Perfect for fans of Christina Lauren, Emma Chase, and Maya Banks, the anticipated finale in New York Times bestselling author Monica Murphy’s sexy contemporary romance series about three fiery and determined sisters with their own ideas about life and love.

I’m in trouble. Again. And instead of facing my problems head on, I’ve run away. Far away this time, and no one can catch me—not my two younger sisters, Violet and Rose, not my father, my grandmother, or that witch Pilar who wants to take control of my family’s cosmetics company. Now I’m in Hawaii, enjoying the sun and the sand and water, where nobody knows the hot mess known as Lily Fowler. And I’m loving every minute of it.

But someone is watching me. Following me. He’s gorgeous. And soon we’re talking, and against all my instincts, I reveal bits and pieces of myself to Max. It feels good, though I know he can’t be the man for me. These sudden feelings we share are way too complicated, too fraught, too intense.

Then everything explodes and I’m forced to return home. My intentions have always been true, but now everyone’s mad at me. I don’t know who to turn to anymore . . . except to Max. He’s who I want to trust. But I’m not so sure I should. Maybe it’s worth the risk—and what-ifs be damned. . . .

I am a huge fan of Monica Murphy, I think I have read just about every book she has written. This series started out a little slower for me, but with each book I loved them more. This last book, Lily’s book, is my absolute favorite!

Lily Fowler is the oldest daughter, usually that means the most responsible or leader – not Lily. No Lily is full of drama. She has been known as the party girl and is known for making wreckless decisions. I loved seeing the real Lily and getting her POV.

The story begins with Lily on the run, we don’t know what has happened, but we know she is running from choices. Lily runs Hawaii and the majority of the story takes place at this fabulous resort on the beach. We quickly meet Max, a private investigator hired to follow Lily and get her laptop.

Max is the exact opposite of the guy Lily would normally go for, but once he saves her she is completley intrigued by him. Max, like most knows of Lily, but has no idea there is more to her than the tabloids tell. He doesn’t know that beneath the beautiful façade is a girl struggling.

Taming Lily is action packed and sexy as hell, no really, crazy hot. Max and Lily have tons of chemistry and there is enough angst and drama to keep you eager to turn the page. I loved how the story developed and we finally saw some conclusions with the Fluer Cosmetics. However, my favorite part was watching Lily and Max fall in love.

If you haven’t read this series, I highly recommend jumping in. Each book is about a different couple, but the backstory is constant throughout the books.

Taming Lily is the third and final installment of the Fowler Sister series. Lily has been the hot mess of an older sister, the one in the tabloids and causing quite the stir compared to her more socially graceful sisters. Getting into trouble is nothing new for Lily, but this time her actions aren’t just going to land her on TMZ or the latest tabloid rag... this time she might actually be in danger.

Escaping New York and the threats, Lily finds herself being watched by a handsome stranger. Max has kept his distance, waiting for the perfect time to strike. Know that he must first gain her trust before he can make his move... the only problem is once he gets close, he doesn’t seem to want to get the distance he’ll need to carry out his job.

When Lily returns to New York she never expected Max, the stranger she let in to return – to want to protect her. But trust has already been broken and Lily is going to have to make a choice.

I think of all the sisters I was looking forward to Lily’s book the most. I figured that there had to be something far deeper to the socialite than what we had been shown. And although we do get that depth, I was sort of left feeling let down by the pace of this story. I wanted her to be a bit more broken and vulnerable in the scheme of things and though she did guard herself with Max, she gave in far more often than she resisted. I think the angst whore in me really wanted to watch her battle her feelings more. I wanted Max to break her down and build her back up.

Overall this series was a solid read, I think book one was by far the stand out of the series though.

I am big fan of Monica Murphy and I must say that I absolutely loved Taming Lily, the third installment of The Fowler Sisters. From the opening pages to the very last page, I loved every moment of Taming Lily. This book was filled with so much passion, sensuality, sexiness, and steam that readers like myself couldn't help but be consumed with this sinful romance.

Lily Fowler is the eldest Fowler sister and has been known in the previous two books as the wild party socialite heiress. She is no stranger to the paparazzi and disappointments. While her other sisters, Rose and Violet are happily paired with their significant other, Lily is the only one yet to find that love. Will Lily ever find that one, whom she will let her guard down?

