Ekonomiczna analiza prawa

Rate this book
Następnie autorzy przedstawiają w dziewięciu rozdziałach podejście z perspektywy ekonomicznej do następujących dziedzin prawa: prawa rzeczowego, prawa umów, prawa deliktów, procedury sądowej oraz prawa karnego.

This is an interesting topic, but I feel like it needs a warning label to remind everyone that economics isn’t a perfect science. Economic theory in the law has its place and value, but as usual legal economists assume every ill in the law can be fixed by efficiency and a graph. Economists are the only people even more likely than lawyers to assume everyone is a rational actor who will proceed like a laboratory model. Economics and contracts are a match made in heaven — economics and criminal law are an Orwellian nightmare.

I really did not like it while I was reading but it forever changed the way that I looked at pretty much everything. Game theory infected me via this book.

Just thought I would let my friends know what I am currently reading. I am about half way through this enchanting book. As of yet there has been no romance or comedy but I am staying optimistic. I am also reading two books on Negotiations (preparing for my MBA class that I teach this Spring). I wont get to read anything fun until Spring Break. Poor Kirsten cant read anything fun until at least July. Stay classy Chapman's and remember that personality mirroring and getting your name out there...a lot, is the key to success.
BTW why isnt there a GoodMovies website? After all the print is dead (except for the few of us that still like something solid to hold, examine and read). Film is the art form of our times.

after I finish *ga bener2 selesai siy sebenernya* with this book, I kinda have an extra appreciation to those economist out there who willing to study such complexity offered by this field of knowledge...phhffiuuhh

this book is very comprehensive in trying to introduce lawyers to the important of familiarity with economic issues that they deal with, but from an economist perspective...
It has openned my eyes and provided me with rationale of how a law should solve social problems through some economic calculations...

even that the author and this book itself is not the first in the field of law and eceonomics, the author tries to update the knowledge of their readers through a website link for some sections in this book...

Solid introduction to the field of law and economics. Anyone can read this. It presupposes virtually no knowledge on economics or law -- a brief synopsis of basic microeconomics and the common law system is presented at the outset. Sure, it's a textbook, but it's a great one -- one of the few I actually plan to keep (although that may be because I have it conveniently saved in PDF form on my hard drive).
