Jared is Vera's perfect man—until he opens his mouth. An incredible body and set of wings can only go so far when everything he says seems designed to make her mad. Still, she can't deny her intense attraction or the fact that he is the closest thing she has to a friend.

Jared doesn't go for bear shifters, especially ones that are related to his ex, but he can't resist Vera's charm or the way she understands him better than anyone else.

As suspicions build and loyalties are tested, Vera and Jared realize that they may not be able to trust anyone but each other.

I adore this series. In fact, The Crescent Chronicles and The Empire Chronicles, which is a spin-off from that series, are in my top ten favorite paranormal series. Jared, the main male heartthrob in this book, has been one of my favorite characters since the very beginning, and I was so excited about getting more of his story.

Jared has had his ups and his downs throughout the course of the series, and despite the "downs" he's recently experienced, I was so very happy to see him finally with a girl of his own. Jared and Vera are perfect for each other. She is truly "the female version" of Jared, as is reiterated more than once. I loved Vera's character also. She is snarky, strong-willed, independent, and speaks her mind about anything and everything. The sparks that fly between Vera and Jared are more like an inferno, so needless to say, the romances is hot.

As far as the story goes, It was action-packed and had me totally captivated from beginning to end. I literally did not want to put it down. There is never a dull moment in this novel, that's for sure. More mysteries and secrets are revealed, with many more waiting to be solved. The ending of the book has left me dying for the next installment. Though the ending leaves you feeling like saying "No, I want more," it also ended at a point that doesn't leave you feeling devastated and frustrated until the next book comes out, but rather longing for that next installment in a good way. If you are a paranormal romance fan, this this book and this entire series is one you won't want to miss.

I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review, I was in no way compensated for this review.

Alyssa Rose Ivy continues The Empire Chronicles with Savor, but this time, a new heroine and hero are at the helm. Jared and Vera are an unlikely duo, but at the same time, they manage to click with one another. Vera wants to go back home and confront her mother and meet her real father, while Jared is a on mission to find his mother. Their paths are the same it seems, but danger is never far behind.

I only have very vague recollections of what was happening last time with Casey and Toby, and since we have a new heroine and hero, I figure that's okay. But I still wish I had had gobs of time so I could re-read stuff before diving into a continuation or spinoff. I digress.

I loved Jared! I've loved him from the get-go really. And you have no idea, I am still reeling in shock over Tiffany, despite the time I've had to accept. I really thought when we first met Tiffany in the Crescent Chronicles that she would be the one for Jared. But I must say, I do like Vera! Vera is sassy and matches Jared perfectly in the attitude department. So naturally, these two click right away. But alas, they don't want to make anything permanent just yet. They aren't even using "yet" that's just me. They're just happy having fun together. In a way, they do care for one another, but there hasn't been any declarations of true love yet. But I suspect by the end of their story, they'll get there!

For awhile, I wasn't sure what the story would unfold to us, but once we start getting deeper into the plot, secrets arise and prophecies start popping up. Again, the term "prophecy" is my doing, but it's the best word I can use for some of the situations. Though we don't really get that prophecy in full. We get teases of there being some great power to come and behold. Of course I am getting over a cold, so perhaps I missed something and it was explained. It happens.

Regardless, I enjoyed this one just as I have enjoyed just about all Alyssa's Paranormal titles! She's one of those rare authors who writes in Paranormal New Adult and I find myself at the edge of my seat waiting for her next release! Don't even get me started on her Dire Wolves Chronicles! Oh goodness, I likely won't ever shut up! LOL!

While the pacing wasn't as fast as I would've liked, I do blame that partially on my head-cold, it was still a decently paced novel. The ending is what sets us up for more adventures in what is likely to be yet another trilogy of awesomeness. All I can say is when's the next book come out?

If you're a fan of paranormal titles I highly recommend this one! Not only are Alyssa's shifters a bit different than what you normally see, the lore behind them is unique in its way too. This is a world series that basically always has me call for more, more, more, and I just hope that Alyssa has plenty to provide me for the years to come!