#TamingLily1

So when Lily suddenly flies to Maui to escape New York City, readers are curious as to why. We soon learn that Lily uncovers email exchanges that could ruin Fleur Cosmetics. All these vital information is stored in her laptop and Lily escapes to Hawaii in order for her to regroup and think how she would handle the situation. Lily thinks she's alone and no harm can come to her since no one knows of her whereabouts. But what Lily doesn't know is that a private investigator was trailing Lily and was hired to steal her laptop.

Max had only one job to do: get the laptop. His objective was simple and straightforward but soon Max finds himself tangled in a web of emotions and guilty conscience when he begins a sexual relationship with Lily. Can Max fulfill his mission and secure the laptop? Or will his growing attraction to Lily make him rethink of his objective?

#TamingLily

Taming Lily was a sensual, consuming, and captivating romantic suspense read. Ms. Murphy engages readers with this hot, tangible and palpable bond between Lily and Max. The chemistry between them was an all consuming passion that can be felt throughout the book. I loved that the author allowed readers to FEEL the vulnerability of both characters. The emotions were raw and Ms. Murphy truly captured that as feelings of love begins to bloom for Max and Lily. The writing and story line was beautifully done when truths and secrets are slowly unraveled. So if you are looking for a book that is brimming with passion, steam, and romance then I highly recommend you to read Taming Lily. I think this book is my favorite installment of The Fowler Sisters.

Monica Murphy writes a sinfully sexy and steamy story. But the romantic in me didn’t feel adequately wooed.

Lily Fowler is an incredibly beautiful, rich and smart woman with low self-esteem and too much time on her hands, filling it up moonlighting as a computer hacker. While going through the corporate and personal email of her father’s girlfriend Pilar, Lily discovers Pilar has been unfaithful to her father and is also scheming to take over her family’s empire and planning to get rid of her sisters in the process. The problem is she doesn’t have enough evidence and is afraid to tell her family what she does know. So she takes her computer and escapes to Maui.

Enter Max Coleman, ex-military private investigator with ethics. Having been forewarned by Lily, Pilar knows she’s been discovered and hires Max. Max’s sixth instincts tell him that what he’s been hired to do is a bit shady. But he still feels the need to do his job, which is to follow and steal the computer with the incriminating emails.

I feel this book can go one of two ways for a reader depending on their expectations. If read as an erotic romance, you’ll probably love it, because it is incredibly hot. Or you can read thinking it’s a romance like I did and be left dissatisfied like it did me because not even the copious amounts of molten hot sex scenes will be enough.

I’m sorry to say I found too many things wrong with the plot and characters. I understand that Lily’s relationship with her father isn’t a good one. But she’s stumbled upon very important and critical information regarding her family’s future but she won’t even tell her sisters and goes to have fun in the sun?

Then there’s the fact that she’s seemingly brilliant with computers but can’t find a way to get more information to put a stop to that evil woman’s coup? And once she realizes that in fact her computer is gone what worries her the most are the pictures of her on said computer. If she was so embarrassed by them, deleting them would be easy enough, right?

Lily’s computer is the reason the main characters meet and the plot leads the reader to believe it’s the key that will make or break the Fowler family’s empire. Being a software engineer I can name at least three reasons why this is flimsy at best. But the entire computer/convicting information is left in the background of what is the sultry insta-love relationship between Max and Lily.

I just couldn’t find it in me to like either one of the main characters. Of course Max was a sexy, domineering alpha. But I could never get over the fact that he would seduce, lie and use Lily to get the computer.
“I need to get my shit together and temporarily earn back Lily’s trust. S8ck up to her, sweet-talk her, tell her how sorry I am, make up a few lies, get her in bed, f*ck her until she passes out, and then take that f*cking laptop once and for all.”

As for Lily, putting her mediocre hacking job aside and the fact that she made one mistake after another, I could just not understand how she forgave Max five minutes after he came forth with his treachery and five minutes after that she found a way to make him the hero of her family’s affairs.
“He told of how he was hired by Pilar, how he followed me to Maui, got to know me, got closer to me, and then stole the laptop.”
____________
“Pride makes my chest fill with emotion. He’s so smart, so competent, so incredibly strong and kind. Look at how easily he want to help my sister, my entire family. Me.”

