The Krewe of Hunters: an unusual FBI unit, solving unusual crimes.
See where—and how—this elite group first began.
PHANTOM EVIL FBI agent Jackson Crow is haunted by the deaths of two teammates. Just like New Orleans police officer Angela Hawkins, Jackson has the gift—or the curse—of paranormal intuition. Both are drawn into an apparently unsolvable case involving the death of a senator’s wife. Suicide, murder—or the work of ghosts?
HEART OF EVIL A man’s corpse is discovered on Donegal Plantation in Louisiana—exactly where patriarch Marshall Donegal had been found dead in the 1860s. Heiress Ashley Donegal turns to the Krewe of Hunters, which includes an old flame of hers, Agent Jake Mallory. Ashley and Jake are determined to get to the root of the evil, and the secrets, that haunt the plantation.
SACRED EVIL The body of a promising young starlet has been found between two of Manhattan’s oldest graveyards, and the details of the crime scene are no coincidence. Detective Jude Crosby recognizes the tableau: a recreation of Jack the Ripper's gruesome work. Jude calls on Krewe member Whitney Tremont, and what they learn is far more shocking than either could have predicted…
THE EVIL INSIDE Long ago, a historic New England house was the witness to madness…and murder. Now, the horrific murders begin again, with a teenage boy the main suspect. Krewe member Jenna Duffy investigates, with the help of attorney Samuel Hall.

I’ve read a few of the books here and there from later in the series, but I was itching to see how the Krewe of Hunters started. I enjoyed the first book a lot. NOLA is always a safe bet for a murder mystery of the paranormal sort, and this didn’t fail to deliver.
Of the four books I enjoyed Phantom of Evil (01) and Sacred Evil (03) the most - great premise, good mystery and great characters - while The Evil Inside (04) just wasn’t my cup of tea. I found the religious angle very tropey, and I wasn’t at all enthused about Jenna and Sam’s rocky relationship. Even a great setting like Salem couldn’t save it.
However in Heart of Evil (02) my problem was Ashley. A loving granddaughter she might be, but she also came across as very self righteous. Here’s a woman who does see/dream of ghosts, but she’s all over Jake about his ability. I liked her, but her attitude frustrated me to no end. Did love old Frazier though.
All up, a great way to spend a day. Will definitely be picking up the next bundle.
Wow. I have read many of Heather Graham’s books since the early 80’s and have enjoyed them. However, this series(Krewe of Hunters) is her best in my opinion. I read books from early medieval to the Georgian era and have a few, let’s say, 10 favorite authors. I must feel the action and emotions, see the colors, smell the redolence, smile, laugh, and cry while reading. Thank you Heather Graham. On to volume 2.
I started this series by reading the first book in Kindle Unlimited and was hooked. I had to get the first boxed set and the second one. They are excellent reads.
This series has everything, murder, mystery, romance, and a bit of the paranormal. It makes my book reading heart happy. Sit back and enjoy this series that has everything a book lover could want.
Each mystery is a page turner. They are hard to put down. The order of hunters is introduced in the first book but each seems to have their story. Can't wait for more!
I love the combination of ghosts and logic. It is very hard to guess who “done it” which makes for an interesting read. I love the characters and how well you get to know each one.
Not ghost hunters, exactly. More evil-hunting, this Krewe. The first book has a New Orleans setting, where the Krewe is formed. They make a great team.
Spooky and romantic! Nice twists to the plot, I don't want to give any hints so I'll just say I figured out half but not the whole. And I shook my head at myself because I should have seen it all!
Characters are believable and ones you would like to have as friends. Story lines are interesting and filled with plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader involved.
I really enjoy her believers and especially the non believers. It always puts an interesting twist into the stories. Anyone who enjoys a good mystery with a little romance in the side will enjoy these stories. Great work!
Stories involving a lot of ghosts are not usually my thing, but I really enjoyed these four books. They are written in such a way that the ghosts are not evil or scary but concerned and helpful, just like some of the living characters. These books are entertaining.
This was a very different type of story that I usually read, but it was a ready good mystery/thriller and I loved the flow of the story. Never a dull spot in the whole book. Plan to read more by this author
I love the Krewe of Hunters series. The story line in each one is awesome!!! Characters are awesome as well. Their is something in this series for everyone.
The books are interesting and make learning about history more enjoyable. Unfortunately, the lack of editing interrupts the flow of the books making making the volume three stars instead of four or five. As a result of the poor editing, sadly, I doubt I will be purchasing anymore books from this author.
