearly 5 years after WWF part 2, the last book of Mayfair, and the lives of Rosie and her Horsemen are so beyond different. Rosie is now a famous popstar, a mother and with Evan, Ani and Klaus. She's happy and fulfilled, but there's still an ache within her heart, a part of her that will always belong to her Horsemen, so she secretly longs for them. She's also the target of a stalker, who leaves her some pretty horrid surprises each time he "strikes". Her guys are, of course, terrified for her, but Rosie has such amazing strength, unwilling to let the unknown person harassing her keep her from doing what she loves and was always meant to do, singing. So, she pushes on.

Don't get me started on her daughter, Ellie. She is absolutely the cutest thing ever; a perfect mix of Rosie and Cole. And Ani, Evan and Klaus are incredible with her, amazing dads'. I'm glad, though, that Ellie's aware she has another dad out there, her real dad. Rosie has made sure she knows he exists, that he loves Ellie and someday she'll meet him. I seriously can't wait for the Cole/Ellie scenes, their first meeting. I have no doubt it'll be epic, and this girl will be a bawling mess.

My heart truly aches for Enzo, Cole and Ethan. Because of the blood debt with Church Enzo and Cole had to make after what happened with Celeste in the end, they can't have contact with Rosie, not unless she initiates. Ethan is unaware of this arrangement. You can see how broken Cole and Enzo are. Since losing Rosie and Fox's "death", all 3 guys feel an emptiness, hollowed out by their loss. Ethan is less so but only because of his son. Their only light in the dark is Riot, but they still feel that longing for the 2 they lost. Cole struggles the most with it, Enzo drinks a lot trying to lock it up so he doesn't have to feel or acknowledge it and Ethan puts his focus on his son and work, busying himself and his mind to stay his longing. Thing is, things happen with Rosalie, and those incidents drive a wedge in their ability to hide their feelings about her anymore. What will happen when they're all reunited? Has too much time passed? Is there too much baggage from their past to even spark the desire to try again? Can each side accept the lives they now lead, the people that are permanently part of those lives, or will that be a hard limit to reconciling? How will the Horsemen handle the truth about Evan? Will they feel betrayed? Regardless of how it turns out, it'll be epic, and I absolutely trust the process and KG to deliver us an amazing HEA for the characters we've fallen in love with and have taken the journey alongside through multiple series now.

The ChaosVerse in whole is my favorite books of all-time, each new book to this universe solidifying my deep love for the world and characters within that much more, but Rosie and her guys will ALWAYS have a very special place in my heart. They were my introduction into the RH world, and I've been a slave to it ever since. Not at all ashamed to admit that.

KG, you have created something so brilliant and special in the ChaosVerse, true literary gold right here, as you have with everything you've written, and I'm so excited to see what you have in-store for us. I'm here with you to the end. I have and will ALWAYS trust the process!! Kudos to you, Queen, for another phenomenal read!!!

Rosalie and the Horsemen are back once again, but this time in the debut of their new adult series.
Shattered Lies by K.G. Reuss is the newest release from Horsemen of Ruin series.
Through multiple POVs we follow the journey of Rosalie Bishop, Evan, Ethan Masters, Cole Scott, Enzo De Luca and others 5 years after When We Fall Part 2; the finale to Mayfair University series.

Did I enjoy reading the book? Of course, it’s the Horsemen, need I say more.
This book truly had me in all the feels, but that's no surprise considering any book from series revolving around Rosie and the Horsemen always have.
I just can’t help but get lost in all the emotions!
The story had me facing, enduring and even suffering through the whirlwind of it all.
It was an emotionally charged rollercoaster ride, putting me through the wringer, going every which way with all the ups, downs and highs and lows coming from the good and bad times.
So much so that I had to take breaks in between to breathe, calm down and relax, since the book had me yelling, screaming and shouting out from annoyance and frustration at times. Or getting overwhelmed from how hard moments hit with being on the brink of tears.

Even though Shattered Lies is the first book in the Horsemen of Ruin series, it truly started off with a bang.
From the way the story developed, there was much to be said, explored and ventured through. Particularly due to the many perspectives you were following in the storyline, you couldn’t help but become gripped, devouring the words all the more fast with each and every page, wanting to learn and see where the characters journey would go and what paths they would venture upon and through.
Even more so from the surprises, twists and turns and some explosions dropped along the way.