I really wish this book was classified under erotica. I usually don’t pick books in that genre but I would have definitely read this one with a completely different mindset, because the chemistry between the main characters is scorching hot, the scenery is of course beautiful in Maui and then moved to exciting New York.

I recommend this book if you’re looking for a flaming hot erotic romance.

Book Facts: Taming Lily is book #3 in the Fowler Sisters series by Monica Murphy. It’s written from both points of view. Can be read as a standalone with a happy ending.

Considering nobody has read this book yet, I think it's really unfair that someone has given it two stars, so to even it out I'm giving it five stars until I read it for myself and make an honest opinion. #sharethelove #justbeingfair

Reihe beendet - Whoop whoop!

It's crazy, how fast I've fallen for her, but I'm done denying it.

It was sizzling hot, but the hero kinda destroyed it.

Max was a private investigator assigned to retrieve a laptop with sensitive information from Lily, the oldest and the wildest among the Fowler sisters. As he stalked her, the attraction that he felt towards her gradually grew. He planned to seduce her and acquire the laptop's password but he ended up falling for her instead.

If there was one thing that I disliked in this book so much, it would be the hero. Max acted like he was some horny seventeen-year old kid who used his penis as his brain.

Look, I don't mind heroes who having raging libidos since most of them know how to control it. Max wasn't one of them. Oh, no. From the very beginning, from the very first time he saw Lily, all he thought was how attractive she was, how he wanted to screw her.

His desire for her was too much it hindered even his work and even made excuses just so he could do her. He was all like, “I'm gonna screw her and make her trust me to acquire the password for her laptop.” Duuude, you have hackers. Why not just steal the laptop and get over with it? Gaaaaah.

With Lily, I appreciated that she had hacking skills but it would be more convincing if what she did was elaborated. Just saying somebody could do something without showing that she could was never enough for me.

One of the redeeming qualities this book had was the sex scenes. I wouldn't recommend reading this in public because it might get you hot and flustered with how graphic it was.

If you're a fan or Sylvia Day or Maya Banks, this is a read that I'll guarantee you'll love.

Monica Murphy has done it yet again for me, thank God! Taming Lily is a compelling story with a smart woman, a deceiving man, and a passion that consumes them both. An easy 5 wicked and sinful stars is what I give to Taming Lily.

Lily is the eldest Fowler daughter. She's the wild child who acts out, parties too much, and "wastes away" while using her inheritance to live. Lily lets everyone see what she wants them to see, a bombshell who likes to have a good time, rather than the girl who wants to be loved and cherished. I was on the fence about Lily in the previous books but have to say that this book made me love her.

Max is something else. I mean, when we meet him he's stalking Lily to steal her laptop. What a way to meet someone! Max is a private investigator and is very good at his job until he gets a job to get Lily Fowler's laptop. He can't help the lust and attraction he feels towards her and finds himself giving into temptation, the consequences be damned.

Max and Lily burn up the sheets, and whatever other surface they touch when they go at it like rabbits. They can't get enough of one another and it isn't just physical. They begin to care for each other and it leads down a dangerous path considering who hired Max and why.

The story moves well and keeps you engaged. There's tense moments where you aren't sure how the scene will play out but you are hoping for the best. There's moments you really should not read in public because they are intense, steamy, and downright naughty. I love that Murphy can spin an engaging story line without letting sex overpower it.

3 where's the hot mess stars

I have loved every fowler but I wanted lily story. This one has the largest amount of raunch but the shortest amount of story... I'm just not sure how I feel
Dear lily.. why do you even need to be tamed? You are the tamest character in the entire series but all your sisters called you the wild child!
And sadly Lily doesn’t knock it out of the park with an alpha male.. I mean the author tried to tell us he was an alpha but truly he was annoying and there relationship seems just like a sex fueled affair that will fizzle because for a 25 year old fowler shes an emotional teenager.
I can forget about Lily when she follows Violet’s and Rose’s story because those two are amazing

I liked this one better than the last one. Max was awesome. Lily had a 180 degrees different than I thought she was going to be based on everything said in the first two books. I guess getting scared sh!tless will scare you straight. My only problem with it was the ending felt rushed. I don't think Pilar got enough punishment.