Jared and Vera's relationship is interesting neither have a modesty bone in their body they're perfectly comfortable being naked around each other:
He undid his shorts and stepped out of them. Followed by his boxers. “Are you sure?”
“You’re good looking.” And huge. I kept that part to myself, but I’m sure my expression gave me away.
The conversations these two have are just intriguing:
"Big d***s?” He grinned. “Glad you approve.”
“Shut up. My mom’s coming.”
“You are the one who brought up my d*** first.”
“To make a point."
I think these two thrive off the comfort they give each other and the attention Jared sometimes a little too much, "her eyes ran up and down my body. I didn’t mind one bit. “I don’t generally want to have sex with my friends." I love this series I'm always eager for the next book

Vera and Jared are headed to be with her mom and her dad. A dad she didn't know existed until just recently. Jared is along for the ride seeking answers about his own mother. But as the two spend more and more time together, they realize there are feelings there. Just neither one is ready to admit it yet. Will Vera be able to stick around for once and face her future and her parents? Or will she want to take flight the minute things get too uncomfortable for her?

Now, while I wasn't absolutely in love with the last book, I will tell you I was with this one. I am totally digging Jared once again. Boy sure could drive this reader crazy nearly 99% of the time in the past. But it seems he has his act together and I believe it is all thanks to Vera. In fact I know it is. This girl is something special if she can manage the likes of him.

SAVOR has a fabulous story line that kept me reading and waiting in suspense. Each turn held something unexpected and I was pleased with how it all ended. In a friggin’ cliffhanger! But still, I was happy with it. Left me excited for what is to come! Ivy did a great job with this one and I am looking forward to more.

Jared's story!! Yay finally!! Like I said about the last book... Jared has met his match. Vera and Jared are so entertaining. The chemistry between them is palpable and they are so stinkin' funny. This book was full of action and the kind of romance you can feel as you read. The ARC of Savor by Alyssa Rose Ivy was kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.

Savor is the fourth book in (The Empire Chronicles ). In this book we carry on with Jared's pov, but this time we get Vera’s pov too. I was very excited to have their story, and get a look in on Vera's point of view. She is such a strong willed, fierce and a kickass character and so similar to Jared they clash a lot, but in the right ways they are so perfect for each other, it's like they were made for each other.

𝙑𝙚𝙧𝙖 𝙬𝙖𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣. 𝙉𝙤𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙗𝙖𝙙, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙢𝙚.

With Jared now finding out about his mum, his on the search for her, and of course Vera’s set on going with him. Jared fights with his feelings and frustration for Vera, she drives him crazy, and to make things worse she is related to his ex, but Vera just gets under his skin. I loved Vera and Jareds bickering and banter, it was so funny, I found myself laughing out loud at some bits. Basically both of them say it as it is and it's brilliant lol. We found out a lot more about Vera's parents and what happened, why Vera and Casey mum left the island, we also get a little more information on Robert and meet some new characters too, and along with old characters.

So many secrets and discoveries are found and uncovered in the book, it seriously makes your head spin, Alyssa still keeps them coming this way and that, and yes you guessed it another mind blowing cliff-hanger, I mean I had an idea, but still unbelievable. Jared poor guy, I mean they all been through a lot, but his family is so messed up bless him, I gotta say i'm so happy his has Vera, even if he knows he doesn't go for bear shifters, but vera understands him in the best way, and Jared understands her and by the look of the way this book ends there gonna need each other.

𝙎𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙞𝙢. 𝙃𝙚 𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙞𝙧𝙡𝙨 𝙄'𝙙 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙞𝙧𝙡𝙮 𝙜𝙞𝙧𝙡𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙝𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙖 𝙜𝙪𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙞𝙙.

Another amazing book, I seriously enjoyed (The Empire Chronicles) so much. I love all the characters and the amazing discoveries, there is always something going on and I love that, it keeps it so interesting. Bring on the last book for this series. I think we're going to be in for a hell of a thrill ride. If you love paranormal romance then this series is for you. Though start on Book one Flight, that way you get to know all the characters and will love and understand the story better, get the full effect.

