"Nothing changes if I change nothing."

Dr. Jenna Weston, new PhD in hand, heads to London for a chance at research with Lifandi, a prestigious company that could change her life. However, getting lost in the woods may have changed that when the person who saves her turns out to be not only overly attractive but possibly her new boss?

Stefan Domstrom is as flummoxed as Jenna is. If his hidden life is compromised then what happens? With Jenna's skills he could save his people. But the attraction is palpable.

Between the sparks and the knowledge they share this becomes a fantastic opportunity to change their world(s) for the better

I have to say, I started reading this book and at first I thought it felt very romantasy formulaic. I almost stopped reading but I didn't and spent the better part of the day reading everything and I am so glad I did. I cannot recommend this book highly enough for an intelligent romance that is tinged with fantasy. Highly Recommended 5/5

Such a beautiful love story❤️

I loved L. E. Sunwick’s world building in this fast 💨 paced action book 📕 I so hated Giselle though omg 🙄 although she did sort of 🤏🏼 redeem herself near the end but still, such a bitch and don’t even get me started abut Mr. Gideon and the council members Oye vey 👀🤦🏻‍♀️but the beautiful, satisfying ending made up for them lol 😆

I felt proud to finally stand my ground in front of her, and I felt so stupid for giving her power over me when Stefan’s love had already put me above her hate.

I claim you, Jenna Weston, as my one and only for life. For however long that may be.”

“And I claim you, Stefan Domstrom, for however long my heart beats.

I am gobsmacked with how much life author L. E. Sunwick infused into ‘My Immortal Elf’. It is complex, utterly fascinating, and delightfully spicy. The glossary and pronunciation guide, as well as the note on historical sources, are nothing short of amazing.

I became so deeply invested in Stefan and Jenna’s happiness, the title of chapter 13 gave me anxiety. I gave up a prayer I would make it through to the end of that chapter with my heart intact. As I delved further and further into their heart pounding, intoxicating tale of love, ‘My Immortal Elf’ pulsed every known emotion through my veins—earning every grunt, groan, gasp, laugh, growl, and tear that falls.

P. S. We all know this ends in HEA—While I won’t tell you how, what, why, or when, I will tell you: The road to Stefan and Jenna’s Happily Ever After is rough, tough, and edge-of-your-seat … and … they both fight with honor, integrity, and the purest of love.

P. S. S. Since they are redeemable … I can’t believe I said that … Giselle and Gideon are two people that I’m guessing will have some serious ‘come to Jesus’ moments in future books. Hmmmm

I really enjoyed the standalone novella set in this world I got when I signed up to the author’s newsletter, so I have been looking forward to reading this book.

And this turned out to be a delicious read.

I liked Jenna from the start, she's smart, resourceful, and wants to do good, even if it comes at the cost of her own happiness. Stefan was a hunky elf, out to do good as well, so what's not to love!
The story was fun, but with a lot of suspense. Even though this is a romance, these two have to fight for their love and for their future. Not just the bad guys were trying to drive them apart. Between the lighter heartwarming moments and the steamier scenes there's lots of stuff going on that impacts the two of them and the elven world. At times it seemed as if a Happily Ever After could easily drift out of their reach.

I can tell you I was totally engrossed and was invested in them saving the day and their love. (The ending of this book was very satisfying, I can tell you.)

The worldbuilding is really cool as well, and there were several side characters who were really interesting. One of the ones I really liked is the lead character of book 2 in this series - which I already bought a while ago - so you bet I will read that soon.