This review may contain SPOILERS!
Honestly, I'm glad this series is over, not that it was bad allover, but this book just revolved around them hooking up ... ALL ... THE ... TIME! I don't even know how they got emotionally entangled in all this, cause it felt like they exchanged basic information and the next thing I knew they were doing it. I got that Lily always felt a bit insecure about how loveable she is due to her parents and grandma critizing her every move, but constantly stating that nobody loves her or is on her side while her sisters are figuratively waving a "You go, gurl!"-flag is the most self-absorbed thing in this book. Also, the fact that we didn't get to know Max that well, considering all they did was the horizontal tango was a tad disappointing as well!
I would've liked a little more depth in their relationship cause the superficial stuff got boring real fast, and then it just felt like every other book I've read. I'm disappointed that this didn't turn out so well, but all in all it was an okay series!

I loved Lily and Max's story and boy was this one a scorching hot read!! Max sure knew how to keep things steamy in the bedroom so get ready for some sexy reading with this last book of the series. This story started out a little more slow paced than the previous books, however this one did had a much bigger plot to it. I was intrigued from the very beginning by Lily. She had something to hide, something she was running away from. And then there was the mysterious Max following Lily's every move. The mystery continued and I had a feeling that something big was going to happen but I had no idea what it was.
"Fate's thrown us together, There's a reason for that, Princess."

Lily Fowler was the rebellious younger sister. She had learned from an early age that being naughty could achieve way more attention than Violet and Rose got so that's how she continued to live her life, but as I discovered in this book, there was far more to Lily than what her family and the media portrayed her to be. Lily deeply loved her father and her two sisters and was continuing to struggle with the loss of her mother when she was just a little girl. All she wanted was to be accepted and loved for being her own person rather than be forced to follow her older sisters footsteps into the family cosmetic business.

Max met Lily in Hawaii, where Lily had escaped to for a last minute vacation. The pair were soon hitting it off and end up having a holiday romance. Max was extremely sexy and fast became addicted to Lily, the couple barely leaving each others side, embarking on one long sexcapade. Lucky Lily!! Now, although I liked Max, I wasn't sure if he was as genuine as he made out. It wasn't just fate that brought Lily and Max together, Max had ulterior motives and I couldn't wait to find out what they were. I just hoped he wasn't going to break Lily's heart.
"You want me to fuck you hard and make you scream. You want me to eat your pussy until you're coming all over my face and squirming like you do. You want it all because no one else makes you feel like I do. No one."

As the story continued I did begin to put the pieces together and realise what Lily had been up to. This made me realise how much Lily did love her family and how far she would go to defend the Fowler legacy, I loved the way that the plot had connected all three of the books and the family together and also how it gave me the chance to catch up with Violet, Ryder, Rose and Caden. The story ended brilliantly. Lily and Max made such a gorgeous couple and I loved how Lily's life had completely changed with Max by her side. All she needed was the love of a good man and she had finally found that with Max. As always, Monica gave me a beautiful epilogue that ended so sweetly that it made me swoon!
"I feel like you were made for me, Lily. That we were made for each other."

"Taming Lily" was a fabulous conclusion to a brilliant series and gets ❤️❤❤️❤️❤️ from me.

Wow, I wanted to love this story so much and had anxiously awaiting Lily's story.

If you are looking for one scorching hot read with off the charts beautiful characters, this is it! However I was hoping for more. Don't get me wrong, I love a sexy story but there needs to be a balance.

This story seemed to be sex scene after sex scene and the entire, laptop recovery plot of the story faded to background noise.

Around 68% the action outside of the sheets started. I couldn't wait for the big reveal and fall-out. Lily's father should have been outraged, but no it was all tied up in a tidy little bow :/

I like to give credit where credit is due and Monica can certainly paint a picture. Her descriptive writing is second to none. However the plot of this story missed the target on so many levels for me.

Owning Violet blew me out of the ballpark I highly recommend it and would have happily read it as a standalone.