This focused solely on Jared and Vera. They take off together to find Jared's mom, the only possible person in his family who hasn't betrayed The Society -- or so he hopes. First stop, Vera's homeland to visit with her mother, who was the last person to possibly see Jared's mom alive.

I wasn't expecting this book to focus on these two... really thought it would be a continuation of Toby & Casey... but I guess now that things are 'set' there, the author did these last two with J&V.

It was a good read beginning to end with action, funny conversations, sexiness, and some good plot twists. Excited to read the last installment.

This book was surprisingly good. The characters were interesting and I loved their interactions. Jared and Vera has these crazy interactions that either touched my heart or made me want to laugh. They really were the perfect couple because they complimented each other so much. The way they were both confident and not afraid to tease the other were some of the best moments within this book.

Overall this book was really good. There was a lot of unexpected twists and turns that were completely unexpected. After reading this book it made me want to go back and read the rest of the series! (I know, I read them out of order!)

I'm disappointed that this wasn’t really a continuation of Casey and Toby's story. I guess I'm not into Jared and Vera's story as much. That being said, I'm still going to read the next one and hope that it comes back around to include more of Casey and Toby.

Let me start with the amazing cover. I love it so much. Once I read the book I understand it completely and it depicts Savor perfectly. Savor was sooo not what I was expecting. I know what to expect from Alyssa Rose Ivy's books but this one blew me away. Alyssa Rose Ivy has a way with the paranormal world and I loved that this book had more of Norco (the Ursus bears homeland) and had so much more crazy going on. Ah! I can't even express most of this because then it would be too many spoiler alerts but I will share as much as I can.

Let's do a little recap from the previous book as to how Jared and Vera are going to end up together in this book. Jared and Vera have a lot of tension going on. They always have since the moment they first me. When Jared is betrayed by both his father and his brother and he discovers that Vera's mom knows about his mother they both go on the journey to Norco together. Vera hasn't seen her mother since she ran away so she has some issues to work out as well. I like the paired up to do this together because their relationship is one of the best.

Jared and Vera are so alike it is uncanny. It is like one knows what the other is thinking. I love it! Both of them are not really into settling down and to watch them bicker with each other is amazing.

"Mom laughed. "Are you sure you two aren't involved?"
"No," we both said at once.
That made her laugh harder: "Well then maybe you should be.
The tension between you two...well let's say I haven't seen worse."

They are so good together and although they both don't admit it they like each other and they want to be in each others lives. I saw a lot of sweet sides to Jared in this book. It is nice to see coming this from the playboy. Vera has a strong character and her and Jared clash sometimes but I think they are perfect for each other. They can keep each other on their toes.

Ok moving on to Norco. So they get to Norco and they meet Vera's mom and Gareth (Vera's real father). This whole situation seems simple at first but boy do not be fooled. Something big is coming. I felt it because Gareth seemed to be hiding something. Jared is involved. Vera is involved. New characters are introduced. The whole situation is crazy! I always think Alyssa Rose Ivy can't make the new books more crazy than the previous ones but I am wrong each time. As the series goes on more craziness occurs. I love it but these people are always having to face bigger problems!

So I can't really talk about this "big" crazy thing but just be prepared. This will give you more insight into the paranormal world which I am always excited to learn more about. As you Alyssa Rose Ivy fans should already know, be ready for a cliffy. Her books always have them but I think with her I know to expect it so it makes me anticipate her next book even more. I don't think I have ever wanted the next book as much as I want this one! Have fun enjoying this book because it will not disappoint!

I have received an ARC copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Firstly, I have to thank Alyssa for providing me with an ARC copy. Secondly, I just want to thank her that she decided to be an author and share all the stories with us. This book is simply amazing. It's thrilling, pulling you in straight away so much that you are just not able to put the book down.

