It Found Me - the long awaited sequel to Amazon's no. 1 bestselling Paranormal Ghost Story, The House on Poultney Road.
106 Poultney Road should have felt empty after the death of her husband Richard, but Ellen was far from living alone. Questioning whether or not she should move from a house that she believed her late husband's spirit could be trapped inside, she must face a few demons of her own. Who was the man in black? And why did he haunt her family? ***** Yvonne and Eric found their dream home in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire months before their second daughter, Stephanie was due to be born. What they did not know was that they were taking on a house with a dark history of its own and that their daughter would be drawn into the depths of the nightmares that resided there. ***** Sometimes a soul can rest, another time it lingers between the living and the dead and it's when these two worlds collide that hauntings can have a traumatic effect on a family. Some people look for answers, they try to find a path in life to connect with the dead, but sometimes, through no choice of their own, the dead comes looking for them. IT FOUND ME
Writing has always been my passion and horror my obsession.
I always knew that I wanted to be an author, with a degree in Media & Journalism and career in copywriting and marketing; but working full-time and running my own business, it was more a matter of when, than how.
The House on Poultney Road was born many years ago when I was told ghost stories by my family about the occurances inside the house they grew up in.
So when in 2013, I started my FaceBook page, www.facebook.com/TheHouseOnPoultneyRoad - I never quite expected the level of support that I got and it's thanks to those people who have encouraged me to publish my work.
The House on Poultney Road is a ghost story based on true events experienced and witnessed by my family, so it was important to me not to have my work manipulated. I wanted it to read in a way that I would tell the story to my friends and aquaintances, around a burning fire on a cold, winter's night.
This, along with the sequel, It Found Me, are published by SCAMPS Publishing.
I feel my writing's improving everyday and I hope to one day I'll be respected among the Kings and Queens of horror.
The story is well written it is part 2 of a series but could be read by itself it centers around a family and is told in a way that flows together very well and by the end of the book you have gotten to know every one I hope that there are more book by this talented author
A very fitting and scary follow-up to Stephanie Boddys The House On Poultney Road. You can on occasion ( or I did at least ) become a little confused as to where the paranormal activity is occurring. On the whole a good read for a dark Autumn night. Recommended.
This was a perfect continuation of the first book, and I was so happy to be back in the world of these characters or actual people I guess, since it's based on reality. Truly recommend and loved how realistic it actually was, the author was a key to make it scary while staying realistic with that creepy factor remaining, the one that was ever-present from the first book! Will look for more from this author, this was a quick and fascinating read.
Reading both "The House on Pultney Road" and "It Found Me" I followed the four generations of the family which all began with Richard and Ellen. We learned about the usual ghosts running around the house appearing to most of the family. So this read like a pleasant novel of all of Richard's paranormal experiences. It wasn't scary, but it's about a family living casually with for 60 years with the spirits still around.
This story was very well told. I have never had paranormal experiences but I believe the stories of those who have. I will never play with Ouija board, especially after reading this family's story. This was a great read. If you are interested in reading about true paranormal experiences, make sure you read this one.
Read both books and found then chilling and at the same time fascinating, l think we all wonder if there is an afterlife, and if what is written here is true words, then the answer is yes, well worth the read, and we can only hope God is on the other side and if there are restless souls, they find him
These two books have been a pleasure to read. I only wish there was more. Once you get involved in this family's story
The characters become so real. you no longer see them as even characters .its as if they are friends that you are catching up on theirs lives thru the pages of a diary.
I like that she told her story, the story of her family with an open and sincere account of the events. You can believe or not in the paranormal and still enjoy the book.
I enjoyed this book. I like haunted house true stories and this one fit the bill. Very believable, this family has been haunted for several generations. Be sure to read the first book first, House on Poultry Road.
I very much enjoyed this book, and well as the first book. I'm a firm believer in the afterlife. Well written about the experiences of 4 generations of one family.