Why should you read it:
Hot Immortal Elves! Even the bad guys are Hot!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. My Immortal Elf is a delightful read that truly shines, especially for those who appreciate a unique blend of fantasy and intellect. I absolutely loved this book, and it quickly became a favorite.
One of the standout features of My Immortal Elf is its unapologetically nerdy appeal. The dialogue often takes on a wonderfully scientific tone, which is a refreshing and engaging element in a fantasy setting. If you enjoy a story where characters aren't afraid to dive into technical or academic discussions, you'll find this aspect particularly charming and well-executed.
Beyond the clever banter, the character development of the FMC is truly captivating. Watching her journey unfold as she gradually sheds her inhibitions and blossoms into a more confident individual is incredibly satisfying. Her transformation feels authentic and provides a strong emotional core to the narrative.
I wholeheartedly recommend My Immortal Elf to anyone looking for a fantasy novel that breaks the mold. It's a fantastic choice for readers who appreciate intelligent characters, a touch of scientific flair, and a compelling arc of personal growth.

Claimed by the Immortal Elf, had everything you could think of; Romance, Suspense, Steaminess, and Enemies. I enjoyed the book, the author seems to put a lot into her characters and make them realistic. They are naturalists, but with the human race destroying nature. This book is about Stefan a elf and Jenna a human who have fallen in love, and despite their races they overcame everything that was pretty much thrown at them from a jealous woman to a elf that wants to go home to alfheim no matter the justification.
I received a complimentary ARac copy from the author for a fair and honest review.

Jenna meets Stefan unexpectedly and things get heated and then she fins out he will be her new boss.
Jenna is strong, romantic and determined to put everything on the line for love. Stefan is charismatic, powerful and caring and is willing to do anything to be with Jenna.
This is a good story with many variables and they story will keep you engaged until the final page.
This is a compete story arc but the series will continue.

I absolutely loved this book. This was so different to most books you read about elves and the fae. It drew me in and devoured me whole. The fact that the elves worked in the Viking way of life was incredible I really loved that input .. if you love fast paced fantasy with a huge touch of Viking lore you must read this book

This standalone book was such fun, but with a lot of suspense. Don’t let this books genre of being romance fool you, the characters have to fight for their life and future! There are heartwarming moments, steamy spicy scenes and a lot of stuff going on that severely impacts them and the elven world. Is their happily ever after drifting out of their reach?! You’ll have to read to see!

Claimed by my Immortal Elf was really good! I would recommend this book. 18+

The book starts off by giving backstory of how the elf's ended up here, and that there is different clans. The Thallon clan wants to wipe out the human race. Duke Stephen's clan is trying to find a way to prevent the human race from getting wiped out. Both clans are against humans and elf's getting married. Duke Stephen (elf) falls for Jenna (human) together they work on a plan to stop the Thallons. Will they be able to prevent the wipe out of the humans? More importantly will the clan accept the duke and Jenna's relationship?

I think the book was well written. I enjoyed the backstory and storyline. There is spicy parts but it doesn't take away from the book. There are characters you will love and some you will hate. I'm excited to know there is more books already out so I don't have to wait to see what else happens!

I do recommend looking up the trigger warnings if they may effect you.

I couldn't put this book down. It had everything I was looking for - political intrigue between warring clans, complex characters, and an intriguing world that brings together science and magic in an interesting way. I wouldn't be surprised if some classified this book as sci-fi even though the elf characters make it clearly fantasy too.

The world is unique and I think there are more stories to come out of this world. The characters are complex - there are some I know I am supposed to hate right now, but they've demonstrated a vulnerability and purity of intention (even if their methods are flawed), that makes me think we have not seen the last of them. Could some of them redeem themselves? If they do, it is going to be an intriguing journey to get to that point and I can't wait to see it.

DNFd at 29%, sadly this book wasn't for me

We can start off with the plot, which there really isn't one. Or if there was, I couldn't follow it with the multiple POVs in one chapter.

The chapters were so long and a lot of the stuff was pointless to read and didn't add anything to the book except just filler.

Smut---there was a lot in the small amount I read. Now I have nothing against smut, but I do think this was so ungodly cringe and I just flipped through it to get back to the story line but that also fell flat and was cringe.

Wish it was better because I love to read fantasy but it was not it for me.