I enjoyed all Fowler sister's and their stories. I was anxious to read about Lily and her trouble making ways. The first few chapters drew me in immediately but after Lily was caught the two spent the majority of the book in bed or having sex. I felt that we didn't get to see Lily's true personality.

I like how Monica writes the hero's in this series and Max is no exception. Initially Max is looking out for his business and reputation. He thinks he can get close to Lily and remain unaffected. Slowly he discovers that this is more than a babysitting job. He finds a connection with Lily and doesn't want to let her go.

The author does a good job keeping the reader interested but it was lacking. The plot and storyline needed a bit more. I didn't think Lily lived up to her trouble making ways. Overall, I liked the series despite the want for more of a story for Lily and Max.

Lily is the wild Fowler sister known for her partying and irresponsible lifestyle. Max is hired by Pilar, Lily's fathers girlfriend, to steal Lily's laptop that has information about Pilar on it. Max sees Lily as a job but is instantly attracted to her and can't fight that attraction for long.

I enjoyed this story and this whole series. I was really looking forward to Lily's story because it always seemed like there was more to her, that things weren't exactly as they seemed. Lily is a party girl but there is more to her than that, she's smarter than people know. As much as I liked Lily, I was expecting a little bit more and felt this story was a little too similar to the other two in this series. The best things about this particular book would be Max and Lily's chemistry and how HOT this book was. Max likes to be in control and has a dirty mouth. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by this author.

Taming Lily is the third installment in the Fowler Sister's series. I have not read any of the previous books and although things were mentioned about the other storylines, I had no problem reading this as a standalone. This is a contemporary romance with the island of Maui as a backdrop. The two main characters are used to having control over every aspect of their lives. But when things start to heat up between them, Lily doesn't seem to have much trouble relinquishing the power to Max, at least in the bedroom.

RECENSIONE COMPLETA QUI: https://thereadingslove.blogspot.it/2...

Sexual chemistry and sex scenes were hot between them (Max’s dirty talks were hot!! 🥵), however the romance and emotional connection seems to be lacking, as is the same in the previous book in this series, Stealing Rose. Author spent too much time focusing on the sex scenes than the actual development of romance.

While they did spend some time getting to know one another in Maui, the romance wasn’t fully developed, because there were some lies between them. All in all, an alright book to read to pass the time, but nothing about it screamed to me “OMG they are so in love!”.

I was a huge fan of the first book in The Fowler Sisters series, Owning Violet, but the second book, Stealing Rose, was a let down. I was hoping Taming Lily would renew my love for the series, but sadly, it was only an okay read. I liked it more than Stealing Rose, but not by much. I just didn’t connect with the characters, and the book was too full of sex with little substance to the story. I really wanted to like Lily’s book – while it’s not a bad read, it just wasn’t as good as I’d hoped it would be.

Lily Fowler is the oldest and wildest of the three Fowler sisters. She’s the last of the sisters to fall in love, and Monica Murphy certainly doesn’t make Lily’s journey to love easy. Lily is in Hawaii, on the run from Pillar, Lily’s father’s girlfriend, who is also a total bitch. Lily is a woman with a whole mess of Daddy issues, and she acted out in her earlier years by becoming what everyone thought she was – a spoiled, rich, party girl. Deep down, she’s hurt by her family, who has no faith in her. While I tried to empathize with Lily and her issues, it was hard to – I couldn’t connect with her character, and I found myself annoyed when she never spoke up for herself.

Unfortunately, Lily’s getaway to Hawaii doesn’t go as well as she plans. She nearly drowns in the ocean, but a mysterious man comes out of nowhere and saves her life. She recognizes him as the sexy man who’s been watching her – she’s suspicious of him, but she can’t help feeling attracted to him.

I’m drawn to her, and not just because she’s my assignment. Feeling like this … letting my attraction to her distract me is risky. Stupid.
But I can’t seem to help it.

Max has been hired by Pillar to steal Lily’s laptop, so he follows her on her trip to Hawaii, but he never expects to end up wanting her. There’s a strong chemistry between them they can’t ignore, and once they fall into bed with each other, it becomes explosive. Monica Murphy is fantastic at writing hot, steamy scenes, and Taming Lily didn’t disappoint. There’s good sex in this book, but there was also too much of it – the majority of the time Lily and Max are together is spent in bed. I couldn’t really see how they fell for each other, especially when Max sometimes came off as a little creepy, stalker-wise.

