DUCHESS is the first instalment in Crimson Syn’s contemporary, adult ROYAL HARLOTS MC: NYC National Chapter dark, erotic, MC romance series, a spin off set in the RBMC world. This is Stephanie ‘Duchess’ Winter, the daughter of founding member Leo ‘The Guardian’ Winters, and sister to Colton Winters, and Turkish Mob King Caleb Killic’s story line.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Duchess and Caleb) following three times lines DUCHESS focuses on the sins of the past. Fifteen years earlier Stephanie Winter’s life imploded when her boyfriend was murdered, and the Turkish mob came gunning for her head. Years would pass,Duchess and Rhea ‘Roulette’ Barton would form the Royal Harlots MC but the return of Caleb Killic forced Stephanie Winters’ hand, as they partnered with her brother’s RBMC. Fast forward to present, having now established the national chapter in NYC, Stephanie ‘Duchess’ Winter will come face to face with the past in the guise of Turkish Mafia King Caleb Killic, a man determined to take back what he believes he is owed But not everyone is happy with Caleb’s success, and betrayal will come from within for our story line couple.

The world building follows several paths as both Duchess and Caleb climb the proverbial corporate ladder of crime and power. The Royal Harlots MC are a successful group of female MCs, spread throughout North America; Caleb’s successful business ventures are but the tip of the iceberg for the Turkish mob.

The relationship between Caleb and Stephanie is acrimonious at best. Believing each hated the other, Stephanie aka Duchess found herself hiding in plain sight in an effort to stay more than one step ahead of the man gunning for her head. Caleb Killic has been in love with the Duchess for as long as he can remember but orders from above threaten any future and the life of the woman he loves. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense with some issues of questionable consent and stalking.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and familiar secondary and supporting characters including the return of several members of the RBMC. We are introduced to Royal Harlots-hacker Elizabeth ‘Black Obsidian’ Pemberton; VP Rhea ‘Roulette ‘ Barton; Calypso, Road Captain Lantana, SAA Paramore, Tail Gunner and Marketing Manager Mirage, Stiletto, War Lady Demise. The requisite evil has a familiar face. Roulette’s story line is next.

DUCHESS is a story of betrayal and vengeance, obsession and madness, power and control, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is dark, dramatic and edgy; the romance is limited as our couple spend most of the story line apart. The characters are determined and charismatic.

if i could i would give more than 5 stars, why? when i think of women i wished for as a kid in books or movies or whatever ... i didn't wish for a lady to scream at a stupid scary scene or whatever ... i wanted a girl (women, woman) who was tough, strong, could hold her own. Duchess is 1 of those, love that, most important, i can't stand women who are weak come on now. (i mean i know it might sound tough but you can be crying in your boots but on the outside you are cool as a cucumber. come on now!!) and maybe you prefer otherwise, i am not knocking either side ... but when i read a book (watch a movie) i don't want a lady cowarding (cowardly, lacks courage to endure dangerous or unpleasant things) over in the corner, she needs to hold her own, be strong, be ready to face whatever she needs to face, yes, she knows how to be quiet and see what is coming. maybe there are MEN out there and that is why so many books and movies are like that ... they want their women weak? we had a young man chatting with us recently ...he was like 30ish ... and he was divorced, he married for looks, well my mom always said : looks die. loyalty, honor and faithful ladies are there for the test of time. i mean beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say. come on now!
read it. enjoyed it. hated that it was over, i finally felt i was on the role with all the characters, not saying if you have not read the ones before u will be lost, but it has been a while since i read anything from Crimson, so i was jumping back in and the book ended. boo hoo. sad Beth. oh well, more to come i am sure. loved it. read it. go on. please CS give us more strong tough ladies. thanks.

A great start to what this reader believes is going to be an outstanding new series for Crimson. Duchess is a part of the new Royal Harlots MC series. If you’ve read the RBMC series, these ladies are their counterparts and sisters in arms. Duchess is the Prez of the Home chapter as well as the National President of the Royal Harlots and this is her story.

Ms. Syn has given us readers a thrilling storyline from start to finish. It’s full of action, romance, betrayals and twists and turns in true Crimson writing style. Duchess, aka Stephanie, and Caleb make for one dynamic couple, both in the heat factor behind closed doors and the powerful MC Alpha factor. But don’t let your guard down… this book will take you on one heck of a ride. Grab it us asap, you won’t be sorry you did so.

You will be cheering for Stephanie and Caleb. They are an amazing power couple and the chemistry is HOT, HOT! NO SPOILERS!! I was unable to stop reading once I started and didn't take a break until I reached the end. The action keeps you on the edge of your seat not to sure where it is all going to take you. I loved all the twists and turns. This is a must read!

Wow, This book. It is so good, that once I started reading there was no putting it down until the last word was read, and then I needed more. The pace at which this book moves along is perfect for this story, speeding up and slowing down when necessary. These characters are so read that you feel as though you know them and that you are with them throughout the story. You will love these characters. This book is a must read and I am looking forward to learning more about these characters and the rest of the Harlots. This book needs to be on your TBR list, no doubt about it.

This is the first installment of the Royal harlots mc by Crimson Syn. This is Duchess and Caleb‘s story. It is definitely a wild ride with plenty of dangers to satisfy one’s need for danger. She starts the very first chapter of the royal harlots MC. He is a Turkish mobster. The combination just doesn’t really go well together, but somehow with all the games they play and the near death Misses they have. It is definitely a story. You don’t want to miss reading. Definitely check out this book and how it ends. I definitely recommend it.

Loved this book. Loved!! That Duchess didn't fall into the arms of the man at the first hurdle. Too many books undermine the strength of the powerful woman by making her too easily weakened by her male counterpart. Bravo writer 👏

Disappointed

More mafia than MC and I personally was disappointed. I totally disliked Caleb and found nothing redeeming in him. Duchess deserves so much better.
