The literary mosaic is an all encompassing and absorbing read. The authors of this book have give a diverse range of emotions and feelings and the compliation by Abhishek Thakkar and Purba Chakraborty ensures that these poems and short stories not reach the reader's heart but also reign over the tribulations and struggles of their life. By providing a sense of independence and inspiration, this anthology carves its way to show the journey from being broken and hopeless to rising up as the phoenix.

I have always admired Abhishek Thakkar and Purba Chakraborty's writing style, they have an unique ability to make resonance to your thoughts. And each time they uplifted me to believe that good deeds and positivity makes everything worth it. In this epic collection, you will find poets who have poured their heart out and revealed an unsaid part of theirselves like never before.

I really appreciate the book's theme which is to encourage the creativity of diversified voices. Every author has his or her own unique style and a way of adding warmth and comfort to their words, through this compliation we wholeheartedly witness the magic of potential. There are poems of inner happiness, grief, hope, love, self- reflections, tranquility, and more.

There's a short story called "From home to Varanasi" that truly touched my heart. It's a story of overcoming validation from others and securing a sense of peace and acceptance from within. From the struggles of keeping everyone happy and fear of losing the freedom to finding out who you truly are and being grateful for the solace.

If you are an ardent poetry and short stories anthology enthusiast then this book should be next on your reading plans.

This book really lives up to its title — it’s a true mosaic of poems and short stories by different writers, each bringing their own voice and emotion. Some pieces are raw and relatable, some lyrical and thoughtful, and a few lingered with me long after reading. Others felt lighter, but that’s the nature of an anthology: not everything hits the same, but together they create a rich variety.

What stood out to me is how heartfelt the collection feels. It doesn’t try to be overly polished or pretentious — instead, it captures simple emotions like love, loss, hope, and resilience in ways that feel genuine. It’s the kind of book you don’t have to rush through; you can dip into it when you want a quick read or a dose of inspiration.

Overall, The Literary Mosaic is less about one perfect narrative and more about many small voices blending into something meaningful. For anyone who enjoys exploring different moods and perspectives, it’s a lovely and refreshing pick.

🪄 Some books open windows into emotions we didn’t know we needed this is one such collection. This anthology brings together 44 emotionally rich poems and short stories from writers and poets across India. The result is a soul stirring literary tapestry where every thread has meaning.

🧚🏼‍♀️ What stood out most is the sheer diversity not just of voices, but of emotions and themes.

Some poems made me pause, reread, and lose myself in their rhythm and depth, as if I wasn’t just reading them, but becoming part of them. The short stories are equally engaging raw, heartfelt, and deeply relatable.

✨Poems like Sun of Harji, Son of Amba by Abhishek Thakkar explores the spiritual journey in such a beautifully evocative way And just when I thought it couldn’t get more personal, I came across his tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput - The Brightest Star. As someone who has always admired Sushant, this poem felt like a warm beam of remembrance and admiration.❤️

Purba Chakraborty's poem Journey was another favorite. Her line, “I sail in your love every new moon to full moon - my timeless journey,” is heartwarming. Her writing holds a kind of timeless grace that pulls you in.

There are many standout pieces in the collection:
🎶An Unremarkable Life, a poignant story of childhood friendship and the quiet beauty of belonging.
🎶The Wrong Way by 17 yr Avishi, whose words hold the kind of wisdom and magic.
🎶Those Hands by Ayushi Mishra, a deeply moving reflection on grief and loss.
🎶Against All Odds by Linda V, a story of perseverance and faith in oneself.
🎶Lost and Kintsugi by Ronak Shah, layered and reflective.

Each contributor in This book brings a unique voice, every piece feels like it has earned its place in this collection. It’s a celebration of storytelling and poetic expression. Abhishek Thakkar and Purba Chakraborty deserve heartfelt appreciation for curating such a powerful platform for diverse literary voices.

✨ Such books reminds why literature continues to be one of the most meaningful forms of connection we have.

The Literary Mosaic [Compiled & Edited by @abhishekvthakkar1010 & @purba_chakraborty]

This book is a collection of 44 poems and short stories contributed by various authors.

The poems have thought-provoking themes of spirituality, love, grief, loneliness, gender inequality, resilience, martial abuse, womanhood, human fragility and many more. With such diverse themes it truly feels like a mosaic of voices and emotions.

All the poems are beautiful but some really stayed in my mind like the spiritual poem 'Sun of Harji, Son of Amba' written by the compiler himself -Abhishek Thakkar. This poem feels so meditative. The second one also by him is very beautifully written and dedicated to actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Another poem 'Skin & Bones' by Gitika Mittal shows the pain of feeling disconnected from yourself. 'Okay or Not Okay?' is very unsettling as it speaks of martial abuse. 'If i were a boy' by Dhritika Deka shows the reality of how girls feel restricted for just being a female.

The poems are easy to understand. Some are written in free verse while some in rhyme form. The short stories were equally good.

The author has done a great job of bringing these voices in form of this book as these authors get a platform to showcase their work.

I have shared a few poems in the slides please do read it. If you are into poetry then you will enjoy this collection.