My heart is beating like crazy, pounding to a rhythm that suspiciously sounds like her name. Li-ly. Li-ly. It’s fucking crazy. I’m crazy.
Crazy for her.

Max keeps the reason why he’s in Hawaii a secret from Lily, of course, but secrets can’t stay quiet for long. Max now has to fight for the woman he’s fallen for, all the while protecting her from Pillar.

“I feel like you were made for me, Lily. That we were made for each other.”

There’s no doubt Monica Murphy can write hot chemistry, but the story and characters in Taming Lily felt lacking. I was less than impressed with the way things played out, and I just couldn’t for the life of me connect with the hero or heroine. I was really hoping to like Taming Lily, since I’d been excited for Lily’s book since Owning Violet, but the book ended up only being okay. It’s not necessarily a bad read, but it wasn’t as good as I was expecting.

I've been waiting for this ending all year! ever since we met the vile Pilar, I've been anxious for her to get what's coming to her, and to watch it happen with the backdrop of her arch nemeses, Violet, Rose and Lily, finding their one true loves. Paybacks are a bitch.

Lily is the black sheep of the Fowler clan. A wild, free spirit in her younger days, she did the damage to her relationship with her father and sisters early on, and now they don't trust her to be responsible and trust worthy. Lily has been my favorite from the very beginning. I get wanting to sow your oats while you can instead of being tied down a corporation and the title of "heiress." And, while Lily was the only one with the guts to do it, it sucks that she's paying for it now.

While she still has no desire to work for her father's company - computers are more her thing than cosmetics - she still desperately wants his approval. What daughter doesn't? And, Lily also really misses the closeness with her sisters. But, sometimes coming back from years of questionable decisions is nearly impossible, especially when her father now has an evil witch whispering in his ear and her sisters are preoccupied with their new loves.

Like always, Lily grabs the bull by the horns and decides to try and do something about the witch, at least. When she stumbles onto some questionable goings-on and is nearly caught, she flees to Hawaii to hide and reflect. Lily's hoping that, while she's waiting for the heat to die down, she can also get some perspective on how to get her life back on track. Lily is so lonely and just wants to belong again.

It's in Hawaii that she meets Max, a man she dubs her "watcher," because he always seems to have an eye on her wherever she is at her resort. It makes her feel special for a change. Wanted. She decides to just go with it and soon she finds herself falling in love with this mysterious man that she knows almost nothing about.

Of course, that's intentional on Max's part since he was hired by Pilar to swipe Lily's laptop while she's off guard on vacation. For Max, it's just a job. It's what his company does. But, as he gets to know Lily, he begins to question whether he's working for the wrong side, and whether it matters. If he's getting paid to do his job, he shouldn't get his personal feelings involved. Except, how could they not once he sees how vibrant and alive Lily could be if she wasn't so sad and abandoned? And how nasty and vindictive Pilar is.

Suddenly, Max feels like he's racing against time. He wants to get his ducks in a row before either Lily finds out what he's doing or he has to tell her. But, Lily's smart and is used to people counting her out. Her only chance to find a happy ending is to finally take charge of her life and stop running away from her problems - or a chance at happiness.

I loved Lily in this book. She's been beaten down so many times. I felt so badly for her and wanted so much for her to figure out what it was that would finally make her happy, and then go after it with gusto. It was so satisfying when she finally did that. I wanted to cheer for her.

For Max's part, you could never really fault him for his part in this scheme. He wasn't plotting to take Lily's laptop because he was a thief or a bad person. He was mislead about its status and purpose when his company was hired to track it down. And, although it took him longer than I'd prefer to catch on to who was really the good guy and who was really the bad guy, when he did that, he tried very hard to make it all right.

And the ending, which was what I have been waiting for for three books now, was satisfying. I wish Pilar's downfall would've lasted longer and been a bit more painful, but I'll take what I can get. I'll miss the Fowler sisters now that all of their stories have been told. They were fun and super steamy while they lasted.

