Darcie thought she escaped the Immortals. Creator help her… she was dead wrong.
Back in Maine, Darcie is trying to rebuild her life—college classes, a steady job, and dating her childhood crush. All she wants is a future that doesn’t involve reincarnated soulmates or blood-soaked politics. But something’s wrong.
Darcie is changing, and deep down, she knows it has something to do with Des—the immortal who claimed there was nothing between them… then left her heart in ruins.
When the Immortals find out what’s happening, her illusion of normal shatters. If Darcie wants to stay out of their rebellion, she’ll have to uncover the truth about what’s awakening inside her. But that means confronting Des and the connection he swore didn’t exist.
The closer Darcie gets to the truth, the more secrets she uncovers, and the harder it is to determine what is real... and what, exactly, she is becoming.

This had so many twists and turns I am still processing all that happened by the end. Darcie truly has the patient of a saint. The constant danger, lies, secrets and gaslighting would have sent me over the edge and on the run. I am glad her anger emboldened her to confront those around her, because their actions really left a lot to be desired in this one. What truths she did uncover were truly surprising, and I'm so excited to see where she goes next with them. I feel like we really got to know everyone better and understand their motivations. I do understand the whys behind their actions, but they really need to get it together and watch how they are treating my girl. Darcie went through it in this one in so many ways, I just want her to get a bit of a break in the next one. Or come into her power and take down the whole system. I totally support a villain arc if that makes her thrive. We support women's rights and wrongs in this household.
Still a good series, but the hot and cold from Des, and the constant love him/hate him from Darcie started to get a little old. Ends on a cliffy, so of course I have to read book 3, which isn’t out yet 😡. Good series!
I am really glad that Darcie finally got the chance to date her childhood crush even though she broke his heart in the end. I think she needed the opportunity to see for herself why he wasn’t the one she truly loves. I am glad she was able to be honest with herself and Kevin to end the relationship early. I love all the dreams/visions she experienced. This finally gave us readers a chance to see Des admit that Darcie is his one. Yay! It was time that he admitted it. Now, I am curious about this curse Darcie is said to have. I know she is worried that it’ll lead to her doom; but I am hoping it’ll lead to her discovering how powerful she really is. Sadly I think she’ll have to endure some drama from her mama. So excited for book 3 so Darcie can help to save Bella.

I loved this book so hard! I couldn't wait to get my paws on Book 2 & it did NOT disappoint! Action, twists, turns, surprises & payoffs galore from characters we love & even love to hate! LOL
I'm working really hard to sit on the spoilers that just want to fly off my fingers here...I won't be THAT reviewer, but lemme just tell ya, it ain't easy! LOL
That said, when I hit the last page? Yeah, I got the oddest look from hubby because there I am at something like 3-ish AM just popping up & going "No way! Are you sh*tting me?!"
I did not see that coming & now I am going to be (im)patiently waiting for Book 3 because holy smokes this is gonna get even better!.

Des wants nothing to do with her so she feels helpless but she has Kayla and Kevin. Darcie has gotten a job at a local coffee shop and is going to school. She is having these dreams about the immortals esp Des. But when accidents start to happen to her she notices that shes healing faster and is getting headaches. It's the day of her 21st bday and Kayla had plans for it...which includes Bella. A risky kidnapping attempt on Darcie by the Rebels leaves her wondering what it going on and why her? Darcie is fed up with all the secrets and lack of answers from thr immortals esp when it involves her. Drama, intrigue and OMG moments make this a good book.
FMC Darcie- poor lovesick Darcie who keeps putting herself out there MMC Des- he would burn down the world to save her but guards that heart of his nice and tight with ironclad walls around it Spice: heavy kissing and talk of arousal Language: yes (lots of f words) TW: violence, kidnapping, choking, cheating
Tropes: ✨ Fated mates ✨ Touch her and ☠️ ✨ Reincarnation ✨ Immortal beings, vampires, warlocks/witches ✨ Found Family
✝️ Christian Connection - Not really any besides talk of a Creator but nothing like the real one true God
Book two and Darcie thinks she has escaped the immortals and gone back to a normal life. Date your high school crush, get a steady job, go to class but all is not as it seems and soon Darcie realises that something is not quite right and that she is changing because of Des and that’s out paid to her ‘normal life’. There’s action, there’s drama, there’s twists and turns and surprises and an ending that I admit I did not see coming! I am super excited for book three.
Darcie is back home in Maine and tries to put everything that happened in the last book behind her but that does not go so well. A well written second story that took the setup from the first and just had me glued to the end to see all the drama and twists that popped in. I laughed and groaned and loved it all.
Darcie is living the life, going to college and dating her high school sweetheart. Now she is feeling different but what is she feeling? Is she changing? Does she want to be around the immortals? So many questions that there are no answers to right now.

Well this book could not have given you more. All I can say is wow. This book just kept world building and character growing. You find out more creatures in the immortal world and you get a bit of a shocker x 2 in this book. An yet again we end on a cliff hanger. I’m absolutely desperate for more.

Very complex charming book love head continues from the first one. The author knew what she was doing with the characters and how to describe them. Would recommend for anyone wanting a action and fantasy book.

I loved Immortal Curse! It was such a joy to reunite with Des and Darcie. Their story continues to unfold and becomes even more complex.
Des frustrated me even more in this book! We start to understand better why he keeps denying his feelings for Darcie, despite how obvious they are.
On her side, Darcie goes through a whirlwind of emotions and self-doubt.
There are lots of twists and action in the second half of the book. The pacing at the beginning is a bit slower, but it’s worth it because the story really deepens.
We also learn more about Eshe and Bella. I was very pleasantly surprised by Eshe in this installment.
And wow big disappointement from Thane toward the end!
Of course, the book ends on a massive cliffhanger that makes you want to dive straight into the next one.
Amazing follow-up to the first book! Love the push and pull of Des and Darcie! This book took me deeper into the world and its characters. But the twists and the cliffhanger! I cannot wait for part three.

Try as she might Darcie just can’t seem to move on with her life and as the story ramps up so does the mystery surrounding Darcie. Now if we can only figure out why all these 🔥 men want her. 4 ⭐️ from me.

I am both interested and extremely frustrated by this series. Information is so slowly given. I don't understand Des' refusal to recognize his One. I definitely want to know more about Alex, and I hope things end up ok with Kayla and Kevin.
This sequel raises the stakes in all the right ways. The writing is sharp, the pacing keeps you hooked, and the mix of fantasy, romance, and mystery deepens beautifully. I loved how the tension built from page to page, with secrets unfolding and emotions running high. It’s immersive, addictive, and left me eager for the next chapter in Darcie’s journey.
Darcie is now back in her world trying to pretend everything is normal but can't keep her mind away from Des. The stakes have been raised and the story developed wonderfully.
As always I am at the edge of my seat. I cannot wait to get my hands on the immortal mark next. What an amazing twist for Darcie. Also I adore Alex so much it hurts.