Jared's and Vera are the most funny, infuriating and entertaining couple ever. I loved every letter with them. You are never boring with them. They are both trying to learn how to trust people, how to interact with others and also not to run away from the problems they are facing. And one problem is quite a huge shock for both of them. Their feeling towards each other. What was supposed to be only passion and lust, turned to be a totally different thing. Jealousy, possessiveness and trust are the feeling they promised never to feel.

I just love how Alyssa made those two characters compliment each other. They strong, loyal and stubborn. But they also know how to be there for each other. Even if they don't want to admit it they already give the vibe of the perfect couple and that sends a message to anyone interested: SHE/HE IS MINE!

The story is amazing. It picks up straight after last part: Vera and Jared are travelling to Vera's family Island, where she is supposed to meet her mother and father. But they both don't expect to find secrets, fate and possibility of a war, that no one could have seen coming.

I loved this part. Jared is the one for me. I love Levi and Owen, but Jared with his jerk attitude and soft heart is the thing that always pulls me to a perfect book boyfriend.

I can't wait for the next part, especially when you can see that everyone starts to fall into place from other books, creating an even more amazing story!

Amazing, HUGE Fat 5 Stars (even though there is not enough stars to give!)

Love Jared and Vera!

Savor was beautifully written as always. I expect nothing less from ARI. It was really well edited as well. And I still can't get over the cover. Gorgeous! I loved the moment in the book when the cover suddenly made perfect sense. I loved the POVs as I always do. ARI really does some of the greatest POV writing I've read and her characters are incredibly well rounded and real.

The storyline was a perfect amount of build up and revelations. When Stay ended, Jared and Vera were embracing their physical attraction while still bickering with one another. Vera offers to help Jared find his mother if they can visit her mother and biological father first. Savor is the first part of this journey.

Again to avoid spoilers, this will be a rough overview. Jared and Vera do indeed make it to Norco to meet with her parents. The pair become worried that secrets are being kept from them and team up to try to piece the puzzle together. In addition to keeping tabs on what's happening around them, the physical tension between the two is overwhelming. While Vera is still the tough woman we love and Jared is still a cocky bad boy, we get to see small peaks at their softer sides as they explore one another.

We also find out that Norco has some very big secrets. And after another horrible encounter with the witches (pesky witches), Vera realizes she may play a larger role in the future of the bear shifters than she ever expected to. The final cliffhanger is epic. On the way to find Jared's mom, Levi shows up and drops a bomb. It's literally a mic drop moment. I was so so shocked I couldn't even be mad at the cliffhanger.

I just adore Jared and Vera. I think they may be the most interesting pair of characters in the different Pteron series. They have such awesome personalities that set them apart and make them a perfect foil for one another.

I easily give Savor 5 stars and highly recommend it. I can't wait for book 5, Storm.

I recevied this book from the author for an honest review.

I think every book of Alyssa I proclaim my love for her characters annnnnnd this one is not gonna be any different. Jared *dreamy sigh*. He has been throught alot and he has finally found the woman....errr.....bear of his dreams???? Say it isnt so!! Vera is the PERFECT person for Jared. The two are sarcastic and overly sexual but honest and fierce when they protect people.

This book starts off with a BANG. From the very first page you are just in deep. You really are just absorbed in this story from begining to the end. Jared and Vera are going to her family island. She is the princess and expected to take her place to reign. Jared is helping her to find his mother who he was told was dead.

Vera's dad and mom play major roles in getting Vera and Jared to maybe...possibly....mate??? I mean for the good of Vera and to help Jared find his mom only of course. Now the two might do it but not outta a love or anything CRAZY like that....but ....maybe......could there be???? LOVE?????

Jared and Vera are on the island when those bad witches attack. They are left to try and protect an ancient secret that Vera's Dad has been guarding. The witch attack will leave Jared and Vera to team up with 2 other bears who seem like a hot mess for a team but actually prove to be amazing allies.

ANNNND of course on the last page in the last chapter in the last line Alyssa threw an epic curve ball. I swear I love her stories but her curve balls are even more epic!!! I cannot wait for more Jared and Vera.