" Taming Lily" , is the final book in the fowler sister series, but the first I have read . It can be read as a stand alone but I want to go back and read the first two now, I am very curious about Violet and Rose's hot men.
I admit the title and the cover drew me in but I stayed for the storyline.

Lily Fowler is the notorious Fowler sisters, always in some sort of trouble and in the. Paparazzi 's line of sight, known for her outrage use behavior and wild clubbing, but that is not the Lily we meet; we meet the Lily who is running away, too afraid to face her family with information she has discovered. Lily had boarded a plane for Maui and not told a soul, not even her little sister Rose.
Lily is unaware that though she has dodged the paparazzi , she has a tail in the form of a PI Max Coleman , Max has been hired by Pilar, one of Fluer's management team and she also happens to be Lily's father's fiancé; because the info that Lily uncovered is about Pilar and Pilar does not want it exposed.
Max has been hired to follow Lily and take the laptop computer she is carrying with her .
Unfortunately for Max, he finds himself immensely drawn to Lily and trying to stick to his job , but finding it difficult since he is allowiñg his smaller head to think for him.
Max decides seducing Lily will serve his purpose get her out of his system and into her bungalow to get the computer.
What he does not expect is that he will become attached so quickly because this Lily Fowler is not the one he expects , she is sweet, not spoiled, beautiful and to his unexpected delight submissive to him.

Lily, finds Max attractive and she finds herself more and more drawn to him, always looking for him seeking him out , so out of her norm when it comes to men, but time spent with him she enjoys immensely .

"My body is sated and tired. My brain though is wide awake and full of disturbing thoughts. Like how lonely I am. Despite spending hours with a man who knew just how to touch my body, to make me responding the most outrageous way, I feel alone. Hollow.
Empty."

For Lily, feeling empty and hollow is a bit of the norm , she feels like the outsider in her family, which is why she tend to find trouble after all , bad attention is better than no attention at all .
What Max offers her though is genuine attention and it has Lily start to wish for things that her sisters have , love , husbands and babies , but she still needs to deal with the Pilar issue back home.

Max is becoming frustrated with Pilar, she is nasty and aggressive , nagging about getting the computer which he now believes does not belong to her big his reputation is on the line especially , with someone as aggressive and nasty as her , though he does not want to , he books a flight out for the very next morning and determined to take the laptop tonight, he hates that he will be ruining what he has developed with Lily and hurting her but he should have stuck to his job to start with.
"" After all we've got all night" there is a finality to his statement that sends panic racing through my veins . All night isn't enough , it will ever be enough. But I can't admit that. So I don't."
The next morning Max is gone and so is her computer, home is were Lily heads but what to do now, and she can not believe how much she hurts .
What Max discovers on Lily's computer sets in his mind that he is not turning it over to Pilar , but that he needs to find a way back into Lily's life, not only because he misses her but he needs to protect her.
Monica Murphy delivered a suspense filled romance , with submissive hot sex, danger, deceit and in the end a Hea!
Don't miss out, I am going back to read what I missed out on the first two books.

When I first saw this book I was extremelly intrigued. At first it was because of the cover. Sexy, hot and……. mouthwatering!! Then I read the summary and I remember saying, WOW! I want this book ….. YESTERDAY! So, you can imagine how much the combination of these two made me crave this story. We’re talking about full-blown craving!!

And the craving grew even more when I read the first chapter!

The moment I looked at her photo. I knew

I just about died from the excitement it caused me. And it’s a common knowledge that when you are able to read the thoughts of the male character aka BBF then you simply surrender to this fact. And that’s what Max POV did to me. But not only that….. The “hot and bothered to no end” comes close enough to what effect he had on me :p And, seriously, with that theme of a story and the give-you-a-great-idea cover, what was I expecting? And don’t get me started with the lines of each character because I have o n e thing that i have to say: Holy Freaking Molly!!

But this girl’s rejection, as brief as it was, digs at me. Pisses me off

Plus, it was unbelievably entertaining to watch Max change from the Lily-as-his-assigned-mission case to the Lily-as-his-woman one! Without a boubt, watching a guy like him make an 180 on his feelings for his mission-object was utterly irresistible! Just like he is…..