Just like they always have Rosalie, Evan, Ethan, Cole and Enzo continued to have ahold of you in seeing and learning about their personal journeys within the developing storyline.
From all the changes and growth to come out of them as characters with the decisions they made, as well as within the paths they navigated and continued upon. Given how long it had been and how far they had come from where they were 5 years ago.
There definitely was a lot to venture through with so much to be said and told, helping to fill in the gaps to the questions of what happened between the end of When We Fall Part Two and the beginning of Shattered Lies.

Well looks like K.G. Reuss aka Queen of Cliffy, Suspense, Heartbreak, Torture and Pain did it again in the delivery of Shattered Lies. Especially with that cliffy which though I had guessed it early on, it will still leave you gob smacked and jaw dropped!
Book two Broken Promises could not come fast enough.

Rosalie and the Horsemen are BACK! ... except it's not really the Horsemen anymore, is it? 😬

Either way, Rosie is back five years later with her new group of guys 👀 and the sweetest little souvenir of her old life, Ellis. 😍 Rosie is touring the country with her band as Bishop, and touring alongside her is the band Fatal Promise. She's also dealing with tons of gossip + a crazed stalker, which has tensions running high while Anson, Evan, & Klaus try to deal with that.

Meanwhile Enzo, Cole, & Ethan are back in Chicago running their empire (to the top!), raising their son Riot, and watching bits and pieces of Rosie from afar. When her tour comes to Chicago, it presents the perfect opportunity for them to make contact. 👌🏻 ... aaaand then chaos ensues, of course.

I loved loved loved the way that Rosie's current relationships shook out. Klaus was a great addition and they are SO good for each other. I also really adored seeing a different side to Dante (Unkie Dunkie 🥰), and maaaybe some hints about seeing a lot more of Ryder in the future (yes, please!)

This book was such a great introduction to their adult lives, even if I could just FEEL all the pain that's headed their way. I'm really crossing my fingers that they've all grown & matured, and that they make their way back together fairly easily - and then most of the conflict in the coming books will be from outside forces, and not between each other. Wishful thinking? Probably, but I'm a romantic at heart and I just want them to finally be happy. 😉😍

This book is the continuation of Rosalie and the horsemen's story. It takes place five years after the events of When We Fall Part Two. It is a dark reverse harem with mafia, stalkers, a little spice, a few funny moments, and a lot of sadness.

After the bittersweet ending to the Mayfair series, I knew this first book of their adult story would be sad. I was very right. Seeing how miserable, depressed, and lonely Cole and Enzo are broke my heart. Ethan's character growth is truly amazing! I've never been more proud of a character.

While I was happy for the horsemen and Rosalie, and their careers, and just how far they've come, it was just another bittersweet thing. Even Rosalie is sad underneath it all. Riot and Ellie absolutely stole the show every time they were in a chapter. They are the absolute cutest!

The pacing is great because we're all so interested in seeing what has happened to them and where they are now. There's a little bit of spice, but that makes sense with all the catching up we have to do. I enjoyed the character crossovers we see in this. I'm hoping the foreshadowing with Ryder is for someone else, though. I'm getting tired of the majority of RH authors thinking that FMCs can't have male friends without adding them to the harem. Overall, this was a sad book, but it leaves hope for the future for all of them, and I'm looking forward to the next book!

We are now in the final trilogy for Rosie and her Horsemen!

Enzo: Rosalie was better off without us. At least she was living her dreams while I lived in this nightmare.
I know a lot of people are angry at Enzo but he has sacrificed and suffered for his choices and his love. I can’t wait for them to re-unite!

Rosalie: We built a world almost a thousand miles from home.
Rosie is living her dream… almost.

Evan: I’d never loved anyone in my life the way I loved her.
My heart both breaks and bursts for Evan. I love that he’s been with Rosie all this time.

Cole: No woman could hold a light to my Rosebud, so I didn’t bother with any of them.
My baby, has honestly not grown at all but then again he is Coke and I love his loyalty and heart.

Dr Ethan Masters is in the house! I am so here to see E at his fullest potential being the Dad we all knew he could be!

Ellis and Riot are the cutest little kids and I couldn’t stop grinning at all their scenes and how connected they are to all the characters!

Bishop’s band brings a whole new set of characters that are fun and perfect! I think I see a potential harem coming here.

