Her entire life, Ardath has wanted to do one save people in a way no one managed to save her mother. After growing up without any real family, she wants to spare others from the same fate. She’s come up with a brilliant plan to save even more lives, if only she can fund it.
Albert Devonshire the fourth—whose friends call him Ace—founded a successful gaming company that he loved running. . .until his dad got sick. When he takes over management of the family-owned chain of hospitals, he discovers his Dad’s been struggling with dementia for a while. The business is in shambles, and his mother’s spending isn’t helping anything.
When a young, beautiful doctor asks for funding to launch a program she’s clearly passionate about, he hates turning her down, but he has no choice. They’re one do-gooder program away from shutting down.
Ardath doesn’t take his refusal very well, and the more time Ace spends around Ardath, the more he hates being her enemy, but he can’t let the family empire collapse over yet another crush. Can Ardath and Ace make peace, or will their duties to their families set them irrevocably at odds. . .forever?
Bridget loves her husband (every day) and all five of her kids (most days).
She’s a lawyer but does as little legal work as possible. She has three quarter horse geldings, a Holsteiner (jumping) horse, and she spends too much time riding and not enough time writing. (Or too much time writing and not enough time riding, depending on your perspective!)

Wow. I started this book before bed, planning to read a chapter or two. But I could. Not. Put. It. Down! I binged basically the entire book and loved it.
We’ve seen Ace and Ardath in previous books of this series and I loved this matchup! Ace’s world is turned upside down when his dad gets sick and he steps in as CEO at the hospital where Ardath is both an ER Doctor and the Medical Director. These two started off at odds and in a fake relationship but it quickly morphed into real with such deep and heartfelt feelings on both sides. This book has a lot of family - found family, foster, and beyond. There are plenty of swoony kiss scenes. I just could not get enough of these two and how tender Ace was with Ardath. I blazed through this book and I cannot wait for the next one! The romance is just kisses, intimacy level 3.

I received an eARC of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Persistent! When Ardath is denied support for her idea about finding allergies at an early stage, she finds another way to make it happen. But Ace, the interim CEO of the hospital where she works, is not inclined to let her just go. When they meet again at the wedding of Ardath’s brother Jake, their attraction grows. Ardath asks him to be her fake boyfriend and Ace takes advantage of this opportunity. Meeting Dave and Seren, their foster children with partners again, paints all the different personalities and the way they make a family. Both Ace and Ardath learn about their blood family, good and bad, but also it gives them more background what happened before they were born and how in influenced their childhood. Not letting themselves be overwhelmed by inherited problems, they find a way to overcome them together. What a wonderful, feel good, story! I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
No Good Deed may be my favorite one yet. I know I say that a lot but honestly I love this one so much! This one was was full of nerdy references and it had so much heart. There was a twist that I did not see coming and it made this book everything. ❤️ I found myself giving Ardath pep talks and talking Ace through his insecurities. I love how the other characters show up in all the books. This series would make an amazing Halmark series and I am so here for it. And I love that the Target employee was named Bekah with a book shelf that sounded identical to mine. I have a fair share of these beautiful special edition books of Bridget's and they are gorgeous. I wish I was Ardath so I could have them all. 😆😊 Anywhoo, I love the way Bridget writes and I can confidently say that this is another number one book for me. ❤️
This is such a wonderful read. Ardath is a doctor and looking to save more lives by asking Ace for funding into finding allergies at an early age. Ace, who has stepped into his fathers shoes to try and save the family-owned chain of hospitals which is worse then he thought, after his dad got sick unfortunately has to say no. It cannot say why and so the two become at odds. It’s a complex situation that draws you in as we follow this wonderful couple in their journey of self discovery and attraction to get to an ending that leaves you with a smile and a warm heart. It’s a fantastic addition to this incredible series!
No Good Deed will leave you thinking, what can I do better in my life. Ardath has tried her whole life to make both of her Mom's proud of her. She grew up with only her Mom, no Dad. Seren is her foster Mom and Ardath is blessed to have two Moms. She is a doctor now and wants to find a way to help children be tested for allergies. She approaches Ace and his hospital group for help. She never expects what happens after that. This story will give you another chance to see what's up with Ardath's siblings and life in Scarsdale. A great series to read. I was given an ARC copy of the book by the author for an honest review.
Such a good reminder that people are not always as they seem, and that background can make a difference for understanding. Ardath and Ace are great characters with complexity that makes them seem real. It's always interesting following up with characters from previous books. I enjoyed the interactions of the siblings on Ardath's side.
I absolutely loved this couple! They were so sweet together and their interactions were so cute. I loved watching them develop as a couple and rooting for them. Five stars!