Savor takes you away from the Pteron world for a bit and dives deeply into the world of the bears. Vera and Jared explore the island of the bears. Vera learns about her role in her society and Jared learns a few secrets they’re keeping as well as some things about his family. Along the way, these two develop a mutual understanding and trust, as well as act on their growing sexual tension. While I still get a kick out of Alyssa’s writing, this book didn’t wow me like the rest of the series has.

As much as I think Vera and Jared are great together, I just didn’t connect to them as much as I have with the other couples. Usually, I love the back and forth banter and dialogue, but with them I felt like it was too much banter. It was overkill. Sure, Jared is his usual edgy self and Vera is strong-willed and snarky. I honestly did like them both separate and together, but the way their story progressed just didn’t flow right with me. I also thought there wasn’t much overall story progression, just more focus on Vera filling her role as heiress to their society and everyone wanting her to choose a mate. I just wasn’t as engaged as I usually am with Alyssa’s books.

Maybe it’s because I’m just not interested in the bears as much as the Pterons. I didn’t care for Vera’s parents and I felt like a lot of the characters were too pushy and too many secrets were held for too long for reasons that weren’t good enough for me. I’m not a fan of the “I’m going to tease with you this secret, but I’m not going to tell you until ‘the time is right'” plot point. I’m still interested in this story as a whole and this upcoming battle between the shape-shifters and the witches is turning into a very intense one. I’m eager to see how it all turns out and I’ll still be checking out Storm.

Big thank to Alyssa for an ARC copy for review.

There is nothing like an Alyssa Rose Ivy novel to brighten up by weekend. And let me just say that there is never a dull moment in Jared and Vera's world.

Mixed with plenty of in your face action, unfolding drama, puzzling moments and surprises, not to mention the abundance of sexual tension. This is exactly what makes this series addicting.

I love how well Jared and Vera compliment one another. They are strong willed, brave, opinionated and loyal. When they were first introduced I wasn't sure how things would go between them, but further along in their journey the reader can see just how strong of a connection they have. Just like the other couples before fate works it's magic. One of my favorite things was Vera's mom and her pep talks regarding love.

Taliana shook her head. "You can't be serious."
"Why not? You truly believe that everyone has the capacity for love?"
"Not everyone, but you do. You have love for your friends, for a mother you barely remember, yet you don't believe you'll ever find romantic love?"
"Maybe it's about finding the right person."
She snorted. "Jared, you can lay off the pretense. I can see right through it." ~ Taliana and Jared

A wise woman she is. Of course, we see Levi, which is a bonus. I love how he has filled his role as king so wonderfully. Though things get interesting toward the end and we are left with a cliffhanger, when Jared finds out some unexpected news. I was thrown three a loop probably just like Jared was. What is going to happen next Alyssa?! I have to know!

There we go! Everything this book's predecessor lacked, this one has!

First off, this book is told in two first person point of views. Jared's and Vera's. Doing double point of views is all the rage nowadays in Young Adult and New Adult books, but Alyssa did an amazing job at it.

I already had a good sense of Jared's character beforehand since he has been in all of the previous books. But in Savor, he shows a different side to the reader. He has a soft side and you can actually see him starting to fall in love.

Vera is an awesome character. She's not your regular damsel in distress either. She's strong on her own and she doesn't need a man in her life to feel happy or to depend on. She's a sex demon and a complete tease, and she's the female equivalent of Jared. Even though they're quite similar, they compliment each other perfectly.

The romance was subtle, even though the attraction between Vera and Jared was almost instantaneous, but their back and forth teasing and banter gradually grew into something deeper and I liked seeing the change progress throughout the story. The sex scenes were on point and the passion raging between the two characters was almost tangible and real.

There was actually a workable plot. There was content in the book and it made for an interesting story, but I had to admit that it felt short. It was 264 pages, but I still needed more. I kind of wanted a bit more of a bang for my buck, but still the story was enjoyable. I just wish the book wasn't so damn short.