Yes, it ends on a cliffhanger that makes you want to scream but we are so close to everything coming together. I can’t wait!!

*received this book early from authors website

Set five years after the last we saw of the horsemen we learn what they have been doing- Rosalie is a big rock star and is married to Evan and is in a relationship with Anson (As well as Klaus....which is not my favorite thing)

Rosalie now has a daughter names ellis (Coles daughter; which he does not know) and her new harem is all raising her. While the Horsemen also have a child Lazarus or Riot.

I enjoyed flashforwarding 5 years to see the characters progress past coupe books the characters were doing the same thing and saying the same thing; it was special to see ethan healthy and okay.

Here is what I did not Like: Adding New Characters to the Harem (This goes with any book)

I did enjoy the end when we found out who that secret masked intruder was....

Also im sorry but Ethan did nothing wrong like evan tell him ur fox.

Also just a pet peeve dont like these new names these characters are caling eachother....

I am reading to see when Lazarus and Ellis meet

What a way to end the book! K.G Reuss knocked it out of the park with this book!

This is quite a beginning for Horsemen of Ruins series with Shattered Lies! Flash forward five years into the future from the ending of Mayfair Series. While the Horsemen are in Chicago and watching Rosalie from afar in gossip magazines and award shows, we get to see what Rosalie's been up to with Anson and Evan these last five years. Boy has Ro had quite the adventure starting her career! She's got a family with men she loves, a world tour and a wonderful support system. Everything should be looking up, until it doesn't. An unknown person starts creating chaos, stalking and harassing Rosalie while her guys walk a tight rope to keep her safe. The gossip rags and their headlines don't help with this escalating situation, causing concerns in three men who never stopped loving the woman they let go. The twists that happened in this story, were quite surprising, I didn't see them coming and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Shattered Lies is the 1st book in the Horsemen of Ruin series, which is a continuation on from Mayfair University series. Shattered Lies starts almost 5 years after Mayfair University series ended. Rosalie is thriving in the music world, living her dream, but unfortunately that doesn’t fix a broken heart. Even though she has people who love her and she can’t live without, something is still missing and she feels it all the time. However she isn’t the only one who feels it but the betrayal hurts to much. What happens when Rosalie’s stalker takes things to another level? Will she learn the truth about what happened almost 5 years ago that shattered her entire world? This book is full of success, rebirth, heartbreak, lies, truths, danger, dismembered body parts and a twist you never saw coming. Can’t wait to see what’s next for Rosalie and all the men in her life.

Shattered lies

KG reminds us again why we love the CHAOS!!! Literally devoured it and can't wait for the next!! But that brings us closer to end and THAT....I'm not ready at all!! 🥹 Rosalie is living her best life!!! Or is she?!?
Loving the E's!!! Ethan has always been one of my favorites and this version... Yep definitely here for it!! My boy Evan.... Mmmm that's really all that needs to be said! You're going to see how the characters have spent these last few years, who they've become, and wondering where they're going to go and how they interact with each other. Most of our favorite hotties make an appearance..the Watchers and Kings! Unkie Dunkie and Unky Butt 🤣🤣🤣! Truths may come to light and we'll see how a few react! Don't overlook the crumbies!! Definitely trust the process because this one ends with ONE massive cliffhanger!!!!

I have a love hate relationship with these books/series.
I’ve always hated when the FMC is treated like shit by the men in her life and you know in the end she’ll forgive them. The way I truly hope this doesn’t happen in the end. I love Rosalie, Evan, Anton, Klaus, and kinda E. E as a friend though. Not with Rosalie. Enzo can’t put her first to save his life. Cole, I knew. In my gut I knew. He needs to die. I truly hope that’s his ending and I hope it’s Dante that does it in his Underground. Cause fuck him. He was warned. Allllllllll his shit including the rape that created Ellie is unforgivable.

I love 85% of these books/series. The world is amazing. Psychopaths that won’t harm their girl but will harm for her, that’s hot as fuck. Love me some Klaus. I actually love Dante Church(Rosalie’s Brother), highly recommend his series.

oh wow

WOW KG, once again hooked from the first page and that ending did not disappoint. I literally wasn’t sure how it was all going to play out but man I am speechless. Absolutely enjoyed all the interactions with all the characters and getting their point of views and how the story is unfolding and I am soooo looking forward to the next one. You are fantastic at creating such an amazing story and hooking the readers. Also the interaction of unkie dunkie and Ellis painted Church in such a different light absolutely loved it. Just goes to show that men viewed as strong and powerful all it takes is one little girl to wrap them around their finger. Cannot wait for the next one!!!!

