Bogart “Romeo” Anderson has just separated from the Navy to follow his former team leader into the private sector. With his movie star good looks, SEAL training and outgoing personality, Bo has always been confident—until he failed to protect his friend and team leader’s woman. Struggling with self-doubt and the fear that he’ll let down those who depend on him, Bo is unsure of his place at Guardian Security. That is, until he meets the sweet and beautiful Carmen, who turns to him for help.
Carmen Caspi is excited to begin her new job working for her uncle as a veterinary technician in Silver Falls. She’s always felt more at ease with animals than people, so the quiet town and the job are a perfect fit. But when she begins to notice an uptick in injured animals, Carmen begins to suspect there is something more sinister happening in the quaint town. With nothing more than a hunch, she turns to the one man she can’t stop thinking about—Bo Anderson.
When Carmen confides her suspicions to Bo, he knows this is his chance at redemption. Keeping Carmen close while they investigate is no hardship, but Bo knows he has to stay focused to keep her—and the town—safe. With the help of his team, Guardian Security takes on its first mission, unaware that the threat is bigger than they imagined.
Guarding Carmen is the 2nd book in the Guardian Series. Each book is a stand-alone, HEA, with no cliffhanger endings.
READ THIS BOOK! It’s an amazing story filled with interesting characters and a smooth plot. You’ll always want to know what’s happening next, and it’s a fun mystery to guess! Definitely adding it to the favorites.
I loved the slow burn of Bo and Carmen, how they truly understood each other and had a connection - very personal and lovely to read about.
I also really liked how Carmen was a vet, since I love animals it was so cool to see her helping them and caring so deeply for them. The storyline was immaculate, and had me on the edge of my seat every time I picked the book up.
It was so nice to see more of the SEAL team in this book, and each of them having their own distinct personalities and connections with each other is something I love. Their ability to work together and be there for each other is great to read about and I want more of it!
I’m eager to get my hands on the next book—Guarding Drew—once it’s out, and get to know Trigger better. He seems like someone fun to be around and a good person overall. I just want to be friends with this group!