Congratulations Alyssa Rose Ivy. You've written yourself a damn good book and unlike your previous book Stay, you didn't disappoint me.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it was my favourite book of the series so far. I loved getting more of Vera and Jared. They’re perfect together. They annoy the sh*t out of each other but they’d both be so bored if they didn’t have someone to challenge them. I loved their interactions they’re basically the same person. I loved getting to see more of Norca Island and Vera and Casey’s parents Gareth and Taliana as we didn’t get much of them in book 3. I loved how Vera wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. I loved how both Vera and Jared came up with a plan to find out everything they can from her parents and report back to each other in bed at night time as they know that they wont the same goal to protect those they love so they can trust each other and they realise that her parents aren’t being completely truthful. Vera and Jared are on Norco to find answers to the possible whereabouts of his mum since she disappeared years ago. She was the women who helped Taliana after she woke up at the summit completely naked, sore and with no memory of what happened to her. Taliana and Robert were basically magically roofied when Casey was conceived both against their will. Levi definitely gave Jared some information he wasn’t expecting about his mum so I’m looking forward to see how he reacts to the news and I’m also looking forward to getting more of Vera and Jared as they along with Slade and Gemma finish the quest that Gareth gave them to basically save the world from the witches and to save Jared’s mum who is at a haven of witches. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.

I liked this for Vera and Jared. The last book (Stay) was with four POVs and it introduced us to Vera and Jared. This time it was solely Jared and Vera narrating the story. I had really wanted a story just for them and I really liked how they were here.

The main problem for me is even though I enjoyed it, I still am getting bored with the story-- this series probably. I dunno if I am not into shifters any more (I guess I never was into shifters) but the whole story-line is-- I am starting to get uninterested. I guess. I am hoping the next book is the last book. Sort of. *shrugs*

I liked the book don't get me wrong, Jared and Vera were funny. LOL.

I love this series for being quick reads. Also, new adult genre can be a hit and miss for me. And in this case, I guess it is more closer to being a miss. It is only just me. It can totally be a hit for other readers.

So, things ended on a dire note, so dreading the next book's contents. Loving the title for the next book, 'Storm'.

Teaser:
"You do." I put a hand on my hip. I didn't have time for Jared's games.
"How do you know?"
"I just do."
"You're are infuriating."
I groaned. "And what are you?"
"Charming."

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I got into The Empire Chronicles series late - with this book. If you are concerned about having to read the other books first know that you can read this one on its own. HOWEVER, I recommend starting from the beginning. I plan on going back and doing just that. While I never felt lost, I enjoyed the book so much, I want to read them all.

Vera & Jared are amazing. I love stories where the MCs just absolutely refuse to believe that they are falling for each other and even when they start to admit it o themselves, they just know the other person won't want to commit. It makes the eventual coupling (which you may or may not actually get to see in this installment since there is a MAJOR cliffhanger) that much more rewarding for me as a reader.

But understand, Savor is much, much more than a PNR. It was/is a strong story of personal growth and maturity. Savor has so many wonderful characters and vivid imagery you cannot help but become lost in the world Alyssa Rose Ivy has created.

Now, excuse me, I need to go and start from the beginning......

Wow! I love this series! Jared and Vera's relationship grows stronger than either of them could ever imagine. A lot goes on in this one, and I won't spoil it, by telling you everything. What's the fun in that?! I will tell you Jared agreed to accompany Vera to her father's island so she can see her parents and everything goes smoothly. Vera get's to reconnect with her parents and makes some new friends. Her father let's Jared in on a family secret that very few people know about, that includes Vera. Her father holds a ceremony to help Vera find her mate. Needless to say, all hell broke loose soon after! If you haven't started reading this series yet, You need to! This and all the Chronicle series are Amazing! These are the kind of books, Once you start reading them, you can't put them down! Alyssa Rose is an Amazing author! She has created an amazing new world, and trust me it's one of a kind! Happy Reading!