What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, right? Or so we are told. Five years have gone by since we last caught up with Rosalie and the Horsemen. No longer together, Bishop is living a life in the limelight as her music career has taken off, and she's found happiness in a trio that have her heart, just not the three she grew up with! All is not as it seems, and a stalker has brought her wield crashing down, and into the stomping grounds of past memories and past love. As always, the author has woven a storyline that will have you on the edge of your seat, grabbing for tissues, and melting your kindle. What awaits youuuuu is absolutely brilliant, and a truly captivating read.

As usual, the writing is strong, though the beginning felt a bit slow for me as in I could not get behind it at all.

This is a solid continuation of Rosalie's story, and it's such a treat to keep following these familiar characters. It honestly feels like watching a favorite TV series. I'm always going to be hooked because I get to see them grow, chase their dreams, and deal with all the drama that comes with it.

I was a little unsure at the start, especially since I couldn't quite get behind Klaus, but I trusted the process. I'm glad I did, because I'm enjoying where the story is going. I am looking forward to the next one!

The continuation of Rosalie and her men is just… amazing. If you haven’t read the Black Falls High and Mayfair I suggest doing so before starting this new series. Hell, go back and read the whole Chaos universe because it’s just so amazing. Hands down my absolute favorite RH and universe out there. This book is no different than the others where you go through just about every emotion reading it. The ending just 10/10 but those cliffhangers are brutal (personally love a great cliffhanger) Cannot wait for the next one!

OH MY GOSH I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT

I absolutely loved this. I loved getting to see some happiness with Rosalie and her guys. I’m so happy to see some rekindling too, I was literally in tears when she was connecting with you know who.

I loved the stalker portion of this even tho it was super messed up.

Let me just say the last 5 pages literally had me GASPING and staring at a wall. I had a completely different theory in mind, but if this person did everything this stalker did… oh we are in for a TIMEEEEE

Gimme book 2 right now please!!

I have been waiting for this series for a long time and we now finally have it! Rosalie and the horsemen are done with college and well into their careers but still not together. Rosalie is happy with her guys but does miss the horsemen. Enzo finally made it to the top with Cole and Ethan but even they miss Rosalie. I love that the Watcher's, well Church, is part of Rosalies life and and extremely protective of her. I won't say much else because of spoilers but that cliffhanger...what the hell!! I mean was he the stalker or is this just a coincidence? I can't wait for the next book!

SCREAMING!!!

This book was EVERYTHING!!! Had me on the edge of my seat the entire time and I will be (not so) patiently waiting for the next one! Absolutely loved every minute of it, even if some of it had me screaming at the characters to say or do certain things to make things better for their situations, but absolutely loved how it was written and I understand things are happening how they’re supposed to. I’m trusting the process!!

loved it!!!

She did it again the queen herself I am so invested in each character of this chaos world and I love the book. I’m a huge fan of the new harem that Rosalie has between clouds Evan and Anson. I love Cole’s dedication and we can see in this book how he’s having a hard time with Rosalie moving on that. It takes him to do them unthinkable. I’m so curious about what to come.

Amazing! I couldn’t get enough of this story and I wasn’t putting it down until it was finished. Rosalie and The Horsemen’s story continues on from the Mayfair university series and all the key players are back, better then ever. The stakes are higher but can they do better this time around. The horsemen have a lot of work to do. I loved being back in this world and of course, I was left wanting more.

The book was good though repetitive in some parts. But there’s nothing that will make me like you, Cole. Nothing. Cole’s darkness/obsession is not love or anything love adjacent. I’m really not sure I’ve ever hated a character more but here we are. This might be the first time I don’t want a happily ever after with the original MMCs. I guess kudos to the author for a job well done in writing assholes. Lol.

3.5 stars because I really, really hate Cole.

4.5 because I do love Unkie Dunkie.

Another masterpiece

This author does it again! Suspense, emotion, tear jerking moments and a story still telling! Ro and her men are on a rollercoaster, not ready to get off because of all the secrets each are keeping. But, that won't stop any of these boys from making more bad decisions in the name of love! Can't wait for the next book. Ro has got to kick some sense into these men.
