DIVINE HEARTS is not your typical love story, it’s a deeply prophetic, faith centered journey of healing, redemption, and divine alignment. From the very first chapter, I was hooked. This was my first time reading a prophetic love story, and it exceeded every expectation.
The story follows Christopher and Robyn, once a toxic, broken couple torn apart by anger, pride, jealousy and emotional wounds. Once famous couples and public figures, their explosive breakup made headlines. Christopher was promiscuity, and Robyn, driven by jealousy and quick-tempered reactions, often shut down communication. Their love was intense, but flawed.
Until years later, after separate journeys of healing and spiritual growth, God begins to work and nudge them back towards each other. Their reunion wasn’t about rekindling old flames or romance, it was about fulfilling a divine prophetic purpose meant by God.
*What I love the most*:
•The spiritual depth and the message of grace and love.

This contemporary Christian romance is a second chance love story, not usually my fave trope (because honestly, how often do people get back with their ex in real life? 👀😂), but I have to say, the author handled it pretty well here.
The faith themes were strong and beautifully woven in 💒🙏, and I especially appreciated the reminder of how God’s love heals and restores. The romance itself was sweet and tender, even if I wished for more external challenges, a deeper dive into the MC’s chaotic backstory (flashbacks would’ve been perfect 👌), and just a bit more drama to keep me clutching the pages.
That said—the cover and interior design? Absolutely lovely! 🌺 A real plus to the whole reading experience.
If you’re into faith-driven romance, second chances, and gentle, hopeful storytelling, this is definitely one you’ll enjoy. 💕

The book follows Christopher and Robyn, two people bound by a promise , yet separated by pain, mistakes, and time. What stands out is how real their journey feel, it's not a perfect love story, but one shaped by heartbreak, growth, and spiritual struggle.
One of the themes that stood out most for me in the book was that of divine timing. It reminds we readers that God’s promises don’t always unfold the way we expect, but they are never forgotten. It doesn't matter how unlikely it may seem or how the situation around us looks, God's words over our lives always comes to pass.
Christopher and Robyn went through the stage of rebellion, healing, and divine transformation, all orchestrated by God to fulfill his divine purpose for their lives.

The first book I read from this series was one I enjoyed, but Divine Hearts by Karen Oke was something entirely different. This book didn’t just pull me into the story; it knocked me off my feet.
There are books you read and enjoy, and then there are books that somehow find a place inside you. This was one of those books for me.
I think most of us can relate to a story like this. Maybe it was your first love. Maybe your second. Maybe your last. We all have moments in our lives that we wish we could go back to. Words we said that we can never take back. Things we did that we wish came with a rewind button. Choices we made without knowing how deeply they would affect the rest of our lives.
As I read about Robyn and Christopher, something unexpected happened. Somewhere along the way, I stopped feeling like I was simply reading their story.
I was reading mine.
Their story brought back feelings I haven't thought about in a very long time. It reminded me of who I was, who I loved, the choices I made, and the things I wish I could have done differently.
The ending wasn’t mine.
But the beginning certainly was.
And maybe that’s why this book affected me so deeply.

The beginning of the book felt slow and repetitive. The characters never discussed a significant event from their past, leaving me to speculate that it was cheating. The story felt superficial, and I didn’t connect with the characters. We only learned that they had a troubled past involving physical and borderline verbal abuse, and that they were both singers. However, we never saw them perform or interact with their fans. Robyn had a concert, and he was in the audience, but none of her fans acknowledged him. This was never mentioned online, in tabloids, or by them again. (They are supposed to be super famous and adored by the media, yet they can go out without being bombarded by photographers and fans.) At his engagement party, Christopher revealed a new project he had initiated to assist emerging artists in the industry. This project was never mentioned before this night, and only brought up one other time after.
Every conflict or situation seemed designed to prompt them to express profound thoughts about God and his timing for them. Their relationship with God felt superficial as well.
I genuinely wanted to enjoy this book and explore more Christ-centered romance novels. Unfortunately, this one fell short of my expectations.

This one felt like a testimony, not just a story.
Robyn and Christopher’s relationship started in passion and the spotlight, but their lack of boundaries and unhealed wounds broke them in ways that felt very real. Years later, after surrendering their lives to God and doing the hard individual work, He brought them back into each other’s path and that’s where the beauty really began.
What I loved most was that God restored them individually first. Their relationship didn’t become healthy overnight. You could see the tension of past pain, the way their nervous systems still tried to protect them expecting old patterns to repeat. But watching them slow down, communicate, and choose each other differently this time was powerful. It felt like a true picture of how God changes hearts and rewrites what once felt broken.
Their commitment to honoring God and placing Him at the center of their relationship was so evident and it created something powerful and relatable.
This story is full of hope, healing, and redemption. If you’ve ever walked through a hard season in marriage or know what it’s like to love someone through growth and change, this one will speak to you.

Are you looking for a wholesome, Christian contemporary romance?, look no further. Divine Hearts is a story of healing, redemption and second chances. It tells the story of Robyn and Christopher who were inseparable love birds, but were separated by hurt and a scandal. Their story didn't end there as God turned their mess into a message.
What I enjoyed in the story is the deep spiritual awakening and how God is at the centre, teaching that whatever he has promised would surely manifest, however long it takes.
I also liked that, they didn't gloss over their past, they acknowledged it and sought ways to move past it all.
This book is a perfect reminder, that God does not write off anyone that comes to him and there is always room for redemption if we seek one.

Christopher believed Robyn was to be his wife but the two breakup after trials arose in their relationship. However that love never left them. Robyn had a tendency of running away when things got heated, Christopher had a way of getting upset when anything arose in their relationship.
God gently put them apart, worked on them indivivualy, working on their faith and patience then he put them back together again. A very inspirational read!

Divine Hearts is a beautiful reminder that no matter your past, once you are in Christ, you are made new. Your past doesn’t define you, and when you let God lead, everything begins to align.
Love is sweet, but love done God’s way is even sweeter, healthier, purer, and more beautiful. Christopher and Robyn’s story shows how love built outside God can fall apart, but when rebuilt on His word, it becomes calm, patient, and truly fulfilling.
I would have loved to see more of Christopher’s relationship with his sister, but overall, this is a 4⭐️ read for me, a truly beautiful and faith-filled story every Christian should experience.

Reading Divine Hearts gave me one message: God is a God of second chances.
In Robyn and Christopher's story, we see how grace and growth can come together to form individuals into what God wills them to become.
These two had something together, but because of their immaturity and unreadiness, it tore them apart.
Their story taught me that the place of personal growth and development is essential in sustaining a relationship. God's work in these characters also showed me that no one is too far gone. His grace and mercy are sufficient to make us to that person that conforms to His image.

This book was an absolute joy to read😍 I loved Robyn and Christopher’s love story so much!!! I couldn’t put the book down, it felt so real and it’s so uplifting and edifying!
It is so clear the story is Holy Spirit inspired; the faith elements are so well woven throughout the story

This novel pulled at my heartstrings in so many ways. It was very interesting to read, I could not put it down. I gained so much from it, my faith and hope in love were all renewed. I feel much more hopeful about God's plan for my love life after reading this. It was very well written. God's time is absolutely perfect.

Divine Hearts is a story of faith and a reminder of what God can do with broken people. In God’s hands, broken pieces can still become something beautiful.
The story explores reconciliation with the very people we once broke away from, showing that healing sometimes brings us full circle, it's something new that I'm coming to accept personally too.