I absolutely loved this book

Jenna has moved to England to interview for a new job, nothing more. She meets Stefan while on a walk and they connect straight away. When she then finds out that he’s to be her new boss things they are both unsure what they should do but they work really well together, dealing with more than one obstacle to protect humanity and their love for each other.

Jenna and Stefan are great characters, and I loved the combination of action, humor and really steamy romance that this book has. I would strongly recommend this and can’t wait for the next.

Claimed by My Immortal Elf is a passionate, sultry journey. L. E. Sunwick delivers characters that are both believable and likable. Jenna is a human who falls in love with an elf-an elfin duke. This is the story of their struggle to find acceptance in the elfin world. An action-packed adventure from beginning to end.

An amazing life

This tale is one of adventure, magical power's with plenty of mystery and suspence to give a romantic relationship every opportunity to fail, with a clan's involvement a prior maiden wanting what she couldn't achieve along with all the issues that go along with loving someone who is immortal and your not.

This book grabs you from the very beginning. Our main characters meet in a rather unexpected way that sets the tone for the entire book. This book was filled with suspense, drama, romance, and of course some spice. This was a non-stop adventure, there is never a great place to put the book down because you need to see what happens. I loved it, I can’t wait to see what happens next.

The story line was good, but I just found myself scoffing at some of the lines in this book. They were lines at weren’t well worded or could have been used with better synonyms, kind of childish at times. There were many grammatical and spelling errors. It was decent on the spice to plot ratio, diving right in on the first chapter. Unfortunately, won’t be delving into the rest of the series.

Wattpad vibes, and not in a good way.

This book jumps straight into the spice and doesn’t let up, which would be fine if it was good erotica, but it isn’t—the dialogue is especially cringeworthy—onomatopoeic breathy moaning with lots of ellipses. The MCs jump immediately into bondage without discussion or a safe word. There’s also no real romantic tension because they jump into bed the second they meet, and despite the plot’s potential to create physical and emotional separation between the MCs, i.e. the “forbidden love” aspect as addressed in the byline, they both decide to ignore their common sense and better judgment because they’ve fallen in insta-love.

As for the “age gap” portion of the byline, MMC is fae and is over 100 years old, but he doesn’t think or talk any differently than anyone else, especially the FMC (I thought this was why people would go for an advertised age gap? Especially in light of the fact that MMC is obviously not a “silver fox” due to his eternal youth. Can you tell this is not my kink?) All of the POV characters appear to think and speak exactly the same, and so it feels both jarring and pointless when we are jerked from this POV to that one multiple times mid-chapter.

But what made me finally stop reading, honestly, was the inarticulate sentence structure and repetitive explanations. Author struggles with tense changes, and a proofreader should’ve caught it, but it happened multiple times on the same page, and that’s when I got frustrated. Quotes:

These 3 lines are all from the same page. I think that captures the problem pretty succinctly.

A Good Read

I was waiting for a new release when I stumbled across this series. Book 1 was a bit predictable but there were some chin dropping moments. There’s not a lot of world building since it takes place in modern times. For someone who relishes in the world building of Maas and Armentrout this was a very quick read, but I’m looking forward to book 2.

Elven Realm Revealed

Mortals and Elves are not supposed to fall in love but the bond between Jenna and Stefan can't be avoided. The excitement of the plot and the complex nature of the problem blended into a fantastic story that I was unable put down. It was a great read.

Jenna went to England to pursue an internship with one of the most prestigious pharmaceutical companies. She did not expect to see Stefan again after their last encounter. I enjoyed the storyline and the chemistry between the characters.

The smut was good, but I found myself not falling into the story. It wasn’t a bad read by any means, and if you want spice, you’ll get plenty, but the story itself didn’t really do it for me.

Made it about half way through. The idea of the plot was good but a lot of it seemed to be fluff to make it longer. I skipped the spicy scenes because they were just too cringey, and I read a lot of smut.
