Maple Valley Heroes #3

The Firefighter’s Promise

Rate this book
Her electrical fire sparked more than her house...

Dr. Zara Washington never expected that faulty wiring would bring sexy firefighter Marcus Rodriguez into her life. After escaping a devastating scandal in Chicago, this brilliant Black physician hoped Maple Valley would be a quiet place to rebuild her career. Instead, she finds herself increasingly drawn to the Latino single father next door.

Lieutenant Marcus Rodriguez has one focus since losing his raising his eight-year-old daughter, Sofia. The handsome firefighter-paramedic doesn't have time for attraction—but he can't stop thinking about his independent new neighbor.

As Marcus helps repair Zara's Victorian home, their chemistry becomes undeniable. His tender care with Sofia reveals a man whose strength goes beyond the physical. And for the first time since her professional disaster, Zara finds herself opening up to possibilities she never imagined.

When a devastating storm threatens the town and Sofia goes missing, Zara risks everything to find the little girl she's grown to love. In facing her deepest fears, she discovers that true healing—and home—might be where she least expected it.

The Firefighter's Promise is a steamy, emotional small-town romance featuring a biracial couple discovering that the families we choose are the strongest of all.

longer but beautiful

I appreciate getting to know characters and following them through mistakes, doubts and fears. Overcoming it all and still finding love…
Well done.