Anger burns in my gut. Anger and lust. An interesting combo, one I’ve never suffered through before while working

Confession: Many times, I wished to be a fly on the wall so I could watch live the growning of Max and Lily’s relationship and of course be an invisible part of some very ……. special scenes (not only what you imagine) :p

“I felt him before I saw him. His gaze on me. Assesing. Watching.

Monica did a really great work with introducing us Lily’s life while witnessing the rooting of hers and her hot stalker’s undeniable love. Also, it’s developping in a way that allows you, at the same time, to get to know both the characters very well. And what can I say about their love’s book ending!? It’s just so tender and lovely that you can’t stop grinning even after reading the last word with which Murphy makes the conclusion.

And NO! I’m not going to give even a hint about how it ends!!! :p

It’s a book and a series – although i haven’t read the previous two of it – that blows you away immediately. Characters, plot, lines form a love story that is amazingly sweet and quite adventurous because you can never know what Max, especially, is going to do next since he’s the one with the mission of following her.

It’s, also, a book that I definitely recommend to all of you bookworms independently if you like these kind of stories or not. Believe me, it really worthes the try! So, TRY IT!!

“Most everyone in my family does good. I’m the something-awful one. I do stupid things on a regular basis.”

First of all I need to say I was super excited about this novel because it was my first ARC ever.
Second of all I adore Monica Murphy and everything she writes, but this time I was particularly eager to read this because of Lily, the troubled sister. I have been curious about Lily since OW, when she first was described as the rebel one and the black sheep of the family.

description

Just like in the previous novels, the hero Max approaches Lily with questionable intentions. He is a private investigator hired to retrieve informations from Lily's laptop. Obviously things don't go as planned and Max finds himself more and more attracted (not only physically) to her.

Reasons why I LOVED this:

1. Monica Murphy fluid WRITING STYLE. I love not being able to realize I’m turning the pages like crazy.

2. The hero and the SEX SCENES. Damn! MM outdid herself. Max is the kinkiest hero she’s ever written. Maybe. I don’t know. Ryder comes a close second (and he will also be my favorite!).

3. The relationship between the SISTERS. As the series progressed it was nice to see them fix their problems and end up closer than ever.

description

“It’s crazy how fast I’ve fallen for her, but I’m done denying it.”

Things I DIDN’T LIKE:

1. The REPETITIVENESS of the story. I already mentioned how the novels follow the same pattern. And even though I love this kind of story I felt that three books with the same plot were too much.

2. Too much sex and TOO LITTLE ROMANCE. The story takes place during a few weeks. Sometimes it was hard to see how they were able to fall in love, when they spent having sex all the time.

Overall, like every other novels by Monica Murphy it was great and I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us.

I was so excited for this book it was not even funny. I absolutely LOVED Rose and Violet’s books and couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one and it was so WORTH the wait!

Lily is the oldest of the Fowler sisters. She is known for being a trouble maker, so I was very happy to find out who she really is. In reality, she is envious, feisty, vulnerable, and attention seeking. She just wants to be loved and accepted.

“Me. Envious of couples, of other people having someone to love. The girl who doesn’t believe in relationships, who had a daddy complex because he’s so selfish, is wishing she had someone, at least for tonight.”

Enter Max, a PI who is hired to steal a laptop from Lily. He follows her to Maui. What he doesn’t expect is to fall for his mark. The two “meet” unexpectedly and the connection between the two is magnetic.

“I need to get over this…woman. She’s a distraction. I have a job to do. I can’t afford to let lust get in the way of it.”

Once they get their hands on each other, they can’t stop. It is HOT, sexy, and definitely required a change of panties a time or two.

“The way you sucked my cock so hard I came in your mouth. The taste of your pussy, how easy I could make you come, make you scream. How god it felt, my cock buried inside of you, fucking you.”

I adored this story! It was steamy, full of drama and secrets, and oh, so good. It was so sweet watching Lily become who she should be and not her hidden persona that she shows the world. Max was such an amazing man and he was the perfect match for Lily.

I really enjoyed seeing both Rose and Violet and their significant others throughout this story. I can’t wait for more from Ms. Murphy. She is a captivating storyteller and I loved the entire Fowler Sisters series! ~ Tiffany, 4.5 stars
